Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A Roll of Fate

Darkness. That was the last thing Ryuji Kuroda saw before his life came to an abrupt end.

One moment, he was walking home from another exhausting day at university, mind occupied with thoughts of exams, anime, and the nagging feeling that life was painfully monotonous. The next, an out-of-control truck barreled down the street, its blaring horn freezing him in place. Before he could even react, the world went black.

"...Seriously? Truck-kun?" Ryuji groaned as his consciousness resurfaced in what could only be described as a vast, endless void.

A soft chuckle echoed through the emptiness. "Ah, yes. The ever-reliable cosmic clean-up method. Works every time."

Ryuji turned towards the voice, his body—or rather, whatever form he now existed in—shivering instinctively. Before him stood an elderly man draped in regal robes, his very presence exuding an aura of authority and mischief.

"Welcome, young one. I am what you mortals like to call 'ROB'—Random Omnipotent Being. And you, my dear unfortunate soul, have been selected for a special opportunity."

Ryuji raised an eyebrow. "Let me guess. I'm dead, and now you're going to send me to another world?"

ROB smirked. "Sharp one, aren't you? Yes, that is precisely the case. Your soul has potential, and rather than let it go to waste, I've decided to give you a second chance."

A massive, golden wheel materialized beside them, glowing with an ethereal light. Each section was labeled with the name of a different world—Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Fairy Tail, High School DxD, Overlord, Danmachi, and many more.

"You don't get to choose where you go," ROB continued, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Fate will decide. Give it a spin."

Ryuji hesitated, but what choice did he have? He reached out and grasped the wheel, giving it a firm spin. The wheel rotated rapidly, the names of countless worlds blurring together. His heart pounded in anticipation. Seconds stretched into eternity until, finally, the wheel slowed.

Click. Click. Click...

The pointer landed firmly on—High School DxD.

ROB grinned. "Ah, an interesting world indeed. Full of devils, angels, fallen, and the constant chaos of perverted high school antics. But don't worry, I'm not throwing you in without a little help."

With a snap of his fingers, a glowing blue screen appeared before Ryuji, displaying two abilities:

1. Enhanced Intelligence – Your mind operates at a level far beyond human limitations, allowing you to process information, strategize, and adapt with unparalleled efficiency.

2. Extreme Growth – Your ability to improve is limitless. No matter the skill, magic, or combat technique, as long as you put in the effort, your growth will be nothing short of monstrous.

Ryuji's breath caught in his throat. No instant god-tier power, no broken abilities—just intelligence and potential. But as he thought about it, a grin spread across his face. With these, he could become the strongest. No shortcuts, just relentless growth.

"I like it," he admitted.

ROB chuckled. "Glad to hear it. Now then, off you go! Try not to die too soon."

Before Ryuji could reply, a force pulled him downward, his vision fading as reality itself seemed to warp around him.

And just like that, his new life began.
