Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Blissbinders

Samuel's thoughts? From initial panic, he dove straight into absolute filth. His signature playboy smirk curled at the corner of his lips.

Danny? Pure panic and inner conflict.

"Red-light area…? Wait, WAIT. Am I about to lose my 23-year-old virginity? Hmm… maybe it's time now. No—this is training. Purely training! This doesn't count as losing it, right? Even if my body's tainted today, my soul is still a virgin. I'll be innocent in the eyes of the gods!"

Samuel, meanwhile, was halfway into constructing a full-blown fantasy scenario involving action, passion, and duty-bound pleasure.

His grin was sinful.

Maya stood frozen. At first, confused.

Then... she heard it.

Every. Damn. Thought.

Her eye twitched. Her jaw clenched.

She actually considered opening a hell gate just to crawl inside and scream.

I swear… this is why demons win. Because THESE humans are too damn vulnerable.

Snap.

The boys were yanked into the air, ropes of shadow binding them upside down like two shameful sausages.

"Enough!!" Maya barked, face red—not from rage, but secondhand embarrassment. "You horny-brained idiots! I was talking about practicing capturing demons using your powers!"

"D-demons??" Danny squeaked, still upside down.

"Yes! The ones you're supposed to hunt—not fantasize about!" she snapped. "Specifically... the Blissbinders."

Samuel blinked. "...That doesn't sound less seductive, you know."

Maya growled, fire flaring behind her eyes. "Access Hell's Order. Now. Think about the name—Blissbinders. Your system will show you everything."

The boys shut their eyes, mostly from terror.

And then it began—Hell's Order activated again. Data appeared straight into their minds.

Their vision dimmed. Heat surged through their veins. And then—like a silent whisper from beyond—the profile opened:

The boys jolted back to reality—still upside down.

Samuel looked pale. "Okay... so they're like the final boss of every horny anime protagonist's downfall."

Danny mumbled, "So we're hunting demon succubi who want to turn us into dry husks of regret..."

"Exactly," Maya said, releasing them with a flick.

They crashed to the floor, groaning.

"Get ready for tonight," Maya said. "Get some rest. It's going to be a long and wild night of hunting."

Samuel only caught a few of those words.

Long and wild night.

And his brain went straight back into dirty mode.

Maya left the room red-faced, her internal monologue screaming:

Did the Hell Order really make the right choice?!

Later that evening...

The boys were in full drip mode.

Samuel wore his best black jeans and a fitted blazer like he was going clubbing. Danny had on a leather jacket, hair styled like he was auditioning for a boyband. Both of them sprayed cologne like it was demon repellent.

Maya's eye twitched again.

"You two... are not going on a date."

"We're just... trying to be presentable!" Samuel defended.

"For battle," Danny added quickly.

Maya grumbled something ancient under her breath.

They piled into the car.

Halfway into the drive, Maya suddenly barked, "Pull over at that supermarket."

The boys looked at each other—but followed orders.

"Why are we here?" Samuel asked hesitantly. Is the plan canceled? he thought.

"We need something for protection," Maya said calmly, already stepping out.

The word hit their brains like a nuke.

"Protection?" Danny blinked. "She means... protection?"

Samuel's brain short-circuited. "What flavor do you think the demon girls like?"

"I'm thinking... classic? Or mint? Definitely not banana."

They wandered toward the checkout counter where small packs of condoms were clipped to the shelf.

Brows furrowed.Deep philosophical debate.Flavored vs. ribbed.

Maya approached, arms crossed.

"What are you two doing?" she asked flatly.

"We're, uh..." Samuel hesitated. "Trying to decide which one to buy."

"Which... one?"

Danny chimed in. "You said we need protection, right? So we were figuring out which... flavor would be best?"

Maya blinked.Then blinked again.

"What... are you talking about?" she asked.

Samuel scratched the back of his neck. "You know... protection. Condoms."

Maya tilted her head. "What's a condom?"

Then she read it from Samuel's thoughts.

And exploded.

"You absolute IMBECILES!"

She grabbed Samuel by the collar, lifting him into the air with one arm.

The shopkeeper behind the counter had just turned around and froze mid-swipe of a barcode.

He dropped the scanner.

"DID THAT GUY JUST FLOAT?!" the man blurted. "Was he talking to someone?!"

Maya stormed off toward the salt aisle, Samuel still dangling in the air.

"We're buying ROCK SALT, you morons! To mask your aura—not your shame!"

Danny blinked, turned to the shopkeeper—who looked like he was about to faint.

"Oh... you saw him float? Don't worry," Danny said casually. "You can't see her. She's our guardian spirit. A good one. Mostly. She carried him."

The man just stared—pale, speechless. Brain completely fried.

Danny grinned and pulled out his phone. "Check out our channel—D.O.P.E. Department of Paranormal Entities. We're legit. Don't forget to like and subscribe, yeah?"

He jogged after Maya, catching up as she yanked a big bag of Himalayan rock salt off the shelf like she was shopping for spiritual ammo.

She turned to them. "This isn't just regular salt. Rock salt has natural anti-demonic properties. That's why people used it in rituals for centuries. Now that you're linked to Hell's Order, your aura leaks power. It's like blood in the water. Minor demons can sniff you out if you're not careful."

Samuel frowned, rubbing his throat. "So we just carry salt around now?"

"No," Maya said. "Carrying it draws attention. Too much aura buildup. You need to consume a few grains. It blends with your energy. Masks the signal."

Danny blinked. "We're eating salt now?"

"Just a pinch," Maya said. "Too much? You'll trigger alarms. And don't drink water after—dilutes the effect. Mask breaks. You get maybe 20 to 30 minutes, max."

Samuel muttered, "This just keeps getting dumber... and smarter somehow."
