Chapter 35 - Chapter 34: The Death of Zipporah Mazzi

One day, I overheard Kanda and Balela discussing which Badilite would make the perfect future husband for Benesha. I immediately recommended Tshikuta. As I listened, I couldn't help but notice the subtle tension between the two of them. I recognized it as an opportunity—an opening in their carefully constructed world. My plan was to destroy Benesha by taking Tshikuta away from her in the future.

I had also planned the Badila family's trip to Greece at the same time as Mandane's. I was to sit next to Mandane on the flight to Greece, but I switched seats with Sansula instead. This was no accident; I wanted Mandane to meet him and be influenced by his essence. It was clear to me that Mandane and Sansula were soulmates. She needed him to break free from her slothful nature. By giving her a glimpse of her true potential and then yanking it away, I would create friction in her relationship with Sansula, causing her to spiral. That's how I would break her.

Then, there was Haniya. I stumbled upon a video of her singing a popular song. The video had already garnered significant attention, as her talent was undeniable. But I wasn't content with letting things unfold naturally. I hacked into the platform to amplify her success. She was destined for a career that would one day implode, and I would be the one to orchestrate it.

I also timed my pilgrimage to the House of God to coincide with Haniya's family trip. I knew it would give her the perfect chance to meet Sansula. In the right circumstances, she would develop feelings for him, and things would spiral out of control. I planned to use their relationship to destroy her, to make her pay for all the attention and praise she'd garnered. After the chastity lecture, I subtly guided the three boys toward Haniya, alerting Sansula that she was in danger, thereby cementing his involvement.

Kayla, too, was a part of my plans. I introduced her to drugs and intoxicants by getting her to befriend a group of girls who were involved in such things. I knew she was naturally resistant to them, but that didn't matter. I wanted to expose her to her weaknesses, so that I could use her vices to manipulate and destroy her.

And then there was Minah. I made sure to plan my trip to Japan around the same time as hers, so that I could bring her face to face with my fiancé, planting the seed of desire. I would use her obsession to ensure that she failed—miserably.

But it wasn't just Minah who would become entangled in my schemes. During my holiday in Japan, I crossed paths with Zipporah.

"Can I talk to her one-on-one?" she asked as Benesha and Sansula left, and Yeshaya wandered off somewhere.

"What is it you want to discuss with me in private?" I asked, maintaining my calm.

"What are you scheming behind the scenes?" she demanded.

"Nothing," I replied, feigning innocence. "I just wanted to visit Tokyo with my fiancé and sister. Is there anything wrong with that?"

"You just so happen to be here at the same time as Minah and Haniya. That can't be a coincidence," she countered, eyes narrowing.

"Do you have any proof that I orchestrated this?" I asked, my voice turning colder.

She didn't respond, falling into an uncomfortable silence. "Silence. That's what I thought," I said, walking away from her.

Zipporah was the one person who truly irritated me. She had challenged me during Maeve's 18th birthday party, and I knew she was an obstacle standing in the way of my plans. Her presence had to be dealt with, swiftly and decisively. If I wanted to succeed, I needed to dispose of her—before she could ruin everything.

In the summer of 2030, I carefully devised a plan to eliminate Zipporah once and for all. I knew that Sansula kept explosives in his military gear, and I needed to access them.

First, I caused a power outage in Zipporah's area. With the street cameras and ring bell cameras offline, I had the perfect cover. I made my way to her street at night, found her car, and attached the explosives to it. To ensure I could track the right moment, I planted a spy camera on the front window of the car, giving me a live feed.

Returning to my own place, I watched the footage in the morning with quiet anticipation. Soon enough, Zipporah and her husband Yeshaya entered the car. Though Yeshaya wasn't involved in my conflict with Zipporah, he was just another obstacle in the way of my plans. I wasn't going to wait until Zipporah was alone; I saw my chance and seized it.

"I don't have a good feeling about driving this car," she said, her voice tinged with unease.

"Do you want me to drive?" Yeshaya asked, clearly trying to reassure her.

"It's not that... I just have a bad feeling about this car altogether," Zipporah confessed, her voice hesitant.

"We just bought it!" Yeshaya replied, still trying to calm her.

"I know... I know. I'm being ridiculous. Let's just go," Zipporah sighed, starting the engine and pulling out of the parking spot.

That was my cue. Without hesitation, I detonated the bombs. The car erupted in flames, engulfing Zipporah and ending her life. I had just eliminated my greatest adversary, the one person who stood between me and my goals.

The following day, everyone from the seven married couples and their daughters attended Zipporah's funeral. I, too, went—accompanied by the Badila family.

As the homunculi sisters wept, I stood still, staring at Zipporah's tombstone and grave. My face was unreadable, devoid of any emotion.
