When the battle ended, he stood among the black remains, breathing heavily. His hands were covered in the same substance that had changed him earlier.
This time, he reached for it.
And absorbed it.
In that moment, he realized he had become something… different.
Fin took Kai's mutilated body and returned to the village.
What he told them, no one could understand.
But the oldest hunter in the village listened in silence. Then he pulled from beneath his cloak the very artifact that once concealed the infant in the forest.
"You need to go to the city. There, you will find answers."
The city was far away—two months' journey through untamed woods.
But Fin decided he would go.
Before that, he asked the hunters to train him.
They hesitated for a long time but eventually agreed.
