Chapter one
"Miss Peters,I'm really sorry but your mother needs to go into surgery,but before that part of her bills must be paid to commence treatments." Mrs Smith,the doctor said .
"But,I don't even know where to get that amount of money from,I'm just a senior in highschool,it's not like I own a company."Lisa said .
"If there is no down payment,I can't commence treatments on her,and I'm sure you know that, even if I want to, your mom already owes this hospital a lot of bills,there is nothing much I can do to help."
Lisa walked out of the hospital,like a mentally deranged patient,how in the world is she going to find Three million dollars,it's not like money grows on trees.
Lisa walked down the street and took a turn that lead to the restaurant she worked part-time.
"You are late again, Lisa."
"I'm so sorry Mrs Williams."
"Better be,now table 23 needs a waitress."
Lisa walked to the table and was getting their orders when her phone rang,it was the hospital.
The book and pen in her hand dropped to the floor as she started running wildly towards the hospital remembering why the hospital called 'Miss Peters,you mother's heart condition is worsening and very dire,I think she could already be dying.'
Lisa walked into the hospital and met Mrs Smith.
"I gave her some pills but they won't last long you need to bring the down payment,so as to commence surgery on her."
"Okay ma'am, I'll see what I can do."
"Hurry,her life is at stake."
Lisa walked to the balcony of that floor room, looking so devastated and helpless.
She saw an old man,he should probably be in his Late sixties.
"Hello sir, good day sir." Lisa greeted
"Oh my,how are you?" The man asked .
"I see you also have your head full too,I come here most times to think too."
"Yes sir."
"That's good."
Another man probably in his Late twenties walked in,he looked at her bluntly and drove the wheelchair out of there.
"Grandson, isn't she just so beautiful,her hazel coloured eyes really compliments her brown hair,she has such a delicate figure fit for a wife, don't you think."
" Grandpa, please don't start ."
" You can't run forever,I want grandkids before I die,at least for me to know that the Vladimir Guerrero family has an heir ."
" You will,but I'm not just ready."
" You are not and never will be,if not pushed,you and I know very much the reason why."
" I know."
" Pick her ,she is quite suitable and I already like her."
As soon as Blake left the ward,he spoke to his personal assistant to run a background check on the girl he saw that day,before he left the hospital,he was already provided with her information,She came from a poor home,her mother has a list of debts to settle and she also has a heart disease,she is supposed to undergo surgery but there is no made down payment.
Blake finished reading her information,he raised his head up,and saw her walking out of the hospital clutching her leather bag tightly .
Blake walked up to her.
"Can we go out for lunch?" Blake asked .
"Ummm ." Lisa said ,scared of him and not knowing what to do but from his rich demeanor,she could try to beg him to help her so she agreed "yes,we can."
Lisa and Blake walked into an elegant restaurant a few steps from the hospital.They walked to the VIP section of the restaurant and a waiter came to attend to them as soon as possible,after Lisa and Blake had placed their orders,Blake waved his fingers,and another man clad in black suit brought a paperwork.
He gently tossed it to Lisa,a d she read the heading"Contract wife."..."No way."
"What do you mean no way." Blake asked.
"I cannot be your so called wife,I'm still a highschool student,I can't do this."
"You didn't finish reading it,it covers you mom's treatment and debts owed,and can also get you into college,the contract is just for a year,and after that, we'll get divorced and you'll have five mansions and one of my companies."
Lisa thought at the back of her mind,and considered it to be a win-win situation but she still refused.
"No ,I won't take it."
Lisa stood up to leave,when her phone rang.
"Lisa,the pills aren't effective anymore, I'll have to commence treatments on her now."
Lisa turned back to Blake with teary eyes, alright I'll sign the contract just help me save my mom.
Blake accompanied her to the hospital and paid all the necessary bills,for her mother's treatment and she was already taken into the surgery room.
Lisa sat in the waiting room with Blake as she read what the so-called contract entailed.
" No poknosing to my personal affairs
No touching or trying to get intimate with me
No working part-time jobs.... that's all."
" Yeah,you can't cope with it."
" oh no I'm completely fine with it."
Lisa signed the contract,gave it back to Blake and he left .
Lisa sat down with her head in her hands,she couldn't believe she just got married to someone,and not the grand wedding she had been expecting and to worsen it all, it's not someone she loves or someone who loves her.
