Chapter 8 - Pause Caffé ?

Author's Note: Hey everyone, it's been a while since the last update, but what can I do this series is made up of so many stories and I'm a single person.

For those who don't know, I've started playing FGO again, recently finishing Part 1.

Funny coincidence, when I write this story I hadn't started playing FGO yet, but now I have Tamamo-no-Mae and Karna in my team.

Story Arc: Welcome to Labyrinth City Timetable

Episode 2: Is it wrong to get attention? (IV)

Chapter 8: Pause Caffé ?

Plot: The Hestia Clan tried to find a new home, but the result was not as expected. So they went to lunch at a nice cafe, where a lot happened, including planning the next moves of the Clan.

POV Narrator

The sun is shining above the Labyrinth City, Time, marking noon.

Lots of people with regular jobs have finished their morning shift or are taking a lunch break.

Just as many people come and go from the Dungeon, having finished or just begun their work for the day.

The Hestia Clan is about to join the group of people who are going to explore the Dungeon, but first they have to finish lunch.

XXX

The Hestia Clan stopped at a place called, Café Mew Mew, a small, two-story pink building that resembles a castle in its aesthetics.

The staff at Café Mew Mew consists of two young bartenders and five young girls dressed in custom Maid uniforms.

At the moment, the Hestia Clan is on the open terrace located on the second floor, sitting at a large table.

They are sitting like this: Hestia to Bell's left, Bruce to Hestia's right, Tamamo-no-Mae to Bruce's right, Mash to Tamamo-no-Mae's right, and finally Karna is sitting between Mash and Bell.

Our heroes' three pets, Fou, Carmen and Vritra are sitting in the center of the table and are talking to each other.

If Carmen were more colorful and sociable, the whole scene would have belonged in the Pokémon world.

Despite the pleasant aesthetics of the place, the pleasant company and the cute waitresses, Saver and Hestia are not in a good mood.

The Clan Chief and Clan Goddess' discontent was born from the failure to find a new (temporary) home for all six of them, the special pets were not counted along with them.

The first step was to find three apartments that met Saver's elite standards, an incredibly difficult feat.

All morning Bell, Hestia, Mash, Tamamo-no-Mae and Karna, explored the entire residential district, looking at offers and inspecting apartments.

Hestia fainted over and over again at the sight of the prices or during discussions between the owner and Bruce.

Poor Bell had to carry his Goddess in his arms on the street or up the stairs, when he couldn't do it anymore, Karna offered to carry her on his shoulders as if she were a sack of potatoes.

After three long hours, during which Bruce showed that his standards are too high for the normal apartments of the Maze City.

Bell and Hestia learned a lot of new words about architecture, safety measures, hygiene codes, and stuff like Leyline and Feng shui.

Seeing that the idea of getting a new residence seems impossible today, Tamamo-no-Mae suggested to her Goshujin-Sama to give up the idea of buying apartments in the heart of the district and go out for something to eat.

"Finding a love nest for Bell and I at first seemed like a dream close to becoming a reality. But the prices are so high." Hestia mutters, resting her head on the table, showing no interest in the menu.

Bell is slightly embarrassed by his Goddess' words, but pretends not to notice.

"Goddess Hestia, don't worry, now that we are five people who can enter the Dungeon, she will soon make enough money to buy a new house." Bell said, trying to make Hestia feel better.

The little Goddess hearing these words can't help but imagine a scenario where Bell buys her a house, then takes her in his arms bridal style...

This imaginary scene completely revitalized Hestia's body and spirit.

"You're right Bell. Our Familia has grown now and we're about to do great things. This is reason to celebrate!" Hestia said aloud, grabbing the menu, wanting to see what good things she can order.

"No alcohol and don't do anything too crazy, it's midday and we still have a lot to do.

If you want to celebrate, you should wait until the evening, when our schedule is empty." Bruce said in a monotone and slightly more grumpy voice.

Hestia recovered her good mood rather quickly, but Bruce remains in a foul mood.

Something that everyone can easily notice, despite the fact that his body is completely covered in black armor, which hides his facial expressions.

"Saver, you're too serious a boy for your own good." Hestia said, having only known the Last Master for a short time, but he's clearly a person who thinks too much about work and too little about fun.

"I agree." Tamamo-no-Mae and Mash said at the same time, being in agreement on this matter.

Karna, he remains silent and aloof, having nothing to say on the subject.

"Little Goddess, you and your kind are not serious enough. Walking through the city I sensed the presence of a hundred Divine Spirits with sealed powers who live alongside mortals.

While the Deities of this world do not have access to their divine powers, you remain ageless beings with an innate talent that represents your Divine Domains, yet with such talent and literally all the time in the world to improve, you have not accomplished much.

Among all of you, not one has thought to improve the art of architecture and build something else grandiose. The only building worthy of note is your version of the Tower of Babel." Said Bruce, expressing his opinion on the Gods of this world.

