Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:Was it just a dream?

Vidyakant was in a state of confusion. He was perplexed, unsure whether to enter the white door or not. In the end, he decided to enter the door. A strange, unsettled feeling gnawed at him as he hesitated before the door his brows furrowed in confusion. After he stepped inside, everything was black. He began to fall, his eyes widening in dread when he realizing that he was falling into the void.

Vidyakant looked up and felt a wave of dread creep over him. The sight sent goosebumps down his spine.

The circular emblem with intricate, interwoven patterns. At its center is a black sun being eclipsed, with jagged, claw-like extensions instead of smooth curves. Surrounding the sun are four concentric rings, each filled with shifting, ancient glyphs that never stay the same. The rings were rotating independently, even though it's a still image. The sigil pulses faintly, as if alive, and sometimes appears to be dripping ink or dissolving into shadows. The sigil pulsed with an ominous, foreboding glow, as if alive.

Vidyakant's jaw clenched as unease coiled in his chest .

The sigil's constant shifting was unnerving, as if watching him. It was burning in the sky.

"This sigil always appeared in my dreams. Occasionally , a fourth, incomplete ring appears, but it is fractured—suggesting something is missing but this time the fourth ring is complete."

His lips parted in shock as he was horrified to see the fourth ring, now complete.

His heart was pounding like a war drum.

The sigil disappeared.

He was breathless as the sigil vanished without warning his face paled as he struggled to process what he had just witnessed.

Vidyakant now saw a man riding a horse. He was wearing a outfit of an assassin. The horse was black in colour who's eyes were completely red. The horse had an eerie presence, it's crimson eyes glowing in the darkness.

Vidyakant's eyes narrowed as he watched the cloaked man on horseback, an eerie presence surrounding both rider and beast.

The man disappeared leaving behind only a flicker of fear in Vidyakant's expression.

Everything about the experience felt surreal, like a dream he couldn't escape.

He felt dizzy, as if the world around him was spinning. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to regain control of his thoughts. He began to hear the sound of a machine. He felt like light was hitting on his eyes so he slowly opened his eyes his face contorted in discomfort vision blurred at first. When his eyes sight got clear he saw that he was in his university dorms room.

His brows knitted together.

"Was it just a dream?"
