Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Glitched Thrones

The world above the Architect's domain fractured like broken glass—each shard reflecting alternate timelines, failed rewrites, corrupted versions of the same world. And in the center of it all stood Clyde, no longer just a remnant, but a walking revolution.

Data storms clashed above them, swirling around the battlefield as the Architect summoned every remaining piece of corrupted code. His throne—once pristine and untouched—now glitched violently, sparks flying from its core.

"You've awakened something that should've stayed buried," he snarled.

"I didn't awaken it," Clyde said, his voice steady, glowing veins pulsing down his arms. "You buried it alive."

Beside him, Nova's eyes sparkled with pride. Rhea, silent but fierce, watched Clyde's transformation with a warrior's respect.

The Architect stepped down from his throne. "Then let's finish this before you become something even worse."

Lightning tore through the air as the Architect launched first, ripping reality apart with raw system code. Clyde ducked, leapt, and met him mid-air. Their clash sent shockwaves through every mirror world.

Nova extended her hands—stabilizing the collapsing environment. "I can't hold this for long!" she yelled.

Clyde turned mid-fight. "Then buy me seconds."

He focused. Deep within his core, beneath the rewritten data, he found it—the legacy seed. The first code. The one thing the Architect never fully deleted.

The Rewrite Protocol.

The Architect's eyes widened. "You wouldn't dare."

"I would," Clyde smirked. "And this time, I decide what stays."

With a roar, Clyde slammed both hands onto the ground.

The world responded.

The broken sky twisted into spirals of living data. Echoes of every version of Clyde—failed or otherwise—appeared like ghostly reflections behind him. But instead of pain, they smiled.

They'd found purpose in him.

In the one rewrite that survived.