"Unfortunately, most Goddesses and Gods are rather selfish beings. We came to Genkai to amuse ourselves, if you help me mortals, it is a side effect of our selfishness." Hestia said, reading me embarrassed to talk about this topic, so far she has never met someone so critical of the nature of Goddesses and Gods.

" Senpai, you shouldn't judge so harshly, we are strangers in a strange land. Maybe you should lower your standards, I understand that you only want the best for you and us, but that's not always necessary." Mash said, voicing her thoughts on Saver's behavior.

Mash cares a lot about her Senpai, more than she thinks or wants to admit. Saver is basically Mash's best friend.

Despite their closeness and intimacy, Mash will not praise her Senpai for every action he takes, on the contrary, Mash has repeatedly expressed her disappointment or reluctance at certain points regarding her Senpai's ideas and behaviors.

"I agree with Goshujin-Sama, all the places we saw there was nothing that attracted me, be it... aesthetics or... functionality." Tamamo-no-Mae said, adding the last part to sound more intelligent for extra points.

The foxgirl is like Hestia, she wishes to be carried by her Goshujin-Sama in his arms, into a lovely house all to themselves, preferably a traditional Japanese house.

"I would have thought that only Nero would understand my preferences when it comes to buildings. But I see that you too, Tama-chan, understand me." Bruce said, appreciating that someone shares his strength.

The Foxgirl kept a happy expression, but hearing the name of the woman who is her greatest rival in love, made her fox ears and tail perk up.

"Goshujin-Sama, could you take off your armor, I would like to see your face when I eat." Tamamo-no-Mae said in a gentle, yet slightly insistent tone.

Tamamo has long since given up on preventing her love from bringing weapons, Mystic Code, or strange Gadgets to the table.

But, at least she wants to see his face and with some decent clothes on. Although that last part depends on whether they are alone or not.

In Tamamo-no-Mae's mind, if they are alone at home, clothes are not mandatory, even in the kitchen.

SNAP

With a simple snap of his fingers, the obsidian armor with a dragon-like design disappeared, leaving Saver in his tight black and purple suit.

"Happy, Tama-chan?" Bruce asks, running a hand through his hair, using one of his tricks to untie his braid, needing to make his hair feel free after having it in his helmet all this time.

"I am a very happy woman, Goshujin-Sama." Tamamo-no-Mae said, having eyes fixed on her beloved Bruce, finding him attractive in that tight and slightly sweaty suit.

'I don't like Scáthach, the mere presence of that Celtic witch is a distraction for my Goshujin-Sama. But Scáthach did something right when she infected my Goshujin-Sama with a fascination for tight clothes and bodysuits.' Tamamo-no-Mae thinks, appreciating her love's attire.

The foxgirl pulls her chair closer to Saver's seat.

"Your hair is not happy." Tamamo-no-Mae said, as she took one of the long strands of Bruce's lavender hair.

If it were anyone else who did this, Bruce would at the very least punch them in the face or turn them into ice. But Tamamo-no-Mae has a special place in Bruce's heart.

"I know, I haven't had time to take care of my hair lately.

"The first attempt to find a world for our long vacation ended badly: time travel, join Night Raid and meet Esdeath." Bruce said with an exasperated tone, while playing with a lock of hair.

When Bruce said that name, Tamamo-no-Mae and Mash stiffened for a moment.

"Then, the second attempt, was less disastrous. We first arrived on Earth Land, the first few weeks everything was fine, but then the disastrous event of the Grand Magic Games happened. At least, the third time was the lucky one." Bruce mutters, listing the events prior to their arrival in the Maze City, Orario.

Bell hearing these unique names, I pay close attention, trying to memorize them, so I can ask for details later.

Because the young white-haired adventurer is sure there are stories about it.

"The past is the past, we must not talk about the bad events." Tamamo-no-Mae said, not wanting to think about her previous attempts to find a nice place to take a vacation for a whole year.

"Instead, can we talk about how to fix your hair, what kind of hairstyle can we do for you? Maybe some curls like that Edelfelt girl?" Tamamo-no-Mae suggests, running her hand up and down her lover's long hair.

"Luvia Edelfelt has a very beautiful hairstyle, I never thought of imitating her. However, it is quite a complex and difficult hairstyle to maintain, a different level from my usual braid." Bruce said, expressing his opinion on the Ojou-sama hairstyle.

"Don't worry Goshujin-Sama, I will personally take care of washing, securing, combing and waving your hair every day, whether it is morning or evening." Tamamo-no-Mae said with a voice full of happiness.

The foxgirl begins to caress her lover's head, slowly moving her hand back and forth.

"Well, I'll let you try to make my hair curly, if that doesn't work we can make it straight." Bruce said with a monotone expression, but there is a hint of happiness in his look and tone of voice.

'I wonder if I could ask Bell to comb my hair? Wouldn't that be romantic?' Hestia thinks, watching with envy what is happening between Caster and Saver.

Bell blushing decided to shift his attention to the menu, reading the contents again, not wanting to look too long at Tamamo-no-Mae who is affectionate with Bruce.

