Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

An Unforgettable Meeting

---

In the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, a city that never sleeps, two vastly different worlds collided at an elite high school—one filled with luxury, the other with simplicity.

Kaito Fujimura, with his neatly styled jet-black hair and sharp eyes, walked with confident steps toward the school gates. He was the eldest son of the Fujimura family, a wealthy and well-known family in the city. But behind his composed demeanor and perfect appearance, Kaito had a world of his own, one that only a few people could truly understand—and one of them was his younger sister, Hina.

Hina, the beloved young lady, walked cheerfully beside him. With her flowing brown hair and the sweet smile that always graced her face, Hina was a figure that hardly anyone would guess belonged to an elite family. She appeared so innocent, with a more naive demeanor than her peers. Despite the extra attention she often received from others, Hina preferred to spend time with Kaito. For her, there was nothing more comforting than being by her brother's side, and that always made her feel safe.

"Good morning, Mr. Kaito, Hina!" a family servant greeted them respectfully. Kaito gave a brief nod, while Hina smiled widely, captivating the servants with her charm.

In class, the atmosphere was no different. Kaito sat in his place with a calm and authoritative air. Meanwhile, Hina sat next to him, a bit spoiled, as though she always wanted to be close to her brother. Although many considered Kaito to be cold and hard to approach, Hina knew that behind that attitude, Kaito was a caring older brother—even if he never expressed it.

"Would you like to have lunch with me today?" Hina asked, holding Kaito's arm, her eyes sparkling.

Kaito nodded slightly. "Of course, Hina."

At the back of the same classroom, there was a girl sitting in the last row—Misaki Aoyama. She was a transfer student who had joined only a few weeks earlier. Unlike Kaito, who seemed perfect in every way, Misaki was a simple girl from an ordinary family, far from luxury. However, there was something about her that always made her seem intriguing to anyone who looked at her—maybe it was the sincerity in her eyes or the way she never tried to be something she wasn't.

Misaki often observed Kaito from a distance. The girl was always in awe of his calm demeanor and the confidence he exuded, even though she knew that Kaito's world was very different from her own, which was much simpler.

One day, when a miscommunication occurred, their hearts would be tested. A mistakenly sent message, an unkept promise, and a decision that would change everything.

Little did they know, their paths would soon cross again, leading them to confront old wounds that had never been healed.

That day, as usual, the weather in Tokyo was clear, and the rare blue sky made the school atmosphere feel lighter. Misaki, with her black hair left flowing naturally, was sitting at her desk, staring out the window. Though her body was in class, her mind wandered far, imagining a different life—one she might have had if she hadn't been born into an ordinary family, if she didn't have to struggle for everything she had.

As the lesson was nearly over, Misaki's thoughts drifted back to Kaito Fujimura. Kaito, who always seemed perfect, who never showed signs of fatigue despite a life full of expectations and burdens. She often watched him from afar, admiring how he faced the world, though she knew very little about his personal life.

On the other side of the class, Hina, Kaito's little sister, was laughing cheerfully with her friends, though not far from her brother. Hina often attracted attention because of her innocent beauty and spoiled attitude that captivated many. But for Misaki, there was something intriguing about the closeness between Hina and Kaito. They seemed to have their own world, a bond that was very strong—something Misaki felt was very rare.

---

Lunchtime arrived, and as usual, Hina was waiting for Kaito outside the classroom. They always ate lunch together, talking about little things only the two of them understood. Hina often sought more attention from Kaito, like a child wanting her brother's full attention.

As they walked toward the dining hall, Hina held Kaito's hand tightly. "Kaito, don't ever go far from me, okay?" she said in a spoiled tone.

Kaito smiled faintly, even though he knew Hina would never truly be far from him. "I won't," Kaito replied, although deep inside, he felt there was something bothering him. Sometimes, he felt trapped by Hina's attention and expectations. However, he could never bring himself to say it.

In the middle of their walk, their steps were suddenly halted when a girl ran up to them, almost bumping into Kaito. The girl stepped back quickly, her face flushed with embarrassment. "S-Sorry!" Misaki said hastily, trying to avoid Kaito's gaze.

Kaito looked at her with sharp eyes, as if trying to recognize the girl who had almost collided with him. "You... Misaki Aoyama, right?" Kaito asked, recalling that she was the transfer student often seen in their class.

Misaki nodded awkwardly. "Yes... sorry, I didn't mean to."

Hina, who had witnessed the incident, couldn't suppress her smile. "Kaito, are you okay?" she asked cheerfully, although there was a slight discomfort in her heart seeing Kaito talk to Misaki.

"Don't worry, Hina," Kaito answered, turning his gaze away from Misaki and back to his sister with a faint smile.

But Misaki felt something strange within herself—a feeling that was hard to explain. An attraction she couldn't hold back when Kaito paid attention to her, even for a moment. "I'll just... go now," Misaki said hurriedly, trying to avoid Kaito's gaze.

Hina watched Misaki walk away. "Kaito... is she strange?" she asked, not taking her eyes off her.

Kaito shook his head, trying to distract Hina. "No, Hina. She's just a bit nervous," he answered briefly. Yet, for some reason, there was a feeling he couldn't avoid, something odd every time he interacted with Misaki.

---

A few days passed since that meeting, and the relationships between Kaito, Hina, and Misaki grew more complicated. Misaki, who kept crossing paths with Kaito at school, felt there was something she couldn't understand. There was a strong attraction, though she knew full well that their worlds were very different. Meanwhile, Hina continued to be the spoiled sister, always wanting to be close to Kaito, sometimes feeling a strange discomfort in her heart whenever Kaito's attention shifted slightly toward Misaki.

It all began with a message that was never sent.

That night, after finishing family matters, Kaito sat in his personal study, staring at his phone. He held it for a moment, feeling confused. By accident, he sent a message that was meant for Hina to Misaki.

"Misaki, I want to talk to you about what happened a few days ago. Maybe we could have lunch together tomorrow. I feel like there's something that needs to be explained."

The message was sent without him realizing it.

Meanwhile, Misaki, relaxing in her room, saw the notification from Kaito. Her heart raced. "What's this? A message from Kaito?" she thought, still in disbelief. Without thinking too much, she replied to the message, her curiosity growing stronger.

"Okay, I'll wait," Misaki replied, even though her heart began to feel different—an emotion she couldn't explain.

However, the misunderstanding was just beginning. The message Kaito had sent, meant for Hina, would become a turning point in their relationship. What would happen next, no one knew. But one thing was certain: their fates were now intertwined, and this misunderstanding would change everything.
