Chapter 11 - Eh?

"EHHHH??!"

"Huh?!" everyone exclaimed, clearly surprised by her unexpected words.

"Seriously?" Grimrose asked, visibly taken aback by the situation. In the original novel, Susan had never accepted a disciple, and even Ethan was not deemed worthy of her tutelage.

"Yes!" Susan replied with a bright and enthusiastic beam.

"But what specific benefits would I receive if I were to become your disciple? You are aware that I am a prince, and my father holds significant power," Grimrose inquired, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"I will give you everything that I own, and I will teach you everything that I know," Susan stated, her eyes glistening with sincerity.

"Whoa!" Grimrose exclaimed, completely surprised by her genuine offer. He blurted out, "Okay!"

"Alright," Grimrose said as he knelt down to greet his new master respectfully. "I, Grimrose Dawnstar of Arcadia, the sole heir and crowned prince, greet my master with the utmost respect."

"Hehehe," Susan said, beaming with excitement. She immediately announced to the entire world that Grimrose was now her disciple.

"Cough, cough," Susan fake-coughed as she looked directly into the orb, which allowed them to broadcast their announcement to the world. "I, Susan, the headmistress of Slayer Academy, hereby accept Grimrose Dawnstar as my sole disciple and heir."

"What the..." the students exclaimed in unison, and the professors were equally shocked and surprised by her unexpected words.

"Hmm, now that we have already made the announcement, you may return to your respective dormitories. We will announce the official rankings tomorrow," Susan stated. Then, turning her attention to Grimrose, she added, "Hehe, hello, my dear Rose!"

"Rose?" Grimrose asked, clearly surprised by the sudden and unexpected nickname.

"Yes, you shine brightly like a beautiful flower, so let us call you Rose," she said, offering a beautiful and radiant smile.

"Okay, Master, may I go now? I am feeling quite tired," Grimrose said, carefully observing her face.

"Yes, please meet me at my office after class tomorrow," she said with evident happiness.

*Grimrose pov*

As Grimrose walked back to his room, he checked his status and saw a new message:

• As a reward for achieving rank 1, the cosmos has granted you your past powers. These powers are echoes of abilities from your previous lives.

• Innate power:

- Cosmos Incarnation: This power allows you to use abilities from your past lives. The strength and variety of these abilities depend on the number of lives you've lived.

"Wow," Grimrose thought, shocked. He realized he'd lived many lives. "So I've lived more than two lives? That weird dude was right. But how do I use this ability?"

He was at his front door as he pondered this.

"Okay, I'll figure it out tomorrow. I'll assign the room and then use the private training ground I won for 1st place," he said. He stepped inside and was greeted by Lia.

"Welcome home, Master," she said happily.

"Yes, Lia, I'm back. Come here," he said, reaching to hug her.

"Master, did you really accept the headmistress as your master?" she asked, worried.

"Yes."

"Master, do you want to eat first, a bath, or...?" She stopped, embarrassed.

"Lia, you know I love you, right?" he said teasingly.

"I know, but it's embarrassing," she said.

"Ok, then I'll eat first."

"Huh?" Lia was saddened, but Grimrose sealed her lips with a kiss.

"Sorry, Lia, I'm tired, so I wouldn't do it today," said Grimrose as he walked to the kitchen.

"Hehehe," Lia was happy, so she caught up to Grimrose and said, "Master, let me feed you."

...

After taking a bath, Grimrose went to sleep. "Goodnight, Lia," Grimrose said lovingly.

"Goodnight, Master," said Lia, full of love.
