Zane's POV
I stood frozen in place, still facing Silas, watching as his gaze remained locked on me with an unreadable expression. A faint, playful smile lingered on his lips, one that made me shift uneasily.
What are we even doing right now?
A staring contest, apparently.
Neither of us spoke, just stood there...eyes locked, breaths held as if waiting for the other to blink or break the silence first.
Ping!
The loud chime of Silas's phone shattered the tension. He turned abruptly and rushed to grab it, his sudden urgency making it feel like something serious. Curiosity pulled me after him before I could stop myself, wanting to assess the situation.
To my surprise, he was on a live stream.
I leaned in slightly, eyes scanning the flood of comments that raced across the screen.
> "Is that your lover, Alpha Silas?"
"He's so handsome!"
"Let him do the cooking video with you!"