Mash, on the other hand, clenches her fist under the table, not knowing why, but her heart is feeling a pang of anger towards Tamamo-no-Mae.

"Senpai, I have a question!" Mash declares out loud, thus interrupting the "magic" between the foxgirl and her Senpai.

"What do you want to ask Mash?" Bruce asks, looking in Mash's direction, making the little signs of happiness disappear.

The knight girl stammers for a moment, searching her mind for a question to ask.

"If we had found a home that met your standards, how would we have bought it or paid the rent? We arrived last night and we have no local currency." Mash asks, finding a sensible question.

"When you went to sleep, I took a night walk in the company of Carmen, leaving Vritra with you.

In a short time, I found a casino, and I did not miss the opportunity to play this world's variant of Poker. It's nice that playing with cards is a constant variant in the multiverse." Bruce said with a small smile, waving his hands and making a hand of four aces appear out of thin air.

"After about ten wins I got bored and went out and wandered around town. Around four in the morning I returned to the ruined Little Goddess Church." Bruce said, placing the four cards on the table next to Carmen.

"You gambled!?" Hestia asks, surprised that Bruce would do something like that. This emphasizes that they have only known each other for a short time.

Bruce reaches out and takes something from his huge backpack that's leaning against his chair.

"Yes, and I won a decent amount." Bruce said calmly, taking five childishly designed coin purses, stuffed full of money, out of his backpack and placing them on the table.

The first coin purse looks like a white board, the second a red and golden dragon, the third a fox with multiple tails, the fourth is a griffin and the last one a cute looking golden skull.

"They're very cute!" Bell said, picking up the white rabbit-shaped coin purse.

"Thanks, when I'm bored and have nothing to do, I do crafts.

I made this purse on a rainy day in the fall of 2016, when I was alone at home with Tamamo-no-Mae.

I remember we made dinner together, then watched a romantic comedy." Bruce said in a nostalgic tone, starting to play with the fox-shaped coin purse.

The fox priestess takes advantage of the moment to grab her beloved's arm and rest her head on his shoulder.

"My Goshujin-Sama and I have a very long history behind us, filled with sweet moments and some passionate nights," Tamamo-no-Mae said, boasting about her past with Bruce, looking towards Mash, who is in some ways the new girl.

"If I remember correctly, Altera, Astolfo and Nero, they all met and knew Senpai before you." Mash said, reminding the fox priestess that she is not the first woman in Senpai's life.

The Fox Priestess and the Knight Girl remained silent, but exchanged sharp glances with each other.

"I've begun to understand how Luz felt when Amity and I fought over her. The friend vs. lover comparisons are a headache for the person in the middle." Bruce said, realizing he has a lot of apologies to make to his first best friend.

"Sorry, Senpai/Goshujin-Sama." Mash and Tamamo-no-Mae stated at the same time.

Ignoring whatever is going on between Saver, Shielder, and Caster; Hestia reaches for her griffin-shaped coin purse, her eyes widening.

"This is more than I earn in a month!" Hestia exclaims, unable to believe the amount of Valis inside the coin purse.

At that moment one of the waitresses of the place approached the Hestia Clan table.

The waitress is a pink-haired Catgirl with two cat ears on top of her head and a long tail.

Her maid uniform is pretty standard, with the body of the dress being the secondary color and its trim being the primary color, in this case pink and red.

The catgirl wears a pair of black shoes, white knickerbockers under her dress, and a white heart-shaped apron with a large bow tied at the back.

The color of the shoelaces, socks and the edge of the maid's hair bands also depends on the main color scheme.

"Good morning, can I take your order?" asks the waitress Catgirl, in her pink and red uniform.

The Hestia Clan, seeing the arrival of the Catgirl Maid, stopped discussing their personal matters.

"Bell and I are going to get some sandwiches and two lemonades." Hestia said, walking over to Bell and grabbing his hand.

"It looks as good a dish as the other one." Bell said, finding the dish Hestia offered good.

Waitress Catgirl took note of Little Goddess and Bunny-boy's plate.

"I think I'll have some sandwiches and a latte too." Mash said, concentrating on what to get to eat.

"I want some rice cakes, some salad and some green tea." Tamamo-no-Mae said, remaining with her head resting on her Goshujin-Sama's shoulder.

"A chicken sandwich and some plain water." Karna said, not having very complex tastes.

The waitress Catgirl took orders from everyone present except Bruce.

"You..." the waitress Catgirl looks at Bruce, her appearance making her unsure whether she should call him Sir or Ma'am.

"...dear customer, what would you like to order?" asks the waitress Catgirl, saving the situation.

"I'm not ordering anything, I don't feel like light meals, not even a dessert or a cup of tea." Bruce said in a monotone voice, refusing the opportunity to eat sweets.

These words had a bad effect on the Servants.

"What!?" Mash and Tamamo-no-Mae shout loudly, jumping to their feet.

Karna also breaks his unreadable expression, showing a surprised look.

