Chapter 8: Fighting the Six Trash
Seeing the cold sweat on John Wick's head, Smith smiled but said nothing.
At this moment, Fox was complaining inwardly that this guy Smith was really good at deceiving people. Since when did the mission of the Assassin Fraternity become investigation and guidance? But then again, is there really such a thing as Dragon Balls? Can any wish really come true?
Why does John Wick believe it so firmly? Is it because of that crystal ball?
John Wick ignored the sweat on his forehead and asked, "I... I just want to revive my wife, Helen."
"Also, did I pass your observation?"
Smith Doyle smiled and said, "You're still under observation and assessment."
After getting this answer, John Wick stood up and said, "I hope I can pass your inspection, but now I need to take care of my personal affairs."
John Wick had to settle the matter concerning his dog and car. These were the treasures Helen left him. He knew that if he gave up halfway, on the one hand, he might not pass the inspection, and on the other hand, even if he stopped, Viggo and his son Iosef Tarasov would be stumbling blocks to his future actions.
Smith Doyle nodded and said gently, "Go and take care of your personal affairs. Your assessment is still ongoing."
"Thanks."
After thanking him, John Wick left Smith's room.
Once the door was closed and he made sure there was no one outside, Fox looked Smith up and down.
"GOD, are you telling the truth?"
Smith smiled and said, "Part of it."
Fox widened his eyes, then asked in shock, "So the Dragon Ball thing is true?"
Seeing Smith nod in agreement, Fox was still shocked even though he had guessed it in his mind.
"As for the rest," Smith added, "I think it will soon become true."
Fox was silent for a few seconds, then asked, "If it's true, don't you want to make a wish or something?"
Smith shook his head. "I don't need it."
Fox opened his mouth to say something but stopped. After a few seconds of silence, he said, "As expected of our God, your realm is too high."
Seeing Fox's confused look, Smith did not explain. After all, the Dragon Balls were created based on his power. He did not have any wishes to fulfill. Shenlong could not do anything that he couldn't achieve with his own power, and he didn't need Shenlong for things he could do himself. With his foresight of the Marvel Universe, he already had the upper hand.
Smith took out his cell phone and called Winston. The call connected within a few seconds.
"Smith, it is extremely rude to call an elderly person at this hour."
Hearing Winston's voice on the phone, Smith smiled, without the slightest embarrassment, and said directly, "Winston, someone has violated the rules of the Continental Hotel."
"As a kind person, I will help you clean up the garbage."
After hearing Smith's words, Winston sat up from his bed, now fully awake. He asked in a very serious tone, "Are you sure she violated the rules of the Continental Hotel?"
"What on earth did she do?"
Smith glanced at Perkins, who was sitting in the chair, and then said, "Perkins set her sights on John Wick's bounty and launched an assassination attempt directly inside the hotel."
"I think the surveillance in the hallway will give you all the information."
After saying that, Smith Doyle took out a pistol and shot Perkins in the head.
Pah!
There was a gunshot, and a bullet went straight through Perkins' head, killing her instantly.
Hearing the gunshot from the other end of the phone, Winston was silent for three seconds, then said, "I see."
Smith hung up the phone and said directly, "I didn't want to watch her till dawn. We have other things to do."
Fox rolled her eyes and said, "You figured out that she was awake a long time ago and eavesdropped on our conversation."
Smith nodded. "That violently beating heart already betrayed her. It seems the news about the Dragon Balls is really exciting."
"We'll also go to Little Russia to see what John Wick does next."
Smith Doyle then took Fox away from the Continental Hotel. Not long after the two left, Winston brought his men to room 819, checked both rooms, and took away Perkins' body.

It was still dark when Smith Doyle brought Fox to the vicinity of the church in Little Russia. This was an important stronghold of the Russian gangster Viggo Tarasov – a place where evidence of bribery, leverage over politicians, and cash were stored. It could be considered a very important location.
After arriving, the two scouted the area around the church and found the warehouse where John Wick was suspected to be imprisoned. Finally, they chose a relatively hidden rooftop with a good view to wait.
······
Daytime arrived.
Fox held a telescope and saw John Wick walking into the church carrying a large canvas bag.
"Smith, John is here."
Snap. Snap. Snap.
Accompanied by several gunshots, the Baba Yaga began his killing show.
At this time, Smith Doyle took out the second-generation combat effectiveness detector from the system backpack, put it on, and began to observe.
Power levels: 4, 5, 5, 4, 3.
"It's strange to find Russian gang members with such weak combat capabilities," Smith mused.
"Show me how much John Wick can fight."
Power level: 6. Unexpectedly high.
"It's actually a little higher than 5," Smith noted.
John Wick fired several shots in succession, each shot fatal. The whole process was smooth, without any nonsense or unnecessary movements, giving it a special kind of lethal charm. He wasn't like some idiots who had to monologue before killing someone, or even show affection on the battlefield – simply nonsense.
It was John Wick's decisive killing style that made Smith willing to bring Fox to watch this deadly performance.
Fox was now full of curiosity about the device Smith was wearing. She stopped paying attention to the killing below and started asking, "Smith, what is that thing you have on? I've never seen it before."
Smith pointed to the detector and said, "This is a combat power detector. It can observe the target's energy signature and indicate a person's combat power through numerical values."
