Surya's eyes widened in horror.
His footsteps froze.
The city — the place he once called home — was unrecognizable.
Broken buildings leaned helplessly, roads cracked apart, and thick black smoke swallowed the skies. Screams echoed from every direction — men, women, children — all running… running for their lives.
Dark, twisted creatures roamed the streets. Their figures were monstrous — neither human nor beast — chasing anyone in sight with bloodthirsty hunger.
Surya's fists clenched, his heart burning with rage.
"These people… they need help!" he shouted, stepping forward.
But a cold hand gripped his shoulder. It was Aditya.
His sharp eyes stared at the chaos with chilling calmness. "Not now, Surya."
Surya's anger flared. "What do you mean not now!? Are we just going to leave them to die?!"
Aditya's voice grew darker. "Your strength... is not enough yet. If you jump in now — you'll die. Then their deaths would mean nothing."
Surya's body trembled — not with fear — but helplessness.
"But they—"
Aditya cut him off. "Listen. This is not about emotions. It's about survival. We are not ready for this war... yet."
Surya looked back at the burning streets — people screaming, families torn apart, innocent lives crushed under monster feet.
Something inside him snapped.
His eyes glowed faintly — a quiet promise to himself.
"I will return..."
"And I will protect them all."
Aditya turned around, his voice cold but honest. "Train. Grow. Become a weapon this world fears."
Without another word, Aditya pulled Surya away, back into the dense forest — the sound of dying screams haunting every step.
Surya didn't resist.
But in his heart — a storm was brewing.
A silent vow was made.
He would not be weak forever.
He would become Stranger — the guardian who stands alone in the darkness.
