"How is that possible? You are a princess. How didn't you attended any party before?"
Ira fell silent, looking down at her hand not knowing what and how to answer.
Seeing her silent, Raksheet felt that there is some problem and he shouldn't ask about it now.
"Fine. Leave it. It doesn't matter now. Just don't be nervous." He held her hand, making her look at him.
"I will be with you. I will introduce you to everyone. You just have to greete them politely and keep on smiling. People just want a reason to hate others. They will judge you even if you don't smile. Don't think too much and remember that I am always with you."
He cupped her face with his hands "You are their future queen. You should be confident. The party is for you. You are the centre of attention so don't let people make you feel low. Be confident and let the people of Jwalana see who is their future queen."
She smiled weakly, hearing his gentle supportive words and nod. "Ok."
"Your highness, the party is about to start. Are you ready?" A maid knocked on the door.
"Come soon. I am leaving now." He was about to leave when Ira held his hand and stopped him.
"What if.....they ask about me not showing up infront of anyone before?"
He smiled softly at her and reassured her "I will take care of it. Don't worry."
The maid again knocked.
"I should go." Ira let go of his hand and he walked towards the door.
He opened the door.
The maid immediately stepped back and joined her hands as she apologized "Sorry your highness, for distributing you. I didn't know you are inside too."
"It's ok." He replied and walked away.
All the kumar family members were in party hall except the new member, Ira, Welcoming the guest. It's just a welcome party for Ira so they invited only close ones and some nobels of their kingdom.
Everyone was enjoying the music and dance. The atmosphere was delightful. The hall was decorated with pink and white flowers and curtains. There were flowers on every table. The light was bright. The big chandelier hanging in the centre of the hall, making the hall look even more beautiful.
"Congratulations your majesty, for your grandson's marriage."
"Thank you so much Mr. Akshar. Enjoy the party." Abhiveera said as he went towards other guests.
"I heard your daughter-in-law is so beautiful. I am eagerly waiting to see her." A woman said to Avanya.
"Yes, She is. She is getting ready. She will come soon." Avanya replied with a bright smile. Who would not like to hear such a praise of their daughter-in-law?
When everyone was busy chatting with each other, Ira came outside, standing at the top of the stairs, shinning like moonlight.
Raksheet's eyes were eagerly searching for her and when he saw her, a bright smile formed on his lips.
Seeing him wall towards the stairs, all the eyes turned towards Ira.
Her heart was hammering inside her chest. She was so nervous but excited too. She wanted to meet new people and show them who she is. The soon to be queen of their kingdom. But she was nervous too because she don't know how people will react. Will they accept her? Is she qualified to be their queen? How she will talk to people?
She slowly looked up, just to see so many people looking at her, making her even more anxious. Her hands started sweating in nervousness. She was looking in the hall carefully, searching for Raksheet. The lights were dim so she can't see everything clearly. Where is he? She need him right now.
When Ira was searching for her husband, she saw someone coming towards stairs. Because of the dim light, she didn't recognise the person untill he came under the light. As soon she realised who is the person infront of her, she sighed in relief. A smile appeared on her face.
It's her husband, coming towards her with a slight smile. He extended his hand towards Ira. As she held his hand, her heart suddenly became calm. She stepped towards him and wrapped her hand arround his arm. She felt safe, as if no one can say anything to her when her husband is next to her.
Raksheet was surprised by Ira's action but at the next moment, he smiled brightly at her.
The couple started stepping down the stairs slowly.
Everyone was clapping as the couple was getting down the stairs. They were whispering about Ira. Her look's are enough to impress everyone.
"She is so beautiful." A woman whispered to other one next to her.
"Yes. She is. Queen Avanya is so lucky to have such a beautiful daughter-in-law."
"Are you nervous?" Raksheet whispered to Ira.
"A little." Ira replied.
"Don't worry. I am with you. Just stay with me and tell me if you are uncomfortable." Raksheet reassured as they stepped down the last stair.
"Hmm." Ira replied as hmm because she have to keep on smiling to look polite infront of people arround her. A smile, that's the only sign of politeness of a princess, doesn't matter if she want to or not.
"Ledies and gentlemen, let me introduce you the new member of kumar family." Raksheet said "Princess Ira. Ira Dhishva Chakravarty. She is from Aaro kingdom, ruled by king Viraaj chakravarty and king Dhishva chakravarthy, princess Ira's grandfather and father. She is the youngest daughter of king Dhishva and queen Daksha. The youngest princess of Aaro kingdom. But now, she is my wife." Raksheet's voice soften as he said the last sentence. "The princess of Jwalana Kingdom. Ira Raksheet Kumar." Raksheet announced.
