Chapter 16 - 15: Little Orion appears! A fight to the death with a sea monster

December 9, 1495, Age of the Sea Circle

Orion observed his position on the map. He had been rowing nonstop for several hours, and was now more than 100 kilometers from the marine ship's original position.

After so much time had passed, Galette's disappearance would have been discovered, and an intense search would have begun. That was why he had to hurry and deliver the "package" as soon as possible, since the more time passed, the more likely something would go wrong.

On the way, Orion had found an island, but had decided not to land there because it was inhabited, and he feared his position might be revealed. While he didn't believe the marines had such an advanced information network that it would immediately discover him as soon as he docked in a port, he wasn't willing to take the risk.

For that reason, he continued sailing in the calm South Blue Sea, hoping to find another deserted island.

He stopped rowing for a moment and rubbed his forehead to ease some of his tiredness.

He had been on high alert for several hours, and hadn't rested at all. Now, his adult mind's time limit was approaching.

While he feared leaving his little self in charge at this crucial moment, he knew he couldn't remain in control any longer, otherwise he would reach his limit and fall into a coma, leaving his child self completely defenseless.

It was best to start rationing his time and rest now that they weren't in a dangerous situation.

With this in mind, he looked at the little girl sitting in front of him. Galette, like him, had been on high alert the whole time, and hadn't let her guard down for a second.

After all, Orion was a strange man, and she wouldn't trust him just because he'd taken her off the marine ship. Who knows if he wasn't a slave owner who wanted to sell her as merchandise to some noble? She had heard of similar situations, and that's why she didn't have the innocence a six-year-old girl should have.

The little girl looked at him suspiciously, hugging her small body with her own arms, despite the Kairoseki handcuffs that limited her movements to some extent.

During the hours they had been traveling, Orion hadn't attempted to converse with her. He had been too preoccupied with escaping and hadn't paid much attention to the little girl. Now, seeing her in such a vulnerable position and with her alert gaze, his heart couldn't help but soften a little.

He sighed softly and said:

"There's no need to be so alert; I have no intention of hurting you."

Orion tried to sound as friendly as possible, but the girl didn't acknowledge his efforts. Instead of relaxing her guard, she tensed even more and continued to stare at him. She looked as if she were ready to jump into the sea if he tried to get close.

Of course, Galette would never do that. As a Devil Fruit user unable to swim, the prospect of such a foolish death was unthinkable, but her involuntary reactions clearly described her thoughts.

"Honestly, you have nothing to worry about. I only helped you escape because I felt sorry for you. I was infiltrating the Marine ship to steal something. Helping you was simply a last-minute whim. So don't be so stressed. It's not like you're part of my plans or anything. As soon as I find a deserted island, you can contact your people to come and get you."

Hearing the words "I felt sorry for you" coming from the mouth of the strange person in front of her, Galette's pride, as she belonged to one of the most renowned pirate families, suddenly exploded, causing her concern about the Orion's presence to diminish a little and be replaced by a great indignation.

She stood up and pointed at him with her index finger, saying in a haughty tone:

"Pity?! I don't need any insect to feel sorry for me! I'm Charlotte Galette! My mother is Big Mom, one of the most powerful pirates!"

Galette tried to look imposing, but her body, weakened by Kairoseki's handcuffs, couldn't stay upright on the rocking boat, and she suddenly fell to her feet.

Orion watched with some amusement as the little girl rubbed her ass to relieve the pain from the sudden blow. The contrast between her arrogant attitude a moment ago and the aggrieved expression she displayed now was indeed quite amusing to him, and made him think the little girl wasn't that difficult to deal with.

Just as Galette had been on guard the entire time, Orion had also been treating the little girl with prejudice. In his mind, Named Characters were people best left alone if one couldn't be sure of their personalities. For example, a swordsmanship genius like Gion would be incredibly difficult to deal with if she had a horrible personality. The reason he had come into contact with Named Characters like Giolla, or now Galette, was simply for the system's mission. Otherwise, he probably would have kept a safe distance.

When Orion saw that Galette had a favorability of -50, he had subconsciously labeled her as "dangerous," and she might even be considered an enemy. It was for that reason that he didn't want to have any interaction with her that wasn't absolutely necessary, and that he hadn't put much effort into establishing a bond with her.

But now, his mind had cleared up a bit, and so had his defenses. Charlotte Galette, after all, was only a 6-year-old girl.

