Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: This Is the Ultimate Romance for Men

"Ahem, sister, I've been toying with an idea recently. Want to team up and create some fascinating magic tools?"

Alhaitham changed the topic decisively.

The moment Agnes heard the words magic tools, her eyes sparkled with excitement, instantly captivated.

"Eh? A magic tool designed by you, Alhaitham? That's awesome! I'm totally in! What kind of tool is it exactly?"

"Well, I've been thinking... something like a compact long-range weapon with high destructive power. I'm getting a little bored of swords lately. Hold on, I'll sketch a blueprint for you."

Though it sounded like he was trying to divert the conversation, it was still tied to serious work.

Alhaitham hadn't forgotten about his plan to switch weapons. While he already possessed the mightiest blade—like the EA Deli Sword—it was simply too powerful, noisy, and consumed far too much energy to be used as a regular weapon. It lacked subtlety and flexibility.

Taking out a piece of parchment, he quickly sketched out a rough design. In his past life, he had read countless books about firearms. From all those options, he selected the most potent and iconic revolver.

The M500 revolver.

A monster of a gun. It fired 0.50-inch Magnum high-powered pistol rounds. That's 12.7 mm in caliber—double the kinetic energy of the infamous Desert Eagle. It wasn't so much a handgun as it was a portable cannon.

[Originally, I could make it myself... but the firepower just isn't enough. I keep feeling like it can be pushed further. There's still room for improvement.]

He remembered every detail of its construction vividly. While this world's craftsmanship lagged behind his previous one, it had something that world lacked—magic-infused minerals. Materials like Mithril, Oriha Gang, and Elf Stone could serve as excellent substitutes for steel. Using them for the revolver's construction could elevate its strength and power far beyond the original.

Alhaitham's heart surged with anticipation.

This was his ambition—to fuse science and magic, and craft the greatest firearm in history.

"Wow... it looks like a truly amazing weapon! Alhaitham, you're making this for...?"

"Romance! I'm doing this for the sake of romance!" he answered without a moment's hesitation.

Sure, enhancing his arsenal was a factor. But the real reason?

What kind of man doesn't dream about wielding a ridiculously powerful gun?

"…Hmm. Since it's for romance, I guess there's no helping it. Got it. I'll give it my all!"

Agnes nodded solemnly, accepting this seemingly absurd reason without question.

After all, this one-of-a-kind princess was also someone who lived for romance... a girl chasing dreams.

She had given up her right to inherit the throne just to focus on her magical inventions. She had publicly declared her intention to remain single for life, refusing any political marriage proposals.

Granted, Alhaitham's achievements probably outshone hers—if the King ever found out the truth, he might cough up blood on the spot. But Alhaitham was good at hiding things. He never got caught or reprimanded.

Agnes, on the other hand? She made no attempt to conceal her wild antics.

Just recently, she launched herself into a wall using a Wind Elf Stone while trying to simulate flight. During etiquette class, the dance instructor found a forbidden grimoire tucked beneath her skirt. And she even went as far as registering as an adventurer at the guild to hunt magical beasts herself—just for research materials.

She had become the King's number-one headache. The source of chaos for all races. The unprecedented princess.

These days, the Royal Knights' main duty had shifted from guarding the palace to babysitting her. Whenever she escaped, their mission was to track her down, detain her, and haul her back home.

After staring at the sketch in her hand for a while, Agnes's eyes began to tremble.

"Alhaitham... are you a genius?"

She couldn't stop staring at the design. Her breathing became rapid, completely lacking any grace, and the ahoge on her head stood up straight.

"What a masterpiece. This thing could blow traditional bows and arrows out of the water. And it's purely mechanical!"

But... it could still be improved!

Her expression grew focused.

Ideas exploded in her mind like fireworks. Her body tingled with excitement.

She had to try!

Like using attribute-specific elf stones as ammunition—fire-elemental bullets, water, lightning, and so on. The elemental reactions alone would be insane!

The gun frame could be reinforced with Mithril or Oriha Gang, allowing it to fire stronger bullets without breaking. It could also extend firing capacity and heat resistance.

"Sister, you look... extremely excited."

"Of course! I can't wait to start building this magical weapon!"

"Really? I'm glad you like it. Oh, by the way, I also have some thoughts on flying…"

With a smile, Alhaitham shared some of the scattered knowledge he still remembered from his previous life—concepts like lift, thrust, air resistance, and basic aerodynamics.

Agnes screamed with joy, "My Alhaitham is the greatest in the world!!!"

She lunged at him, hugging him tightly and hopping around like an overjoyed child. Never before had she felt so exhilarated.

She had always dreamed of flying with her own magic tool—but now, with Alhaitham's help, that dream felt real and attainable.

It could work! They could actually pull this off!

"Ahem, sister… don't get too excited."

Alhaitham was unmoved by her affection. In his eyes, she was still just a little girl. He mentally told her to come back once she'd matured a bit more.

Then, he cleared his throat again and took out another massive blueprint.

Agnes was stunned the moment she saw it.

"Th-this… What is this?!"

"This," he said dramatically, "is the ultimate romance. Every man's dream. Sister, can you make it happen?"

Agnes stared at the drawing with trembling hands, pupils dilated.

"Alhaitham… give me three years. No—maybe five. Maybe, just maybe... it can be done!"

"Great. Then let's do it!"

Alhaitham was practically glowing with anticipation. He gazed down at the blueprint with pride and awe. Something that had only ever existed in his dreams—something completely impossible in his previous world—might now actually become reality.

Yes... people need to have dreams.

Because without dreams, what are we really chasing?

Alhaitham: "This prince just wants to pilot a Gundam in another world!!!"

This was no ordinary blueprint.

It was a design for a Gundam.