Even the special pets stopped relaxing, looking at Bruce as if he were a car that was about to hit them, except Carmen who remained calm.

"Senpai, are you feeling okay!?" Mash asks, standing on her Senpai's left side.

"Goshujin-Sama, tell me what bad thing happened last night at the casino, did they try to poison you?" Tamamo-no-Mae asks, taking out some Ofuda from her sleeves, to perform a diagnosis spell.

"And the pulse is functioning within normal limits," said Mash, who grabbed Bruce's wrist to measure his heart rate.

"He has not been poisoned and he does not have a fever." Said Tamamo-no-Mae, who placed her hand on Bruce's forehead to take his temperature.

"The heart is beating as usual." Mash said, keeping her ear to Bruce's chest, specifically on the left side and not the right.

"Maybe we should have Goshujin-Sama take off his clothes, then we should use a copybook." Tamamo-no-Mae suggests, wanting to use more precise tools to measure vital data.

"A good idea, Tamamo. But first, Senpai, please open your mouth and stick out your tongue." Mash said, seeming to be on the same wavelength as Caster.

"Karna." Bruce said in a cold voice, clearly frustrated by the two girls' brusque attitude.

In an instant, the Hindu demigod moved, grabbing the two girls by the back collars of their dresses and pulling them away from his Master.

"What just happened!?" Bell asks, voicing the opinion of everyone witnessing this scene.

"Good question, Bell. Girls, why are you so worried, I'm not sick, I just said I'm not hungry?" Bruce asks, baffled by these senseless actions.

"This worries me worse than an illness, you are a relative of Artoria and Mordred, when it comes to sweets you should eat them in abundance and be fine." Mash said without hesitation, knowing that her Senpai has a black hole in his stomach, especially for anything sweet.

"Goshujin-Sama, at our table there is a catgirl in a cute Maid outfit, on the menu there is a whole page dedicated to sweets and another page full of different types of tea.

If you were feeling well, you should take a quick look at the waitress's cat ears and tail, look at her uniform, then order all the sweets on the menu, along with a nice cup of tea." Tamamo-no-Mae talks about how her Goshujin-Sama should have acted.

"How do you know Saver was supposed to act this way?" asks Hestia, probably the most confused person of all.

"My Goshujin-Sama is a great lover of tea and sweets, especially the latter, he consumes them regularly.

Then, he has a slight preference for kemonomimi, catgirl is his third favorite, second are doggirl and first place are foxgirl.

Finally, maid uniforms have been a Bahamut family vice for generations." Tamamo-no-Mae said, seeming proud to know all these details.

"How do you know all these private things?" Hestia asks, sure that even she doesn't know so many things about her Bell.

"A good wife knows her husband's desires so she can fulfill them and keep temptations away." Tamamo-no-Mae declares in a confident voice, her chest puffed out with pride.

'I should write this stuff down.' Hestia thinks seriously, looking at Tamamo-no-Mae as some kind of role model.

"Caster, I'm the one who should be worried now.

Because for years you've been trying to kill my polygamous tendencies and install me in monogamy.

"Now, my dear little fox, you're worried that I haven't looked at another woman." Bruce said, starting to look strangely at Tamamo-no-Mae.

"Goshujin-Sama, I will not share the role of wife with any other woman. But now let's talk about how strange you are acting, and not about our marital situation." Tamamo-no-Mae said in a serious voice, focusing on one "problem" at a time.

" Maybe I should leave the three of you alone and come over later?" Maid Catgirl asks, feeling very uncomfortable and wants to leave.

"No!" Mash and Tamamo-no-Mae answer loudly.

"Take this." Tamamo-no-Mae said, passing the fox-shaped coin purse to the waitress Catgirl.

" Bring what we ordered, the rest of the money is used to order any dessert or cup of tea on the menu." Mash said in a serious voice.

"As you wish, dear customers." Camera Catgirl said, taking the money and hurrying off to get food for her strange customers.

"Wherever we go, we can't help but attract attention." Bell mutters, feeling embarrassed and a little ashamed.

"Being a hero involves being looked up to, jealously, hated and loved by everyone. If you want to be a hero you have to get used to it." Said Karna, giving a little pearl of wisdom to Bell.

"Especially if you're around a magnet of trouble and weirdness, often in the form of murder cases, unexplained phenomena, secret organizations, behind-the-scenes conflicts, and troubled women of one kind or another." Bruce said, summing up the many disasters he often encounters in his life.

''Accepting Saver and his friends into my Family was the second best or worst decision of my life?' Hestia thinks, having a little second thoughts when she hears words like that.

"Before the food and drink arrive, Goshujin-Sama, tell me if you do not feel ill physically or emotionally, why do you not want to eat anything?" asks Tamamo-no-Mae, wanting to solve this mystery.

"Because last night I used half my winnings to eat my fill at nightclubs." Bruce said, patting his stomach lightly to emphasize his words.

"This makes more sense than a sudden illness." Mash said with an embarrassed voice and red cheeks.