No matter how dangerous she was in the future, or how low her favorability was, right now she posed no danger to him.

She was a little girl who had been kidnapped by the marines, and she was probably terrified, even though she had maintained a strong expression the entire time.

How strong could a little girl be?

If he hadn't been influenced by his prejudices, he would have immediately realized that the little girl was suffering, and even now, her body trembled slightly even though it wasn't cold.

Galette, on the other hand, was indeed going through a rough time. She was used to viewing the world from above. Given her mother's power, she hadn't experienced similar situations before. She was the one always on the attack, and it was the first time she had found herself in such a passive situation.

First, she had been captured by the marine, which was tremendously bad. Then, she had managed to escape thanks to a strange man who rescued her, but she didn't feel relief but an even deeper terror.

The marine still held to certain principles, and perhaps she would have a chance to return to her family, but the man in front of her was a mystery. For starters, he was clearly a grown man, as his behavior, mannerisms, and way of speaking demonstrated, yet he insisted on maintaining the appearance of a child!

Galette could only believe that the man in front of her was some kind of depraved individual, and that he was trying to get her to let her guard down.

That was why, during the journey with the man disguised as a child, she had been extremely alert. Now, the man had actively tried to talk to her for the first time and appear friendly, which had worried her even more. To the point where she was trembling slightly involuntarily. Who knew what a maniac who wasn't in his right mind and was going around the world pretending to be a child could do?

Orion saw the resistance and fear in the little girl's eyes and decided it was best to let his childish self take control of his body for now. His adult mind needed to rest, and they weren't in immediate danger. Furthermore, Galette was being suppressed by Kairoseki's handcuffs, so his child self would likely have no trouble dealing with her. Even if a conflict arose, the boy could defeat her in combat. After all, his child self possessed all the same abilities as him. At most, it was how he used them that changed.

Orion left a message for his child self instructing him to try to be kind to Galette, and relinquished control of his body.

...............…

Orion's eyes suddenly changed. The depth that had existed in them just a moment ago was now completely gone, replaced by the pristine gaze of his child self.

Little Orion analyzed his surroundings as his mind reviewed the memories of the previous few hours.

It was a sensation he had grown accustomed to over time. As a young child, he discovered that he would often "act strangely" for a few moments each day. It was a very strange feeling, as if he were witnessing his own actions but not being the main character. It wasn't as if he wasn't the one doing it, but there was a sense of unreality to his actions during certain times of the day.

Little Orion had never drunk, and didn't know what it was like to get drunk; otherwise, he might have compared that mysterious state to the intoxication of a drunken person, who acts without fully realizing it, and the next day remembers what he did the night before with a certain distance and skepticism.

Little Orion learned over time that this feeling was due to him losing his memories. For a small part of the day, his memories were complete, and then he was much more mature and impressive, and the rest of the day he lived without being able to remember many important things.

However, he didn't worry about his situation because his other self had left him an explanation in their shared memories. Over time, his mind had become very flexible, and it was almost effortless for him to accept strange and bizarre new situations.

Therefore, now that he found himself on a small boat with Galette, he wasn't confused in the least.

It was normal; he had started an adventure when he had all his memories, and now that he didn't had them... the adventure continued!

Overthinking and worrying about it wasn't his style!

Despite having memories of the previous hours, his childish mind couldn't clearly analyze the events, and he only had a superficial understanding of the matter. Currently, he had only two major goals in mind: find an island and be good to Galette.

With this last point in mind, he tried to start a conversation.

"Hello, your name is Galette, isn't it? My name is Orion, nice to meet you!"

Seeing the strange man disguised as a child who had now also started talking like a child, Galette felt goosebumps rise and moved as far away from him as possible. If it weren't for the fact that she was a Devil Fruit user, she probably would have jumped into the sea.

Little Orion continued the conversation despite having received no response from Galette.

"I'm 5 years old, I'll be 6 in a month and a half. How old are you?"

Unlike his adult mind, little Orion wasn't calculating and didn't know how to measure his words. He simply trudged forward in his attempt to establish a friendly relationship.

"Please stop talking like that! We've been traveling together for hours, and I know you're an adult. Don't try to pretend you're a child now, because you won't fool me!"

Orion listened to the girl's words, and a look of understanding appeared on his face. Clapping his closed fist into the palm of his hand, he nodded in a posture he thought looked cool even though it wasn't, and said without thinking too much.

