Chapter 4
A young boy was sitting on a bench, looking at his reflection in his mirror; behind him was a woman who was busy trying to comb his hair.
It was none other than Jacob, of course; but in this new world his identity was now Leonidas Valak, the first and only son of the Valak Clan.
He had grown over the past ten years now, and has changed a lot since; now he wasn't that same old teenage boy who he was before coming to this world.
Now, he was different.
He was now both Heterochromia and poliosis, which meant in simple terms he had different colours in both his eyes and hair.
Out of all the children of the Valak Clan, which was the sum total of four including him; he was the only one who had heterochromia hair (black and white) and poliosis eyes (golden and light brown) he took both traits from both his mother and father.
But the dominating genes were obviously his mother's genes, whom he really looked identical despite being a boy; but that gave him confidence in his looks.
The woman who was standing behind him, was of cause; his mother Sharon... One person in the whole house who actually cared about him, along side some few maids and men servants.
"I don't know where do you get this scruffy hair, I mean this is the fifth comb that you've broken." Sharon said as she was getting a bit frustrated trying to make his hair neat.
It wasn't like he was feeling any sort of pain or whatsoever, maybe that were the advantages of being born with vampire blood.
Over the last decade Leonidas has learnt a lot about himself and his family, thou he'd never actually seen his father since the day he was born and called him 'useless' which is a word he now prefers to use instead of the other one.
Because this one even though it insults him, it still gave him the dignity he had left of knowing that he was still a living being.
Today was a special day for Leonidas, this was the day where he had been planning for the last ten years to finally meet the other son of the Valak Clan.
Klaus Valak, the most powerful heir of the whole family; and even though he'd never actually got to meet him face to face, because he wasn't allowed to make contact with any of his siblings.
Those were the direct strict rules of the patriarch himself and the second matriach of the clan.
Things weren't really that much bad considering that he was born different than the rest of the other family members; an anomaly.
He was still treated like the rest of the other children, though his was limited to a specific order.
While other children were taught to fight and hunt, he was taught how to serve and be loyal to the others.
He wasn't allowed to be taught how to fight, let alone hunt; maybe this was because of the assumptions they had about him or what... Who really knew.
As much as that hurt him and made him feel incomplete as the child of the great Valak Clan, he decided not to take it much to heart. Already he was at a great home advantage.
He'd come to learn about his family history, secrets and they were even dumb enough to teach him their weaknesses.
But none of that really mattered, all that mattered was that he knew every corner of his house; the ins and outs, the secret passages that led to everyone's direct and private rooms.
"You're awfully quiet today, are you sure that you are really okay?" Sharon asked being concerned about her son.
"Oh I'm sorry mother, it's just that I have a lot on my mind that's all." He lied in his mother's face.
"Is this because today is a special day?" said Sharon.
'A special day?' Leonidas asked himself with quite confusing, 'oh no, does she know of my master plan to actually meet my brother today, without her permission?' he started to panic.
Was this going to be the fall and crumble of his plan of finally sneaking out and meeting with Klaus; he was determined to link with him, over the years he'd taught himself to familiarise himself with his system.
Though sometimes it proved utterly useless, since it really didn't reveal on how to actually link with a target.
The uneasiness that now he had, was now starting to be obvious as he was busy flinching on his bench and actually disturbing his mother while she was busy doing his hair.
"Why are you flinching? Are you really that nervous that I know about your little secret?" His mother convincing him more and more.
"Uh... Mother, I can explain." Leonidas thinking that he had no choice but to actually speak the truth.
Despite being a kid who was far more intelligent for his own good, most times he really hated lying to his own mother.
After all she was the only one who dared enough to show him unconditional love, so even though if she were to find out the truth and halt his plans it really didn't matter anymore.
"What will you explain, that you're nervous about the test that I've actually prepared for you?" Sharon stopped brushing his head and crutched to be at his level.
After hearing what she just said, his heart came at ease; at least she really didn't know the whole and real reason why he was nervous.
Yes, since he wasn't allowed to participate in any of the training activities that his other siblings were doing, his mother was smart enough to actually teach him some healing magic secretly.
He chuckled awkwardly, pretending that what she said was exactly why he was nervous; but it wasn't.
"Is it really that obvious, I can't hide anything from you now can I?"
"Not really, I know everything that you plan with your little mind, after all you are my son." His mother kissed him on his cheeks and left the room.
Leaving him all by himself, he waited for a few seconds then he went to check if the coast is clear in the hallway. After seeing that there was nothing and no one, he closed the door and locked it.
He then pushed his bed aside and removed the bricks that were there, revealing a secret passage way that he himself had made.
For someone at his age and little body structure, he wasn't supposed to be capable of moving the bed or lifting the ton of bricks that definitely weighed more than his body mass.
The strength he had possessed was nothing compared to any of the weight lifting he just did.
'Huh, even though I'm a half vampire I still have the same strength as other vampires.' he smiled as he realised this.
He went inside and walked underneath the whole house, the path was so dark and he couldn't see where he was going; so he used his vampire eyes to see where he was headed.
They were golden yellow in colour and he walked quite steadily and made sure that he didn't make any sound of some sort, he was bare-footed.
He had to be despite everything else, it didn't matter if his intelligence was twenty times more than everyone in the house, even if he could outsmart them in an instant; at the end of the day they were still vampires and very sensitive to noise.
The whole floor and walls of the path he was walking were both concrete and cold if I say so, not that bothered him anyway; it really didn't he was half dead, at least that's what he thought.
He was dressed in those vintage classic style manner, like how the English men and boys wore during that period era.
He was in formal wear, meaning that he was in a pure white shirt with a bow tie around his neck, black trousers that were shiny and silky and suspenders.
One thing that he was definitely for sure was overwhelming with excitement and nervous at the same time, he was finally going to meet his brother.
Lucky for him, he was born on the same day as he was it's just that he was actually born first with like few hours ahead of him.
He remembers the excitement reaction and celebration everyone had, the day that Klaus was born; it was more like a celebration really more than an excitement party.
The celebration went on, for the whole night and finally came down early morning.
Over the years he'd heard great stories about his greatness, on how he carries all his father's attributes and his mother's personality.
Not much information about him was shared among the house servants, it was either they were ordered not to speak of him or they were just simply afraid.
And in honest truth it really didn't matter, because from reading the story he was quite familiar with him and his greatness.
Finally after walking for quite a distance he finally reached his room, like his own room he had to move something to actually come out.
While he was busy shifting the rock that blocked him, he couldn't help but hear countless banging sounds that felt like they were hitting hardened structures; enough to shake the whole place.
Trying to be stealthy and carefully, his attempts were proven unfruitful; when he was busted and the person he came to see actually assisted him in lifting the rock.
"Hello" Klaus met him with a death glare.
To his unexpected surprise, the person he was now looking straight dead in the eyes, wasn't the person he'd expected.
"Uhm... Hello."
