Chapter 9 - Can You Tell Me About Myself?

Cassian leaned in, concern thick in his voice. "Are you alright, Zane? Do you hate vegetables that much? You choked on it."

His eyes looked soft, almost affectionate but I knew better. It was fake. He only cared because he wanted to fuck me sooner. I didn't respond, just gave him a flat look as I wiped my mouth.

Cassian turned toward Simon again, his voice tight. "How long does he have to keep eating this… rabbit food?"

"At least two weeks, Alpha Cassian," Simon replied, giving a slight bow. "Then we can slowly reintroduce denser meals."

Cassian looked back at me, smiling as if he was offering me a gift.

"Did you hear that? Only for a short period. After that, I'll prepare a grand feast for you. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, every day. I'll personally make sure you gain flesh in all the right places."

Oh yeah, I thought bitterly. So you can spread me like butter on bread.

Just how many alphas am I dealing with here?

I am still stuck with dealing with Alfie, the whole soul swap drama and now I'm stuck with Cassian. The more I think about it, I really need to keep Cassian wrapped around my finger as soon as possible especially if he is this obsessed and clearly… sex-deprived.

I took a breath and leaned back, forcing my expression into something softer, something curious.

"Can you tell me about myself, Alpha Cassian?" I asked, my voice quieter this time. I swallowed hard, locking eyes with him. "You know I lost my memories. Since you're the one who claimed to have purchased me at the brothel, I assume you know more than I do. Can you tell me who I am?"

Cassian smiled warmly, setting the soup bowl aside with careful hands. "Oh, yes. Of course, I can."

I didn't stop there.

"And more importantly… you keep mentioning your brothers," I continued, my eyes wide with feigned curiosity. "I've already met Alpha Alfie. And now, you. Just how many brothers do you have, and why exactly did all of you pool together to purchase someone like me? A lowly omega with no background?"

Cassian leaned closer to me and cupped my face with his soft hands, his eyes locking onto mine.

"You don't remember anything at all?" His voice was low and almost mocking. "Just how much suffering did Alfie inflict on you that you even forgot your roots? How pathetic…"

He then released me abruptly, and I flinched as I felt the cold air rush in afterwhich he turned his gaze towards Simon.

"You can leave, but make sure you're here every day to check up on Zane. His condition is so critical I can see." His tone was commanding, almost dismissive. Then, he turned to the female servants who were still lingering by the door. "You can all leave too."

"Yes, Alpha Cassian!" they chorused in unison, quickly filing out of the room, their footsteps echoing down the hallway.

"Yes, Alpha Cassian," Simon echoed, a slight bow accompanying his words. He grabbed his medical box and, after a final glance at me, followed the servants out, closing the door softly behind him. The room fell into silence, leaving just Cassian and me alone.

Cassian's gaze turned back to me, and he leaned forward, elbows on his knees. His tone was dark and filled with cruel amusement as he began speaking.

"Well… you lived at the brothel, but you were treated terribly. You refused to comply with their rules, didn't you?" He watched my face closely, his eyes narrowing. "You refused to serve customers, so they beat you, starved you, and deprived you of everything. How pathetic."

His words stung, but I didn't flinch.

"Although," he continued, a hint of uncertainty flashing across his face, "I'm not sure if the brothel manager ever claimed you. It's a common practice for the manager to be the first to… taste the omegas. But looking at you, I doubt you ever let him. Maybe you didn't. I'm not sure, and now with your memory lost, there's no way to know for certain."

He sighed deeply, the sound heavy with frustration.

"But you don't need to worry about that anymore. The manager, the betas, and every other omega who ever mistreated you, they've all been dealt with."

"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow, my expression one of confusion. "Dealt with? What do you mean?"

Cassian leaned back, his smirk widening as he spoke casually, almost like he was discussing the weather. "They've all been killed, Zane."

The words hit me like a slap while my heart skipped a beat, and a wave of shock washed over me.

"Killed?!" I blurted out before I could stop myself.

"Because they laid a hand on you even after I paid off all your debts," he replied, as though the reasoning was perfectly logical. "After I purchased you, it was only right I end their lives. They didn't deserve to live after what they did to you."

My breath caught in my throat, and I felt a shiver crawl down my spine. He's talking about killing humans… well, werewolves in human form but still… He is talking about it like it was a trivial matter.

He is far more dangerous than I'd imagined.

What a psychopath!

Cassian's gaze darkened, as if sensing my thoughts. "And you asked me to, Zane," he added, his voice low and menacing. "I know you can't remember but you told me to end their lives and I did because you're mine."

My eyes widen open in utter shock and disbelief.

What?!

I asked him to?! I mean the Zane in this world asked him to?!

Before I could speak, Cassian continued. "And i and my five brothers purchased you. I didn't purchase you alone."

My heart stopped.

I recoiled slightly, unable to hide my shock.

"Five brothers?! I...I'm being purchased by five brothers?"

Cassian leaned forward, his voice low and casual, almost as if he was discussing the weather again. "There's no harm in sharing you. After all, you're the perfect breeder, the best I've ever seen. You've got the highest breeding rate I've ever come across. That's why you were beaten and starved. The brothel wanted you to break, but you couldn't be forced into submission. You're too valuable, and they knew it."

He paused for a moment, letting his words sink in. "Some alphas wanted to buy you, but the price they set for you was astronomical. More than they could afford. But when you were brought to me… I saw you, and I liked what I saw. And besides, you begged me to take you with me. You promised to serve me, as long as I bought you out of that hellhole."

Now I'm going crazy!

"I'm one of the Blackwood brothers, the richest family in the Ice moon pack," Cassian continued. "You saw that i could pay and you're right and I also wanted you because of your breeding rate. That's what made you so valuable to me. So I split the cost with my brothers since I couldn't afford to pay alone. The price was outrageous hence we all chipped in."

My mouth remained widen open.

Cassian's smile widened, his eyes gleaming with an unsettling mixture of excitement and possessiveness. "And now, we're in a competition to see who claims you first. To see who can put a baby inside you first. After all, you're enough to bear offspring for all five of us."

I felt blood drain from my face at the absurdity of the whole scenerio.