"No, no, no. I'm a kid! I understand your confusion, though. It's hard to explain, but you could say I have two personalities. My adult self has gone to sleep now, so I'm now in control of the body."

"Two personalities? Is it a Devil Fruit?" Galette asked in confusion, still not believing the child's words.

"Devil Fruit? Hmm, I think it's probably because of the powers of the system. Even though I have Devil Fruit powers, I can change my body size!"

"System? What is that?" Galette said, even more confused.

Orion's big smile froze on his face, and he began to sweat profusely.

"Oh no! I accidentally told her about the system!" Orion said to himself.

His other self had told him numerous times that the system's existence was a secret he couldn't tell anyone, not even his parents. He knew there were certain things that couldn't be shared, and he'd never spoken about the system's existence. However, now that he was trying to get the girl to lower her guard so he could befriend her, he'd said what was on his mind without thinking too much, and had exposed the system's existence. He'd had a brain fart! Duck!

When his other self found out, he was sure to blame him and start treating him like a child again!

It had taken him years to gain his other self's trust and make him stop treating him like a little boy who couldn't do anything and was of no help. Now, his other self let him actively participate in his adventures and wasn't just a passive observer; he didn't want a small mistake to damage the trust between them.

He tried to save the situation

"No, eh—that's what I call my powers. It's like a Devil Fruit but different, don't worry too much about it!"

Galette looked at him suspiciously; the man's attitude was truly strange. Now, it really seemed like he was just a little boy talking to her. Once that thought entered her mind, her suspicions began to grow.

"Are you really a child? How can I know you're telling the truth?"

"Really! I'm not lying. If I lie, I'll be struck by lightning!" Orion said, raising his hand and swearing.

"Well, I guess it could be true… Ah! What's that?!" Galette said, pointing behind him with great surprise on her face.

"Huh? Where?"

Orion turned to look in the direction the girl was pointing and saw only the calm morning sea in this corner of the South Blue.

Galette took advantage of the fact that he had turned around and kicked him hard in the back, knocking him into the water.

"Ha! It's incredible that you fell into such a basic trap. Maybe you are a child after all, haha."

Orion fell into the water and involuntarily swallowed seawater in surprise.

"If you beg me, maybe I'll help you get back up!"

She had seen Orion's powers, which allowed him to change his body size, and was convinced that such a power could only be the product of a Devil Fruit. Therefore, when he fell into the sea, his fate was sealed if she didn't help him get back on the boat.

However, contrary to her expectations, Orion didn't sink into the sea, but immediately surfaced and, with a deft movement, climbed back onto the boat.

Completely soaked from head to toe, Orion looked resentfully at the little girl in front of him with a shocked expression.

"Hey, that wasn't right, Galette. What would have happened if I didn't know how to swim? You can't do things like that in the future!"

Orion, as a child, was innocent, but not stupid. He immediately realized Galette's intentions when she suddenly threw him off the boat, but he wasn't going to get angry with her for it. His mission was to try to establish a friendly relationship with her, just as his other self had asked, and he wanted to show that he could also help in the adventures they experienced daily. His other self couldn't gain Galette's trust, so he would do it and be of help!

"You—can you swim? Didn't you eat a Devil Fruit?"

"It's complicated to explain. In short, I have Devil Fruit powers, but I can still swim without any problem," Orion said casually, while wringing out his clothes to remove some of the excess water in them

Galette's eyes widened at his words. He had powers and could swim? So… wasn't that really a good thing?! The only downside to eating a Devil Fruit was gone.

She opened her mouth to rebuke him for bragging so openly about his situation, but before she could say anything, her words caught in her throat. She fixed her gaze on a point behind Orion and said hurriedly, pointing with her hand behind him.

"H-Hey, what is that?! A sea beast!"

"Ha! Don't think you can fool me with that trick again!" Orion said, ignoring the terrified expression that had appeared on the girl's face.

"No, stupid, I'm serious! There's a-"

Boom!

A great impact interrupted Galette's words, and both children were sent flying through the air after being rammed by a large sea beast that appeared out of nowhere.

Flying through the air, among the pieces of wood that had been torn off the small boat, which was now completely destroyed, Orion could see the appearance of the great beast.

It was a type of massive sea serpent, with at least half of its body submerged in the water. Its powerful teeth were poised to pulverize the bodies of its two prey as soon as they fell into the water.