When Raksheet said Ira's full name, Ira's heart fluttered. After her marriage, she didn't realised, not only her family, her kingdom, her house, but also her name has changed. She is no longer Ira Dhishva Chakravarthy. Now she is Ira Raksheet Kumar. She got a new identity. But will this identity last forever?
Everyone clapped as Raksheet introduced Ira.
Coming out of her thoughts, Ira looked at the guest. She smiled and joined her hands.
"Greetings everyone. Nice to meet you all." She said, forgetting her nervousness for a moment.
"Nice to meet you too, your highness. We wish you two a happy married life." The general secretary, Rutajit said.
Raksheet and Ira nod with a smile. "Thank you so much."
"Your highness, can we know why we never heard about princess Ira? I am a businessman and I have good connection in Aaro. Even the people of Aaro don't know much about princess Ira." One of the famous buisnessman of Jwalana Kingdom 'Dakshat khurana' asked.
All the members of kumar family looked at each other anxiously. How to answer this question? They can't tell everyone about Ira having health issues. If they found out about Ira's health, they won't accept her as their future queen. Or they might won't respect her either.
Ira tightened her grip on Raksheet's arm, feeling anxious. Raksheet looked at her, she was looking worried.
He held her hand that was wrapped around his arm, to assure her that he will handle it. He will not let her go through any kind of humiliation.
He turned his gaze towards the guests "Princess Ira is a kind of shy person. She don't like to show up infront of people much. She prefer to spend her time studying or doing the things she like. She spent her most of the time studying. That's the reason no one saw her or met her before." He simply said with a smile.
Ira looked at him in wonder that how easily he handled the situation. But studies? She didn't studied much. She know how to read and write but she don't have much knowledge.
"Really? Can we know how much our princess has studied?" Dakshat asked again, his tone was sarcastic that provoked Raksheet. But he didn't wanted to create a scene infront of everyone and did not want to prolong the matter so he just replied to Dakshat in the same tone as his.
"Why not? But I don't think you need to know that. She is my wife. She is a princess. She is not a queen yet, whom you can question. You can ask these questions when she gets crowned." Raksheet said confidentially.
Feeling embarrassed, Dakshat looked around and nod "Fine."
He patted Ira's hand and whispered in his sweet voice "Don't worry, everything is fine. No need to worry about anything as long as i am beside you."
Ira tightened her grip a little arround his arm, almost hugging his arm. She passed a smile to him.
Raksheet helped Ira get acquainted with the guests and nobles of Kingdom.
"Ira, meet Rutajit shrivastav, He is our general secretary, and she is Jyoti shrivastav, his wife."
"Nice to meet you, your highness." Rutajit and Jyoti said while joining their hands.
"Nice to meet you too." Ira replied.
Raksheet then turned towards the person next to Rutajit.
"And he is Dhritil Koushik, our royal advisor, and his wife, soumya Koushik."
"Nice to meet you, your highness." They said.
"Nice to meet you." Ira replied.
Raksheet introduced Ira to some other guests, the famous and reputed buisnessman of the kingdom, the officers and other nobles.
In this happy atmosphere, someone was watching Raksheet and Ira in disgust. Rage filled in his eyes, Greeting his teeth.
Everyone was busy in the party. Enjoying the food, talking with each other on random topic.
Ira and Raksheet were standing next to the window. Looking outside in the sky, at the moon. There was a peaceful smile on their face.
He looked at her, the moonlight was falling on her face, making her look like a part of it. Her eyes were glowing, her skin was looking so soft and smooth. Her hair waving in the air. Suddenly, he felt his hands itch to touch her hair.
Without any hesitation, he stepped towards her and tugged her hair behind her ear.
Ira looked at him because of the sudden touch. As their eyes met, Raksheet's heart skipped a beat. She is looking like a beauty which is out of this world in this moon light.
"What happened?" Ira asked, fixing her hair.
He shook his head "Nothing. I just wanted to touch your hair." He said without any hesitation.
Her cheeks started to burn because of his words.
'This man is so straight forward.' she thought, looking away to not show her red cheeks to him. As she know he won't leave any chance to tease her.
"You are looking beautiful." He again said.