"And we made a fool of ourselves for nothing." Tamamo-no-Mae comments, lowering her head in shame, instead of looking like a perfect wife, she gave the impression of a slightly crazy wife.

"Girls, I've seen worse from you. Plus, I appreciate your overprotective craziness, it's a sign that you sincerely care about me." Bruce said appreciating Tamamo-no-Mae and Mash's intent, though not the actions themselves.

"I agree with Saver, I would be happy to have beautiful girls who care about me and want to take care of me." Bell confesses, trying to help.

'So Bell wants to be cuddled?' Hestia thinks, writing the information down for later.

XXX

Fifteen minutes later, waitress Catgirl returned with the food.

But she didn't come back alone, she came back with four female friends/companions, dressed in blue, green, yellow and purple.

To carry the entire order of the Hestia Clan, five pairs of hands were needed.

"Saver, how can you eat so much, didn't you say you were full?" Hestia asks, watching as Saver is eating his seventh plate of sweets in five minutes.

"Now I don't eat to fill my stomach, but to make my brain work. Some artists use drugs to make their masterpieces, I feed my brain a lot of glucose, that is sugar." Bruce said, holding the spoon to the side of his head and drawing little circles in mid-air, as if pretending that the gears of his brain were working.

'What is glucose?' Hestia thinks, not knowing the meaning of that word.

"Goshujin-Sama open your mouth." Tamamo-no-Mae said, with a gentle smile, she took a fork and carefully loaded a bite of strawberry shortcake onto it.

"Goshujin-Sama, you gambled yesterday, so you must be punished." Tamamo-no-Mae said, bringing the fork to Bruce's lips.

"Is this a punishment?" Bell mutters, seeing what Tamamo-no-Mae is doing more as a reward.

The Fox Priestess's eyes are fixed on Bruce's, as she waits for him to open his mouth.

As Bruce does so, Tamamo-no-Mae carefully places the morsel of food on her tongue, watching intently as she savors the flavors of the treat.

The process repeated for a while, Tamamo-no-Mae feeding her beloved morsel after morsel with tender care.

The foxgirl's fingers brush Bruce's lips every now and then.

As Tamamo-no-Mae was about to take the last portions of the treat with the puppy, Tamamo-no-Mae's hand lingered near her love's mouth, her thumb gently caressing her lower lip.

The Fox Priestess's yellow eyes flashed with desire for a moment, and she leaned even closer...

" Tamamo-no-Mae we are in a public place, people can see what you are doing." Mash said, ruining the moment.

"I am not ashamed of my love!" Tamamo-no-Mae replies, almost throwing the spoon at Mash.

"Open your mouth, Bell!" Hestia said, taking a spoon and taking a small portion of one of the dozens of sweets on the table.

Bell, having no way of disobedience or the wheel to ruin the good mood of his Goddess, opened his mouth, letting Hestia feed him. Something that deep down he liked, but only a little.

"Why don't you take a leaf out of Hestia's book and find someone else to pay attention." Tamamo-no-Mae said, pointing to the little scene going on between the Young Adventurer and the Little Goddess.

"The only other man at the table is Karna. And I would never do anything like that to him." Mash replies without hesitation.

"No offense Karna, you are a great person, but to me you are just a good friend." Mash said apologetically, not wanting to offend the Hindu demigod.

"No problem." Karna replies, understanding what Mash means with her previous words.

Bruce stands up from his chair and slams his hands on the table, making all the plates rattle, drawing attention to himself.

"We've recharged our batteries and time to focus on work." Bruce said in a serious voice, full of energy and ideas because of the sugar.

"My lunch break is over." Vritra comments in a bored voice of someone who is too lazy to go back to work, but does it anyway.

Vritra taking a last bite of his plate, climbs onto Bruce's hand and walks up behind him, where he returns to his usual living scarf position.

"What is a battery?" asks Bell, not knowing the meaning of this word.

"A battery is an electrical device that supplies electrical energy.

It often consists of one or more cells, each of which is capable of transforming chemical energy into electrical energy.

Batteries are used in a variety of electronic devices and can be rechargeable or disposable.

In general, a battery is a source of electrical energy that can be carried around and used flexibly to power various devices." Bruce explained in detail what a battery is.

Hestia and Bell remain silent, staring at Bruce as if he were some rare creature speaking an incomprehensible language.

"Aniki, don't use complicated words with these two, they didn't understand anything of your speech." Vritra states the obvious.

"I only understood that batteries are something complicated, but similar to Magic Stones." Hestia said, only managing to understand the basic concept.

"I have set our goals in varying degrees of importance and terms of timing." Bruce said, squeezing his fingers together, using illusionary magic for creative purposes.

Semi-transparent screens, reminiscent of computer screens, appeared in front of the people present.

XXX

Once Bruce is sure that everyone has read this list of objectives, I cancel his illusionary magic, causing the screens to disappear.

"And some students at Ars Magus Academy were saying that I was wasting my time studying illusion magic." Bruce said, scoffing at the words of his old school acquaintances.

