Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : SERA... Hero Academy?

"Okay," he whispered, eyes fixed on the device. "Let's see what secrets you've got hidden inside."

Henry stared at the pile on the bed, his brows furrowing deeper with every passing second.

"What the heck!" he blurted out, clearly irritated. "Whose stuff is this?"

Laid neatly on the bed was a crisp white shirt and a pair of black pants, both freshly pressed, as if waiting for someone important. Alongside them was a silver chain with a pendant shaped like a bird in mid-flight—its wings stretched out gracefully, crafted with intricate detail. It shimmered like it was made of pure silver, catching the sterile room's light with a subtle glow.

Beside it was a sleek armband—metallic, futuristic, with a faintly pulsing blue line that ran along its edges. It looked like something pulled straight out of a sci-fi movie, and Henry stared at it like it might explode any second.

"This can't be my stuff," he said, half to himself, half to the universe. "They just gave me someone else's bag and thought I wouldn't notice?"

He picked up the shirt in frustration, only to pause as his eyes landed on the left breast pocket.

There, stitched with fine silver thread, was a bold insignia—a stylized eagle in flight, talons extended as if ready to strike.

Below it were the words:

SERA Hero Academy

Henry's grip loosened slightly as he whispered, "SERA... Hero Academy? What in the actual..."

His voice trailed off as possibilities rushed into his mind like a flood. Some sort of superhero school? Was he part of a program? A recruit? Or worse—was this all part of the twisted experiment they'd been running on him?

He glanced at the bird-shaped locket again. It looked… meaningful. Symbolic.

And it only raised more questions.

Henry sank back onto the bed, holding the shirt in his lap, and stared at the words stitched on it as a strange chill ran down his spine.

"Okay," he muttered. "What the hell have I gotten myself into?"

Henry read the words printed on the shirt and murmured,

"Hero Academy… that sounds familiar."

A furrow appeared on his forehead. He tried to recall, eyes narrowing in concentration. Then, as if a cloud lifted from his memory, a spark lit in his eyes.

"Yes! That's the name… from Planet Conquest — that famous novel. There was an academy by this name that trained future heroes."

He gave a faint smile, shaking his head slowly.

"Looks like that novel really blew up… now they're even selling merchandise based on it."

He looked again at the white shirt and black pants lying neatly on the bed.

"This looks exactly like the school uniform the protagonist wore. Maybe I should look up Planet Conquest… perhaps they made an anime or show based on it."

Tapping on his smartwatch, he chuckled,

"And this watch too—probably inspired by the same thing. That novel must have gone viral."

He began searching for Planet Conquest on the watch's browser. Within seconds, several sites popped up.

Each site was loaded with detailed information about different planets, monsters, and advanced technology.

"Wow…" Henry muttered in surprise.

"Everything is so detailed… but there's nothing about a show or series. Strange. If the novel was that famous, just typing the protagonist's name should've brought up tons of results."

He refined his search: Justin of Planet Conquest.

But again, the results were disappointing. No character bios, no fan pages, nothing. His excitement started to fade, and he muttered under his breath,

"Something's not right…"

He glanced back at the uniform. Then, with a hunch, he typed: SERA Hero Academy.

This time, what came up was nothing like before.

There were full records—when the academy was founded, who the founder was, who the current principal is, how many students are enrolled, and where the academy's campuses are located. Everything was listed in astonishing detail, as if from an official government archive.

Henry scratched his head, genuinely puzzled.

"This… this doesn't feel like part of a show or novel. This feels… real."

He looked at the clock, then noticed a window in the room.

He walked toward it, pulled back the curtain, and looked outside.

What he saw was a gleaming, futuristic city. Tall buildings, sleek cars moving through clean streets. But it was the people that caught his attention.

Some wore strange clothes—carrying swords, spears, even bows. Their outfits resembled those of warriors heading into battle.

Henry stepped back from the window, took a deep breath, and whispered to himself,

"Am I… in another world?

A world based on the Planet Conquest novel?"

Henry looked back down at his smartwatch and tapped the screen again. Instantly, a holographic interface projected into the air in front of him, glowing softly like a sci-fi dream come to life.

His eyes scanned the floating menu of applications, each icon unfamiliar and strange—except one.

There it was.

A logo—identical to the one on the uniform folded neatly on his bed. It matched perfectly. The app's name read: SERA.

Without hesitation, Henry tapped on it.

The application launched, displaying an interface that looked like it belonged to a futuristic school management system. The header bore the name SERA Hero Academy, and the dashboard was filled with information—course modules, training routines, combat records, and notices.

A notification panel on the side blinked softly, showing unread updates and alerts. But Henry ignored them for now. He navigated to the Profile section, his fingers moving cautiously across the virtual interface.

And then he saw it.

His profile appeared on the screen, shocking him into silence.

Name: Daniel Johnson

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Class: C2

Rank: 581

Combat Ability: 1

Mana: 1

Element: Fire

Level: 1

Henry's brows furrowed.

"Daniel Johnson…?"

He blinked, rereading the name.

That wasn't his name. That wasn't who he was.

But the system—this world—it believed otherwise.

"Looks like… I really am someone else now," he whispered, staring at the floating stats.

"A beginner... with barely any power."

He exhaled slowly.

"Fire element, huh?"

A flicker of curiosity sparked in his eyes—an ember ready to ignite.
