Jinn sat with his back against a decently sized rock, the cool surface pressing against him as he stared into the distance.
The surroundings were quiet now.
No shrieks, no howls, no snarls, and no danger.
Only the whistle of wind brushing against the giant trees around as their branches swayed and creaked.
He then lets out a sigh as he relaxes his body to gather his thoughts.
What if Biyo hadn't arrived, what if he didn't arrive in time?
What if Ophelia wasn't with them, who would heal Kain?
*shak!
Jinn unsheathed Fangeryth with a slow and deliberate motion—the blade gleamed a hue of crimson faintly in the light.
He observed it with silence, eyes tracking the crimson veins that travelled along its sleek blade, as if they pulsating with eidra.
He then closed his eyes and gently rested his forehead against the flat of the blade.
All of this… it wouldn't have happened if I used Zendrell's move earlier.