"Saver you sure are an ambitious person." Hestia said with a slightly intimidated voice.

The Little Goddess is sure that a normal Familia would have taken many months or years to achieve just some of these goals.

Perhaps decades or centuries to complete the most ambitious goals, and Bruce wants to do all of this and more in just one year.

"Senpai is an all-or-nothing type of person." Mash said, knowing that her Senpai has a tendency to overdo things or make things too big.

Hestia was silent for a moment, reviewing Saver's goals once again, remembering something about buying clothes for herself and the other girls.

"Saver, are you serious about getting me clothes and jewelry?" Hestia asks, believing she was put on the list by mistake.

"I am the leader of your Clan, my duties include looking after you. Buying shoes, a wardrobe and accessories for you is the bare minimum." Bruce replies, as if it were something obvious.

Despite his almost apathetic tone of voice, Hestia was touched by Bruce's words. She would have preferred Bell to give her such a gift, but gifts are always welcome.

"Thank you thank you!" Hestia exclaims, jumping on Bruce, trying to say thank you with a hug.

"She is a gentle Goddess." Karna said, being able to easily see Hestia's true tender nature.

"Yes, it is." Bell said, knowing firsthand the kindness of his Goddess.

"Hestia, I advise you to keep your hands off my man." Tamamo-no-Mae said in a threatening voice, not happy with what she sees.

"Sorry, I got emotional." Hestia said, quickly returning to her seat, away from Bruce and next to Bell.

The Little Goddess is not so stupid as to attract Tamamo-no-Mae's ire.

"If you want to help me, don't touch me, instead tell me you know someone with deep pockets who wants to buy unique artifacts or materials." Bruce said, needing a wealthy contact to start his business.

A light bulb went off in Hestia's brain, showing her an idea on how she can help her Familia.

"Hephaistos!" Hestia exclaims loudly with a smile on her lips.

"My female friend Hephaistos might be interested in purchasing rare materials, after all she and her sons are always looking for new ways to improve their craft as artisans and blacksmiths." Hestia proudly explains her splendid idea.

"You said: my female friend Hephaistos. Does that mean that the Hephaistos of this world is a woman?" Mash asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, Hephaistos is a woman, why do you ask me?" Hestia asks, finding this question strange, perhaps the strangest one today.

"In our world Hephaistos is a man, to find out that in this world the blacksmith god is a blacksmith goddess, well, it leaves one feeling surprised." Mash said, feeling slightly embarrassed to explain this difference between the two (or three) Hephaistos.

"Why are you surprised, Mash. In Chaldea we learned that half of the historical figures and myths known to everyone as men are actually women." Bruce said, feeling nothing at all at discovering Hephaistos's gender difference.

"True, it's practically the norm for us." Tamamo-no-Mae said, being as calm as her Goshujin-Sama.

"Yes, you two are right, why was I surprised?" Said the knight girl, even more embarrassed than before.

"But what do you have to offer Hephaistos? She won't give money for something easy to find." Hestia said, not wanting to make a bad impression.

"Vritra, I want you to spit out the four special cans." Bruce said, touching Vritra under the chin with a finger.

"What cans?" asks Vritra with a look that belongs to a person who knows nothing about anything.

"Those special little boxes, made when I was bored at Nevermore Academy, using materials obtained from the Carpathians, made after I finished playing Juliet in the school play." Bruce said, providing the details, hoping it was enough to remind Vritra what it's about.

"It reminds me of the play and your kiss with a Romeo played by the Empress (Mitsuru Kirijo), but nothing else." Vritra said, not having a good memory.

"Vritra try to remember, that day you tried for the first time to eat a pizza covered with boiled lobsters, covered in cream and melted chocolate." Bruce said, trying a different tactic, through Vritra's stomach.

"Yeah, I remembered, it was a horrible pizza, but I ate it anyway. Then, I lay face up on your desk, while you worked with broken glass and old wooden boxes." Vritra said, finally remembering what Bruce is talking about.

Vritra opened his mouth, opened his mouth as if he were one of those snakes that can swallow a large dog, then "vomited" the four objects requested by Bruce onto the table.

"Did Vritra just vomit up four jewelry boxes larger than himself?" Hestia asks, pointing to the four small boxes that resemble elegant jewelry boxes.

"How does he do that?" asks Bell, quite impressed by this trick.

" In the same way that he can eat a whole roast turkey by himself, Vritra has a larger stomach inside.

Some of my ET knowledge says that Vritra looks like a Gourmand (Upchuck - Ben 10), but without the tentacles in his mouth." Bruce said as if it were the most obvious comparison in the world.

Hestia and Bell glanced at Mash, hoping for an explanation.

"Hestia, Bell, you two don't look at me like I have the answer to everything. My Senpai doesn't involve me in everything he does, there are many sides of his life that I don't know." Mash said, not knowing what Bruce was talking about this time.

"I am a man surrounded by mystery." Bruce said with a mischievous smile, happy to remain an enigma.