If Orion had read the One Piece manga, he would have immediately realized that this serpent was a tiny version of the beast that had attacked Luffy when he was a child.

Little Orion knew he had been caught in a dangerous situation, and without hesitation, he actively switched places with his adult mind. Although he wanted to help during the adventure, he knew when to step back. He could fight on his own if necessary, but his adult self could probably do better than him. There was no point in being stubborn and risking an injury.

The sea serpent attacked the children, who were descending into the sea, but before its attack could succeed, Orion's body began to grow into that of an adult. Then, before the beast could react, he drew his sword and used one of his attacks.

"Thirty-six styles, Dragon Falling Sword!"

The sword pierced the beast's eye, causing a large spray of blood to explode across the sky. Thanks to this, the beast's attack was successfully stopped by Orion.

Galette fell helplessly into the sea and began to drown due to her inability to swim. Orion flipped in the air to stabilize himself and fell onto the wounded beast's body, which was confused by the sudden, blinding attack.

Taking advantage of the beast's confusion, Orion concentrated all his power to use his strongest attack. His muscles bulged, pushing his strength, which was three times that of a normal human, to the limit. Then, without wasting a second, he attacked the beast's neck.

"Thirty-six styles, Moon Falling Sword!"

The sword moved at great speed, producing an afterimage, threatening to pierce the beast's neck. However, at the last instant, the sea serpent moved out of the way of the sword, only being grazed lightly by it. The sword penetrated superficially into the sea serpent's flesh, piercing its scales and producing a small wound that further enraged the already angry beast.

Orion, who had launched a powerful attack, was left completely exposed and vulnerable as he fell toward the sea.

The beast saw his vulnerability and lunged at him with its sharp teeth, intending to directly destroy the man's head and finish him off immediately.

However, Orion quickly changed size and managed to dodge the beast's attack at the last second.

Finally, he fell into the water, submerging himself up to his head. The beast saw the man, who had now reverted to an adult form, floating in the sea, and roared with angry force.

Orion felt the discomfort of having to fight in the water. Facing a sea beast in these conditions was truly difficult. Without a second thought, he increased his swimming skill to level 4, spending 300 system points in the process and reducing his pool of points to 758.

A warm current invaded his body, while a vast amount of muscle memory invaded his brain and molded his muscles. Right now, he was probably at the level of an Olympic athlete in his previous life; one step further, and he would reach superhuman territory, at least in terms of his previous world, as the fantasy world of One Piece had much higher standards of power.

The snake attacked the man floating nearby, but its attack was skillfully dodged.

Orion seized the opportunity and plunged his sword into the snake's body, causing it to let out a great scream of pain.

Using the sword as leverage, Orion managed to position himself on the sea beast's back; once again, the opportunity to finish it off had presented itself.

He prepared to use his strongest attack again, but the serpent realized the danger and dived into the water at high speed. Orion could only halt his attack and hold his breath as he was dragged underwater.

Fearing that the sea serpent would try to pull him into the depths of the sea to drown him or restrict his movements, Orion quickly pulled the sword from the beast's flesh, separating himself from it and floating in place near the surface.

He swam vehemently toward the surface, but before he could reach it, he was attacked by the sea serpent, which was moving at great speed underwater.

Orion tried to defend himself with his sword, but the resistance of the water rendered his efforts completely useless.

He felt a great pain in his shoulder. The snake had bitten hard, creating a large wound, and now blood was gushing out rapidly, painting the water around him.

"Damn, this isn't good!" Orion thought, trying to endure the pain in his shoulder.

In addition to the stabbing pain from the snake's sharp teeth, which threatened to crush his bones under the enormous pressure, Orion could also feel a painful burning sensation, spreading from his shoulder to the rest of his body.

A system alert sounded in his mind.

*Ding*

*Passive skill "Poison Resistance (Level 0)" has been activated. Caution is advised. If poison levels continue to rise, the Host may suffer irreparable damage.*

The problems kept piling up!

Slightly desperate, Orion released his sword, which began to float in front of him, and tried to pry open the beast's jaws with all his strength. However, he only managed to open its jaws a little; his strength wasn't enough.

Knowing this wasn't the time to hesitate, he used 500 system points to increase his "Strong Body" skill level to level 3, reducing his remaining points to 248.

Every minute he spent in his adult form consumed 10 system points (SP), so he had to try to end the fight as quickly as possible!

