~Ahvia ~
The tension in Room 203 was thick enough to choke on. Damien didn't say much after our awkward introduction just shot me one last unreadable glance before throwing himself onto his bed.
Fine by me.
I wasn't here to make friends, especially not with the most feared guy on campus. I had enough problems already without adding his brooding presence to the mix.
At some point, I must have dozed off because when I opened my eyes, the room was pitch dark. The clock on my phone read 2:37 AM…
At Least they didn't confiscate my phone because that would have make it so boring.
I blinked the sleep from my eyes, frowning. I turned my head toward Damien's bed.
It was empty.
Where the hell did he go now? Is he some kind of a serial killer?
A strange feeling settled in my stomach. I didn't know the guy well, but something told me he was more dangerous than we all knew. He was hiding something and the fact that Iris told me that there's a rumor that he isn't a normal human being makes everything dangerous to me.
Maybe he's just a weirdo but that didn't seem to be the case now.
And when I turned to sleep I heard the noise started.
A muffled commotion outside. Shouting, A loud thud, The sound was definitely a sound of flesh meeting flesh in a way that wasn't friendly at all.
I knew that, I've been there! But that didn't make my heart stop pounding against my ribs so hard!.
I sat up straight, my heart still pounding loudly like a hammer.
Then came the yell, a pained and desperate yell. More voices followed, some were murmuring and panicked, some were cheering.
Students were starting to wake up.
I swung my legs off the bed and hurried to the window, pushing the curtains aside. The courtyard below was a mess. People kept moving chaos everywhere, but I could make out a growing crowd.
And at the center of it, it was Damien.
My dear roommate is beating the absolute shit out of someone.
I took in a sharp breath as I inspected the scene. The guy beneath him was barely conscious, his face was covered in blood and swollen,he looked like he could die any minute from now.
Damien's fists were covered in red, and his expression was pure, merciless rage. His usual ominous silence had disappeared, turning something violent and uncontrolled.
More students gathered, their whispers were sharp with fear.
"Holy shit."
"He's gonna kill him."
"Someone get a teacher!"
"But it's not like it's the first time or the last, Damien could kill someone''.
Not the first? And certainly not the last?
Hell no! This place isn't for me!
Before anyone could react, Damien landed another hard punch to the guy which made him vomit blood everywhere the sound of the punch echoed through the night. The victim let out a weak, broken groan.
My stomach dropped, I couldn't believe I'm sharing a room with this fucker! He could kill me in my sleep!
I'd seen fights before. Bellworth was full of them. But this wasn't a fight. Damien looked like a completely different person, his golden eyes shone more than they were and I proved to myself, he was not wearing contacts.
The tension in the air was suffocating, the air was filled with the smell of blood splattered everywhere, No one dared to step forward. No one tried to stop him.
Because everyone was terrified of Damien Crowe.
Me included! After seeing this scene today,I would never be on his bad side , never!.
Just then, a group of teachers stormed onto the scene, their expressions were blank like they expected this situation.
"Crowe! That's enough!"
Damien didn't even flinch. He stayed where he was, his bloodied fists clenched, his chest rising and falling with each sharp breath he took.
One of the teachers, a tall man with gray almost white hair, grabbed Damien's shoulder, his voice was firm to indicate that he wasn't playing. "Stand down. Now."
For a moment, I thought Damien would ignore him like he always did to me. His entire body was still hard, tense, ready to beat the shit out of anyone again.
Then, without a word, he stepped back.
That's a surprise?
The guy on the ground barely moved. It was a miracle he didn't die already. Two teachers bent down to check on him while the others turned to Damien, their faces turning serious.
"Everyone, back to your rooms. Now!" the head teacher yelled at us.
No one hesitated. The crowd dispersed, whispering in hushed voices. But no one dared to look Damien in the eye as they passed.
I stayed there for a second longer, staring at him from the window.
His face was still blank, but I could see the way his eyes shone brightly in a not so cool manner. I knew there had to be something going on with him, being the nosy lady myself,I'll find that out.
And just before he turned to leave, his eyes looked up right at me.
I sucked in a sharp breath, I've been caught! Could I be in the same position as the guy he nearly killed?!
Then, just as quickly, he looked away, disappearing into the night.
I let the curtain fall back into place, my heart still racing.
I can't stay in the same room as Damien! What if he kill me in my sleep?
What the hell have I gotten myself into?
