We finally arrived at our destination. And guess what? It was the fucking, huge ass castle. I mean I already thought we'd be brought there since the dark Knights where the ones escorting is but I was really hoping I didn't have to die by the hands of those obnoxious royals.
We were brought up to the castle main entrance before we got parked right behind the carriage we'd been following. Just like before we were only allowed to walk out one at a time. Luckily everyone here was trained well enough not to be stupid enough to run out or try anything against their orders considering we were literally in the liones den, so far up in it that we'd be lucky to ever even set foot out of line before our neck was snapped.
I was one of the last ones (by choice) to leave the big cage since I was busy surveying the area. The castle was a big place that resembled that of mideaval times. I had heard of it but never thought that a building could be so huge in real life, I did live in a little forest village after all. The buildings colors were a nice black and dark gray. To some it may have looked glumy but it truly looked good as new, prestein despite having been built hundreds of years ago. Though I imagine that the builders are more then likely still alive. These leeches are annoyingly resilient against death.
The little boy had already emerged by the time I had gotten out of the cage and was led towards the entrance like everyone else. I felt bad because when we (I believe) locked eyes, he flinched and looked away. I think he thought I was upset with him since I refused the carriage ride...I felt bad but knew it's for the better that I stay my distance until I know who he is and what's going on.
We are led inside with vampires surrounding our group loosely but with odd procision. The halls were extremely overly extra but oddly captivating. The inside was even more impressive then the outside. It had a beautiful crimson carpet along dark marble tiles, the walls a dark black and the ceiling adorned in shimmering chandeliers that shine a bright maroon. The hall led into a huge room that was even more magnificent with a pretty flower shaped fountain. The base was a dark stone and the water dropped from the weeping flowers middle petals.
A pretty rose that I must have stood and stared at for to long because next thing I know is the others were in another room and the kid was standing beside me, looking at it to. I glanced behind me and saw that one of the dark Knights, a brunette female with a darker crimson eye, was standing a bit away, glaring sharp daggers at me. A shudder runs through me as I swear she was currently drowning me in the fountain in her mind. I could almost see it happening in her pupils that were tight and thin with annoyance.
I decided to try and ignore it as I glance back down at the boy who now had his head tilted up at me. Why was everyone always looking at me today..?
Feeling uncomfortable I awkwardly shuffle to follow the others where they had disappeared down the hall. I heard the other two following closely behind. I still felt the uneasy feeling of being stabbed in the back.
The next room we enter was the throne room, big and had a long, red carpet that went between court like desks and chairs and led up to the short stairs and up where three thrones sat. Each throne had intricate designs that were oddly captivating. I realized I was getting fat too swept up in the interior design as I noticed I had fallen behind again despite everyone else already having made it to the opening between the desks and the thrones. I shuffle over where I'm forced to kneel before the thrones along with the other guards. Just as it got awkward, the king and Queen enter through a side door on the ledge and take their seats filling the two thrones, one in the middle and one on the left.
The queen had long, blonde hair and a dark crimson eyes color as usual for a vampire. The king however had the infamous magenta mixed with red eyes. It was the eyes that only appeared in royal blood. They both wore their proper red and black outfits but the queen looked noticeably younger then the king. He is several hundreds of years older after all. The current queen was only his third wife. The first had been killed in an attack hundreds of years ago and the last had tragically died giving birth to the Prince. I was told that the 2nd queen was the best out ancestors ever met. It wasn't too long ago but our last leader had passed on after meeting the queen by dying of old age, his tails hopeful of peace till his death of old age.
Speaking of the prince, I noticed he wasn't there but it wasn't unusual since the Prince rarely showed up for events, constantly known for his lack of socializing.
The king stared down at us before nodding. "Rise. I trust you have succeeded in your mission?" He spoke directly to the dark Knights leader. He bowed. "Yes, your majesty. We have captured and brought back both the guards of the dungeon and the one you said to." The king nods, glancing at the kid that at some point had knelt beside me with the other wolves. His gaze hardened and he rose. "Xia. Have you finally stopped acting foolish? You are to return to your chambers now. You aren't allowed out until I say so. You may order a feeder but that's it." I see the kid stiffen as he is addressed before sighing and standing. He walks out of the room followed by the brunette dark Knight when the king motions to her.
After the doors click shut I turned my attention back to the king. He had stood up at this point. "Leave the others in the dungeon for now, we will decide what to do with them later. Allow them one meal a day and no more than two in a cell." The knights bow before they start roughly tugging us us by the arm, not holding back with the supernatural strength they had. We are soon led through the castle and down stairs until they lead us down the hall, placing two off into empty cells at a time. A few cells already occupied with vampire outlaws or blood slaves who were kept in groups because they were weak anyway.
The strong scent of blood, rotting, and decay was overwhelming, many of us covering our nose or groaning in disgust. Eventually I was paired with a half wolf and thrown into a cell with him. He had brown hair and eyes too but he had his ears and tail out since he was only a half blood and didn't have control over it. He kept whining and blabbering on about all his fears and angers. I just sigh and layed in the stuff bed, facing the wall as I tried to ignore it. It could take weeks for us to even be assigned or sold, whatever the king and Queen decided. I wouldn't blame them for wanting us to suffer but I was pretty pissed id be spending probably the last bit of peace with a whining half breed who wouldn't shit up. This was going to be a long night.
