Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Can I Kiss You?

The blue eyes that looked at her now only made Serena even more nervous. Since the beginning, Asher has not been good at showing facial expressions, whether he is happy, sad or angry. Therefore, she had difficulty understanding what was in Asher's heart. If Lariette were still alive, she would ask her directly how to understand the thoughts and contents of a cold-hearted husband. Had her offer just offended Asher even more?

"Why do you want to kiss me? Did Orlando always kiss you before?" Asher replied curtly.

"If I said yes, would you be jealous?" Serena shifted her body closer to her future husband.

"No. Why would I be jealous when I don't love you."

"Asher, I really don't understand. Why do you want to avoid me so much when we've kissed before?"

Asher swallowed a little nervously. "I told you the kiss was just an accident. Besides, I really didn't kiss you on purpose that time."

For the first time, Asher looked at a woman who wanted to cry just because she was rejected by a kiss. Did his words just offend his fiancé? For some reason, every time he talked about kissing, he was very nervous. So far, his heart has been cold and indifferent to anyone, he still has difficulty understanding women's feelings, even though he had previously married Lariette.

"Serena, are you crying just because I don't want to kiss you?"

Serena averted her eyes. "I'm not crying."

"Okay, I'll kiss you if you succeed in making me smile in one day. Is that an easy requirement?"

Hearing the terms lighter than before, Serena raised her head quickly. "It was very easy for me."

"But, I'm not the type of guy who smiles easily like you. Therefore, think of all the ways so that I can really smile from the bottom of my heart."

"Thank you, Asher." Serena hugged her fiancé's body happily.

Asher let go of the hug quickly while turning off the TV. He got up from the sofa while shaking the collar of his pajamas. "Lariette's manners are more graceful than yours."

"Can you tell me about Lariette?" However, seeing Asher's flat facial expression again, Serena gave up her intention of asking her future husband about useless questions. "Sorry, I shouldn't have the right to ask you to tell me about your late wife."

Asher took a deep breath. "There's not too much I can tell you about my late wife. It's just that she still smiled even though we didn't talk much."

"So, you really treated her as a housekeeper as long as she was your wife?"

"No. I treat her like a queen. But, because I've always been busy working, I rarely spend time with her." Asher turned around while looking at the digital clock on the table. "You don't want to sleep? Haven't you been unable to sleep all this time while living in hell?"

"Now I want to ask you. Why do you want to save me from hell?"

Asher still pursed his lips as he climbed the stairs. Even though the question was very simple, Asher couldn't answer the question. Because he was confused about how to answer it. He is always anxious about everything that has to do with his future new wife, but tries to cover up his anxiety with a straight face.

Serena was very disappointed because Asher couldn't answer that very easy question. Actually, she is still confused until now, why did she have to be chosen? In fact, for her, Barbara is more suitable to be Asher's wife because both of their attitudes are very cruel. However, remembering what they did in the attic room, Asher actually defended her like he was protecting his treasure.

The matter of thinking about why Asher wanted to marry her suddenly was a later matter. Now Serena looks happy as she lies down on the king size bed and rolls around. For the first time she felt heaven, for twenty years she lived in hell until she was unable to survive.

"Even though I only sleep in the guest room, I am very grateful because I can sleep on a soft bed." Serena positioned her body sitting up straight while resting her chin. "Even though he is very annoying and mysterious, he still has a conscience in providing delicious food and a comfortable bed."

For the first time, Serena slept in a comfortable bed until she woke up late. Even though the sunlight was now shining through the room, she still hadn't woken up until the alarm woke her up.

Triiiiinggggg

Hearing the sound of her cell phone alarm ringing loudly beside the bed, Serena woke up with a start while looking around. She felt like he was still in a dream world because she still couldn't believe that she could now live in a house that was like a palace. She slowly got out of bed while taking her cellphone to contact the anonymous person via chat. This time she was determined to meet the anonymous person to confirm that her future husband was now a murderer.

"How about we meet this afternoon?"

In less than five minutes, a short message notification appeared from an anonymous person.

"Okay, but don't invite anyone. Only the two of us have to know this secret."

What other evidence does the anonymous actually have? For some reason, Serena still didn't fully trust the anonymous person, she replied to the short message.

"Are you trustworthy?"

In less than a minute, the anonymous person responded.

"I'll take you to eat at a restaurant. I'll send you the address later."

Usually, if a bad person wants to commit a crime, they will definitely ask to meet in a hidden place. Seeing that anonymous wanted to meet in the open, Serena was a little relieved.

Now Serena wondered what Asher was doing in the morning. Even though it was almost noon, Asher didn't wake her up early. Was Asher actually still sleeping?

While still wearing a sexy nightgown and with difficulty opening her eyes, Serena went down the stairs looking for her husband. When she accidentally almost stepped on the wrong step, Asher immediately held her body as she almost fell from behind with a panicked expression.

"Serena, are you okay?"