After everything that has happened so far, Hestia begins to suffer from a slight migraine. The Little Goddess wonders how Mash manages to stay sane if she stays glued to Bruce's side most of the day.

Hestia looks at Vritra, expecting to see another oddity at any moment.

"Vritra can talk, and his stomach works like a closet." Hestia said, summarizing what she has learned so far.

"What can the other little animals do?" Hestia asks, looking towards Carmen and Fou.

Mash prepares to answer, but Bruce signals for her to keep her lips closed.

"I'm sorry, Goddess Hestia, but you'll have to wait and see what Carmen and Fou are capable of." Mash said, not wanting to ruin her Senpai's game.

"Saver, what's so special about these little boxes or jewelry boxes?" Bell asks, not knowing how to describe the small, elegantly decorated, rectangular wooden boxes.

"Little Goddess and Bunny-boy, these are remote mirrors, they are intelligent, if a little proud." Bruce said, placing one of the four little boxes, aka remote mirrors, in front of Hestia.

"Saver, this is a jewelry box, not a mirror." Hestia said, feeling that she was being teased or that Saver was truly not feeling well.

Bruce opens the jewelry box, revealing about ten pieces of triangular-shaped glass inside.

On the bottom of the lid is engraved an extremely small and equally complex magic circle.

"When I point it, Hestia says your name and claps her hands. It's a little advice this mirror prefers to be called sir." Bruce explains the instructions on how he can use this magical artifact.

Bruce claps his hands once, and the magic circle lights up for a moment. Then all the pieces of glass float in mid-air and fit together like puzzle pieces, forming a rectangular mirror.

"A real magic mirror, I feel like I'm in a fairy tale." Bell said, smiling at the sight of the floating mirror made up of smaller pieces.

"Does the mirror wish to be called sir?" Hestia asks, sure she hasn't uttered a stranger sentence than that in her life.

"I didn't invent the rules. I simply built the mirror using old manuscripts and century-old notes." Bruce said, noting that he is not responsible for the mirror's eccentricity at a distance.

"Mirror Lord! You will obey the wishes of the one who speaks his name now." Bruce said in a dramatic voice, making hand gestures.

"Hestia." The Little Goddess said, then clapped her hands, following the instructions she had received.

"Nothing happened." Bell said, seeing no change in the distant mirror.

"The mirror now belongs to Hestia, once she receives an order, she will perform her magic." Bruce explains why nothing happened.

Hestia is silent for a moment, thinking about what to ask the magic mirror.

"Mirror Lord, show me what my Hephaistos is doing." Hestia asks, unaware of the little mess that is about to happen.

The mirror stopped showing Hestia's reflection, and instead showed a high-definition image of something happening somewhere far away.

The magic mirror is showing a young and beautiful woman, 165 centimeters tall.

This woman has one crimson eye and red hair that reaches her neck.

He has a rather sharp face and a slim body with an eye patch over his right eye.

She wears a white shirt, long black gloves, black pants and black high-heeled boots. This person is the Goddess Hephaistos.

"Saver's magic mirror really works, I can see my dear female friend Hephaistos." Hestia said, surprised at how this artifact works.

Hestia's joy didn't last long, because she realized that Hephaistos was in a bathroom, preparing to take a shower.

The magic mirror showed how the Goddess Hephaistos began to undress.

"Bell close your eyes!" Hestia shouts, losing her temper, putting her hands on Bell's face.

The Little Goddess doesn't want her Bell to see another naked woman among herself, plus she wants to protect the honor of her best female friend.

"This would be Hephaistos, she is a pretty woman. She doesn't look like the God Hephaistos I met in the past, she reminds me more of Muramasa. I see, that despite being different versions of the same deity, they have a physical deformity in common." Bruce comments, seeing that the naked Goddess has an ugly deformity around her right eye.

"Saver, don't look!" Hestia shouts, moving her hands away from Bell's face, moving towards Bruce.

The Last Master does not let himself be "blinded" by Hestia, easily stopping her using one arm.

"I am a scientist, a doctor and a necromancer. I have seen thousands of naked bodies of every imaginable shape, alive or dead, healthy or sick, unharmed or mutilated, fresh or decomposed.

The sight of a naked man or woman makes me feel nothing at all." Bruce said completely uninterested in the sight offered by the magic mirror.

"Is Saver serious?" Hestia asks looking towards Tamamo-no-Mae and Mash.

"Unfortunately, it's true. Nudity is not something that excites or makes my Goshujin-Sama uncomfortable.

Making them want to make love is a monumental task that requires lots of home-cooked food, nice new clothes, a new perfume, shiny jewelry, a perfect date and a room prepared for the act." Said Tamamo-no-Mae, speaking from her previous experiences with Bruce.

"Anyway, you're not supposed to peek at my best female friend while she's showering!" Hestia said, trying to forget what she just learned.

"Goddess Hestia, wouldn't it be easier to ask the mirror to shift your attention to something else?" asks Karna, once again shown that he speaks little, but when he does, he always says something reasonable.

