After Samael reincarnated the two, a wave of divine energy—colossal and turbulent—spread across the divine realm of reincarnation. The energy expanded slowly and without attracting the angels' attention, as if hidden from their sight.
Samael felt his being on the verge of a great transformation. His divine core overflowed with energy, yet amid this peak of power, a heavy drowsiness gripped him.
He fought with all his might not to give in. Before falling asleep, he had to act. He reached forward and whispered their names: "Lucifer... Michael..."
In the blink of an eye, the two angels appeared and knelt before him. Lucifer bowed his head and asked, "Father, what is your command?" Michael remained silent, awaiting the order.
With eyes barely able to stay open, Samael said, "I will ascend to a higher plane... I will sleep for a while. During this time, the divine realm of reincarnation is entrusted to you." He cast a heavy gaze upon them. "If something unexpected happens, awaken me."
Lucifer and Michael replied in unison, "Yes, Father."
There was no more strength to resist. Samael's body turned into golden light and slowly faded within a halo of radiance. His slumber had begun.
Lucifer stood up and cast a cold glance at Michael. "If you do anything that makes Father disappointed in us when he awakens, I'll kill you myself."
Michael gave a gentle smile. "You're always this harsh, brother. Try to soften up a little."
Lucifer growled, but then his face turned serious. "As Father's right hand and his successor, I've made a decision."
Michael raised an eyebrow. "What decision?"
"I want to establish Father's religion in a lower world... for two reasons."
"Interesting idea. Tell me, what are those two reasons?" Michael grew more curious.
Lucifer responded with a cold face, "The first reason—I'm tired of these petty beings who cannot comprehend Father's greatness. These unbelievers must be reincarnated." Then, his lips curled with unconscious contempt. "The second, this world can become a farm for reincarnation. We raise humans and then reincarnate them... like raising pigs."
Michael sighed. "You're always this cruel, brother. But what can I say? As you wish."
"So, what's your plan? How will you build this religion?"
Lucifer's eyes gleamed. "I will personally travel to a lower world and choose a mortal as the 'Chosen of Heaven'. To ensure success, I will oversee him directly."
Michael gave him a weary look. "So you're dumping all the responsibilities of Heaven on me and going off?"
Lucifer looked a bit sheepish. Even for an archangel, Heaven's workload was overwhelming. "Sorry... I'll make it up to you later."
Michael sighed again. "Alright, I promise I'll take care of everything."
Lucifer nodded and in an instant, his body turned into a beam of golden light and vanished.
Michael was left alone and murmured with a soft smile, "What a sweet, troublesome brother..." Then he returned to the mountain of tasks ahead.
---
Lucifer emerged from the portal and gently floated among the clouds, his golden eyes scanning the world below.
Even before he fully grasped the truth, his heart deeply loathed this world—as if he could feel its vile essence in his very flesh and bones.
Suddenly, his eyes sparkled and a flood of endless information about this world surged into his mind. It took only a few seconds to understand the source of his hatred:
"Redo of Healer..."
The name rolled off his tongue like poison. A world that resembled a festering heap of sin more than a place to live.
Its inhabitants were so despicable that, for a moment, Lucifer was tempted to burn them all in Heaven's holy flames. But his higher purpose held him back.
Ninety percent of the beings here were even lower than the demons of Hell.
A place where every second was a scene of unspeakable crime. Even the demons of Hell would weep for this world.
"Filthy mortals..."
Lucifer took a deep breath and tried to restrain his rage. For his mission, he had to endure. Destroying this world was not a priority—yet.
In his spiritual form, he approached a nearby city and passed through its walls to reach a dark dungeon.
There, he witnessed a revolting scene of beast-like copulation: a woman and two men degrading a brown-haired boy.
"Truly... what a disgusting world."
Lucifer waited impatiently for their vile act to end. Every second of listening to their moans was like years of torment for him.
"Father, is this one of your tests?" he thought, grinding his teeth.
Fortunately, it ended soon. The men and woman left, and only the boy remained in the cell. Now was the time to reveal himself.
A golden light appeared in the cell, gradually condensing into Lucifer's form.
A face of unimaginable beauty and androgyny—resembling Samael with blue hair and golden eyes that seemed to hold stars. Three pairs of white, radiant wings shouted his angelic identity.
"You... who are you?"
Keyaru stared at him in shock. There was no memory of an angel in his mind.
"Is this because I turned back time? A new variable?" Even without trying, he could feel the overwhelming power of this being—
A being invincible, beyond any fixed law of the universe, capable of annihilating everything in the blink of an eye.
"Damn... is this the butterfly effect? My punishment for tampering with time?"
He gritted his teeth and looked at Lucifer with more caution.
The angel smiled, but his gaze remained cold. "I'll only say my name once... listen well, worm."
Then, with heavenly pride, he said, "I am Lucifer—God's right hand, Prince of Heaven."
Keyaru paused. "Well... Mr. Lucifer, why have you come here?"
"Rejoice, mortal. You have been chosen—selected by Heaven for a higher mission."
"Could you... explain what that mission is?" Keyaru calmed slightly. At least this wasn't a punishment.
Lucifer narrowed his eyes. "I'll explain only once... so listen well." Then, with calm disdain, he explained everything to him.
