Chapter 2 - THE BOND OF A LIFETIME

From the moment he was born, Mirshad became the apple of his father's eye. Shaji had always dreamed of having a son, and Mirshad seemed like a perfect gift to him. The two of them shared a bond so deep that it was as though their hearts beat in unison. Wherever Shaji went, Mirshad was right behind him, never wanting to be away from his father's side.

Mirshad's attachment to his father was well known in the family. No matter who tried to take him in their arms, he would always wriggle away, searching for his father. His small hands would reach out, and only when he was back in Shaji's embrace would his face light up with a smile. It was as if the world outside their connection simply didn't exist.

When Mirshad turned four, his family decided it was time for him to take his first steps toward education. Though Mirshad didn't want to go to nursery, he trusted his father's judgment. His reluctance came from a desire to skip the basics and head straight to school. But Shaji explained, with his usual gentle tone, that starting with nursery would help Mirshad ease into the world of learning.

On his first day, despite his initial hesitation, Mirshad entered the nursery with curiosity. He looked back at his father one last time, wanting him to stay, but he knew this was something he had to do alone. Over time, the new environment no longer felt intimidating. Mirshad began to enjoy his days there, especially because of the two new friends he made—Arun and his sister Sitara.

Arun was full of energy and always ready for adventure, while Sitara was thoughtful and kind, always looking out for the others. Together, the three of them formed an unbreakable bond. They spent hours playing together, creating their own little world where every day was an adventure. The joy of their friendship was so great that Mirshad began to look forward to nursery each morning. Sundays, when the nursery was closed, felt like the longest day of the week.

Despite his growing independence, Mirshad's love for his father never waned. Each evening, when Shaji came to pick him up, Mirshad would run into his arms, eager to share stories of his day. Shaji would listen patiently, his eyes filled with pride, knowing that his son was growing, learning, and thriving.

And so, as the days and months passed, Mirshad's life was full of simple joys—love, friendship, and the ever-present shadow of his father, guiding him through these first steps of his journey.