Orion felt his body explode with unprecedented force; he now had four times the power of a normal human in this world!

With this increase in strength, he finally managed to open the beast's jaws and free himself.

A horrible wound remained on his shoulder, which continued to bleed steadily.

Orion grabbed the sword floating in front of him and swam at full speed to the surface, while the snake pursued him at high speed, tireless.

He didn't slow down when he reached the surface, and his body shot out of the water like a dolphin. The great serpent also emerged from the water behind him, ready to end the man's life once and for all.

However, Orion wouldn't waste this opportunity, for if he did, his adventure might end right now, in a forgotten corner of the South Blue, without having accomplished anything. He couldn't afford to fail now!

Once again, he positioned his body in the optimal position for his attack and executed his most powerful technique.

"Thirty-six styles, Moonfall Sword!"

The attack, now much more powerful due to the sudden increase in his physical abilities, took the beast by surprise and pierced its neck without encountering much resistance. Immediately, the great serpent's head was severed from the rest of its body, putting an end to the difficult confrontation.

A bell rang in his mind, and a notification appeared on the system screen.

*Ding*

*Eliminated dangerous element for the safety of people on nearby islands. 500 system points obtained*

Orion was greatly surprised to see that he had obtained points for killing the sea beast. He hadn't known he could get points this way, and so many points! Couldn't he get a huge amount of points if he went out to sea to hunt every sea beast he encountered?

He was tempted by this idea, but it remained to be seen whether it was feasible. If the number of these types of beasts wasn't very large, or if their strength were a little more powerful, it probably wouldn't be possible to farm points this way.

For now, he put that thought in the back of his mind. He would consider it later when he had more information.

Orion fell into the water again and quickly located little Galette, who was sinking like a rock in the sea, completely hopeless.

He swam at great speed and took her in his arms, then surfaced, completing his rescue.

The little girl hugged his neck and spat out some of the water she had swallowed. Then she began to breathe air greedily, taking large gulps.

After a few moments, her breathing returned to normal and her teary eyes regained focus.

Seeing the man holding her on his shoulders to keep her from sinking into the water, Galette couldn't help but feel gratitude in her heart. After all, without Orion's help, her only fate in that situation would have been a horrible death.

She had been struggling to avoid drowning, so she hadn't seen the details of Orion's confrontation with the beast, but observing the terrible condition of the strange man, she could deduce that both of them had been on the verge of death this time.

"Th-thank you," the girl said almost in a whisper.

Orion simply smiled and said nothing. Looking at the favorability screen on the system, he noticed that Galette's favorability had risen from -50 to -20.

This score was similar to Giolla's before their first interaction. Clearly, the girl still didn't trust him, but at least she didn't consider him an enemy. She probably had a negative opinion of him because she didn't yet know what his intentions were, but this could be fixed when he helped her return to her family; there was no rush.

Orion looked at the ship, which had been completely destroyed, and felt the wound on his shoulder begin to hurt even more!

Luckily, when the beast had thrown him through the air, he had managed to spot a small island on the horizon.

This island wasn't far away, probably less than 10 kilometers away, so he could swim there, even if it took a great effort.

The problem was that he would have to maintain his adult form to swim at full speed, otherwise, in his child form, he probably wouldn't make it to the island before passing out from his injuries.

He felt extremely tired due to several factors: the battle with the snake, the poison in his body, and the mental strain of keeping his adult mind active when he was close to the time limit.

However, he couldn't afford to rest. He had to get to the nearby island as quickly as possible; only then would he feel safe.

He looked at the SP he had available: 738.

It would probably be enough to reach the island in his adult form. He estimated it would take him no more than an hour to get there, swimming at full speed.

Without wasting any more time, he picked up little Galette, who was obediently sitting on his shoulders, and placed her on a wooden board that had previously been part of his small boat and was now floating in the sea beside him.

Then, he identified the direction he had seen the island and began swimming at high speed while pushing the board with little Galette on it.

Fortunately for him, he didn't encounter any other unexpected situations on the way to the island.

He successfully reached the shore of the small island, taking 68 minutes and consuming almost all of his reserve points. He only had a measly 58 points at his disposal, greatly limiting the actions he could take in the future. His only hope was that he could soon finish the mission to rescue Galette, and then he would likely get a good amount of SP as a reward!

The reason it had taken longer than expected wasn't because he had miscalculated the distance to the island. On the contrary, looking at the map of the system, the distance was even shorter than he had anticipated. The reason it had taken so long was entirely due to the wound on his neck.

