Chapter 1 - THE DISCOVERY OF EATING

I stumbled to the ground. My time's almost up. I'd say about 3-5 days. My sister has 1. I am nearly 4 months old, which isn't exactly good. I don't know how the animals do it. They live years. I don't. Heh, death is kinda funny, it just jumps up on you. It's sad, too. But it's life. I don't know how Mom got me at 4 months. But that doesn't matter, nothing matters when you just die in the end. What is THAT?? It's red and shiny, and it's a ball. It has a stick coming out of it. No, don't let the intrusive thoughts win. DON'T LET THEM WIN. Okay, I give in. I want to sink my mouth bones into that. "Goodbye. I have one night." My sister says "Goodbye, Sis. See you in 3 days." It's not funny, but it isn't something we cry about. Like I said, it goes from life to death, and then, nothing matters anymore. If nothing matters then, then why should anything matter now? Anyway, I'm going to go get that red thing now. I climb the grainy wood. I have a splinter. It hurts, but I don't care. Now if I could just reach it and... "Hey!" I fall off the tree. She startled me. "What were you doing up there?" She asks. I reply, "Trying to get something. Intrusive thoughts." "Oh, okay. I was just curious." She says. I reach back up, get a handhold, and pull myself high enough to get another one. I climb to the top and yank the red ball. I bite it. It made my mouth feel weird (In a good way). I take another bite and let it slide down my throat. I realize it splashed me. I feel good. I get a few more and give 2 to my sister. "What is this?" She asks, holding it away so it doesn't leak on her feet. "It's a Magic Circle! It makes my mouth happy." I answer. "Umm.... " She replies. "Just stab it with your mouth bones," I say. She bites, and her eyes light up as the water drips down her chin. "This is awesome!" she exclaims. She yawns and suggests we go to sleep. I agree with a nod and pass out on the ground. I wake up expecting to be alone, but Sis is up, confused as to why she's alive. I say, "Maybe it's the circle. eat a few a day, maybe." "I'll try. but if I'm doing that, you have to as well." I agree. I mean, if I believed it (Which I do), then why wouldn't I agree. 4 weeks have passed since we started eating those circles. We found more. We found a red-orange mix circle, a green weird-shaped thing, and a yellow 3D-oval with spikes, and we named them all. The original red circle is an apple. The yellow spike thing is a pineapple. The red-yellow circle is an orange (and that is also the new name for the color), and the green one is a pear. I like the pink one we found. We like coming up with stories about people and creatures that don't exist, like palaces with guards and an attacking dragon. And I tell her, "Let's call this one dragon fruit." I take a bite out of it. Oh, yeah! We call all of the water-filled stuff fruit, and all of the water juice. Man, I wish we could have some more people here. I know how it happens, but, ew. She's my sister. I saw a dead cow, and I want to bite one now. I think I have a problem, but I'm going to do it. I see one burnt and it smells SO GOOD! Just gonna walk up and... CHOMP!! Wow! This is better than dragon fruit! I need to let intrusive thoughts win more often! I see one of those cat things. It glares at me. this is a spotted one. They're fast, I've seen it. He chases me. I run. Sis sees and throws something brown (not poop) at it and it falls. She hollers to me, "I call them coconuts! They're very good!" I jog over and sit down. Sis hands me a coconut. "Thanks." I say. "No problem." She answers. I can't eat it. "OW!" I say, trying to bite it. She stabs it with a rock and passes it back, drinking from her own. "Yum!" I say, chugging it. Sis looks up, "It's getting dark. I'll go to sleep." She goes to where she sleeps and closes her eyes, I join her soon after. Fast forward 37 and a half years, I run a small market selling my favorite thing- apples. My sister sells fish and fruit and meat. We made the world bigger (population-wise). I have a big house and one ginger cat. Oh, and crazy thing, people started having names. My name is Bill, and Sis' name is Isabel. We have 8 kids- 5 girls, and 3 boys. It's a lot, but now I know that things do matter. Life is life, and you only have one. Use it well, don't let silly things and other people change your life. I skydive, glide off buildings with a squirrel suit, and things like that. I do what I decided I wanted. And that concludes this book. P.S. That entire thing was NOT for the lesson at the end, that lesson kind of just popped up.