"Mirror lord, please show me my home!" Hestia said, not wanting the mirror to show a second longer, the naked form of her best female friend.

The magic mirror changed scenery, showing the ruined church where the Hestia Clan lives.

"Bell, you can open your eyes now." Hestia said in a relieved voice.

Bell ha aperto i occhi, facendo finta di non aver visto niente, soprattutto per il suo bene e per la pace interiore di Hestia.

"Aside from this ecchi incident, what do you think about the mirror being sold for a high price?" Bruce asks, wanting to know Hestia's opinion.

"A mirror that lets you peek at people when they bathe, that would surely be worth a fortune to perverts, surely Loki and Hermes would sell an arm and a leg for it." Hestia said, looking at the magic mirror as a tool for perverts.

"Hestia, you are not a person capable of reasoning without being influenced by your emotions and experiences." Bruce said, criticizing Hestia for not thinking about the true functionality of the remote mirror.

"Remote mirrors are rare artifacts, just having them is a sign of prestige and wealth for Magus families.

These mirrors were at their peak in the 15th century, during the time of Trevor Belmont, the Vampire Hunter, and Isaac, the Devil Forgemaster." Bruce shares some details about the history of these magical mirrors.

Hearing Bruce's words, Little Goddess puts aside her angry feelings and tries to think with a fresh mind.

"This magic mirror resembles the Divine Mirrors we are allowed to use during the War Games. You have a Magical Artifact that is a copy of one of the powers of the Arcanum of the Gods." Hestia said aloud, her eyes wide, realizing how special this magic mirror is.

"You haven't seen the real purpose of these yet." Bruce said, motioning for Mash to demonstrate.

The knight girl presses one of the mirror's containers from a distance, opens it and claps her hands.

A magic mirror appeared before Mash, having the same shape and capabilities as the mirror that Hestia is currently using.

"My Dear Mirror, I wish to speak to Hestia." Mash said in a gentle, courteous voice.

In an instant the two mirrors connected.

Hestia's mirror is showing Mash's face, while Mash's mirror is showing Hestia's face.

"Mirrors of this category can be used to talk to people from a long distance." Bruce said, talking about the real strength of these magic mirrors.

The Little Goddess and the Young Adventurer open their eyes wide, having never heard or seen anything like it.

"What is the range limit?" Hestia asks in an incredulous voice.

"There is no limit, you can talk in real time with a person who is on the other side of the planet." Bruce said, smiling faintly, amused by Hestia and Bell's expressions.

"Such a magical instrument is priceless and you want to sell it for our sake!?" Hestia asks, almost crying tears of happiness.

"I want to sell, two of these mirrors to your female friend Hephaistos, two of these will be a gift for you and Bell." Bruce said, pushing the third small box containing a magic mirror towards Bell.

"I can't accept, there are only four magic mirrors, you would be left without any." Bell said, not wanting to accept this gift.

"You are certainly a kind person, Bell. But you underestimate my Goshujin-Sama, do you think he would sell something so useful if he couldn't create or own something better?" Tamamo-no-Mae said, pushing the box back to Bell.

"How is it possible that there is anything better than these mirrors, I'm sure several Goddesses and Gods would kill to have them." Hestia asks aloud, pointing to the floating magic mirror.

"On Earth-2126, remote mirrors are more than six hundred years old.

Technology and science have advanced to the point where these mirrors are obsolete, although they still have their uses.

Today all forms of long distance communication are done via Smartphones, Computers and other inventions." Bruce said, gesturing to Mash.

Mash pulled a spare smartphone out of the pocket dimension of his shield, providing a visible and tangible example of what Bruce is talking about.

"If you ask why I want to give you two magic mirrors instead of smartphones.

Simple, smartphones need a radio station to work, they are easier to break, harder to use if you are new to technology.

For you two, magic mirrors will work." Bruce said, not wanting to spend days playing technology consultant to Hestia and Bell.

"Master, you asked me to announce when it is 1:00 p.m." Karna said, speaking for the third time in an hour.

"We often have too much time at the table and talking." Bruce said, rising from the table and calling upon his black armor.

"Vritra, Mash, Karna, Bell, the seven of us are the Alpha team, and we're going into the Dungeon, we have six hours to explore the first five floors of the Dungeon." Bruce said, creating a team, setting a goal and a time limit.

'Saver said the seven of us? Aren't there five of us? Did he miscommunicate?' Bell thinks, finding this strange.

"Tamamo-no-Mae, Carmen, Fou, Hestia, you four are the Omega Squad. Tamamo and Hestia's task is to go to Hephaistos and trade the magic mirrors for a large sum of money.

Tamamo, you are the woman in charge, you are in charge of negotiating the price of the magic mirrors. Once you do that, go back to the church and call me, I will give you more information." Bruce said, handing out a task to the second team.

"The Game Is On!" Bruce declares, clapping his hands, a signal for everyone to move.