He hadn't applied any bandages to it, so as not to waste time. So on the way, the stabbing pain was almost unbearable. His muscles screamed in pain and begged him to stop with every meter he advanced, but Orion ignored the signals his body was giving him; he couldn't afford that luxury. He simply gritted his teeth and swam with all his might, suffering the torment of extremely powerful pain.

Now that he had finally reached the island, his entire being had entered a state of relief, and his legs had gone limp, causing him to fall to his knees on the warm sand of the beach. His transformation was undone, and his body returned to its natural state. He was a six-year-old boy again

Galette, who was a few meters away, watched his every movement closely. She was a very perceptive child, and she had noticed the great effort Orion had made to get her safely to the island.

She knew it would have been much simpler for him to leave her abandoned at sea and escape on his own. She was an unnecessary burden to the man, so her mind was now completely flooded with questions.

Was this strange man really simply benevolent and wanted to help her? Or did he consider her a prized commodity he didn't want to abandon before he could get a reward for her?

The little girl didn't know what to think, and she didn't dare make a judgment on the matter.

Though unwittingly, she was leaning toward believing Orion. After all, someone who could swim for an hour in incredible pain and still refuse to abandon her couldn't simply be a vile bandit, could he? These were the kinds of thoughts that appeared in Galette's head, and if Orion hadn't been completely mentally exhausted, he would have noticed that the girl's favorability had risen to 10.

Orion endured the ravages of sleep and pulled a small den den mushi from his clothes. He had stolen this small animal from the Marines' ship, with the sole purpose of using it to contact Galette's family.

Obviously, he didn't know the frequency of the Charlotte sisters' den den mushi, so he could only ask Galette about it.

"Galette, tell me... What is the frequency of your family's den den mushi? I'll tell them to come find you."

Orion spoke slowly and with effort. The poison was taking a toll on his body, and if it weren't for his passive ability that granted him resistance to poisons, he would have died long ago.

Galette heard Orion's words and saw his pitiful figure, and it was as if a bomb had fallen inside her mind. For a moment, her mind went blank, and then she finally accepted the reality before her: the strange man who had suddenly appeared had saved her from the marines, from the sea beast, and had brought her safely to this island. He truly wanted to help her.

She felt a heat in her eyes, and her vision blurred. She sniffed and managed to hold back the tears that threatened to escape without her permission. She was a strong pirate, Big Mom's daughter! She would never allow herself to cry in front of a stranger. It was a matter of dignity.

Galette stared at the man who was staring at her silently, waiting for her response, and told him the frequency of her sister Compote's Den Den Mushi.

Orion didn't notice the change in the girl, nor the fact that her favorability had suddenly jumped to 44.

He simply nodded with some difficulty and tried to make the call.

The den den mushi had been submerged in water on the way to the island, and while it hadn't drowned to death, it was a little confused and wasn't working quite right.

The call connected anyway.

A powerful, commanding voice, laced with arrogance, sounded across the deserted beach.

"Hello? Who are you?"

Orion took a deep breath and answered as smoothly as his numb mind let him.

"It doesn't matter who I am. I rescued Galette from the Marines. I need you to come get her before the Marines find us."

Hearing a child's voice say such words, Compote thought it was a joke and immediately burst into angry curses.

Galette, who had at one point begun to cry silently, stepped forward and spoke into the den den mushi, interrupting her sister.

"Sister! It's me, Galette. It's true, we escaped from the marine, come find me!"

There was a brief silence on the other end, and immediately Compote's concerned voice, inquiring about her little sister's well-being, filled the quiet beach.

Orion was clinging to his last shred of consciousness, so he wouldn't waste any time continuing to talk to her. He simply looked up their current location on the system map and gave her the coordinates of the island they were on. Then, he gave the den den mushi to the little girl, and let them communicate freely with each other.

Galette took the den den mushi with trembling hands and moved a little away from Orion to chat with her sister. Her favorability had now reached 70 points.

Meanwhile, Orion couldn't hold it in any longer and began to descend into a deep sleep. Just before falling asleep, a notification appeared in the system:

*A Named Character(VIP) is located less than 500 kilometers away from your position*

However, he didn't notice the notification; his tired mind fell into a deep sleep.

After a great effort, he finally had the chance to enjoy a well-deserved rest.
