Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The Eclipse Syndicate

The floating hollow blades members charge at Kai using Aether enhancement to increase their speed. Kai Prepared for the the attack. Kai: "bring it you filthy rats." The hollow blades break their formation, the commander coming directly at Kai and the other two breaking to Kai's sides. The commander flings a kick but Kai deflects it. Kai then counters with a jab to the jaw, which is caught by the second hollow blade member. All of the members simultaneously throw punches at Kai. They all begin beating him. After a few minutes, Kai collapses to his knees, his nose dripping with blood. Hollow blade commander: "Pathetic, you don't even know how to use your Aether." Kai: "Shut the hell up... You dirty piece of trash!" The commander steps closer to Kai, his hand glowing with Aether. Hollow blade commander: "I'm a dirty piece of trash that can actually use his power" the commander grabs Kai's hair, forcing him to his feet and then using his Aether infused hand to draw out the Eclipse shard that was within Kai. This makes him wince in pain and after a few seconds go limp. Commander: "Absolute joke!" The Hollow blades fly back into the split sky which shuts after their departure, leaving a dead Kai limp on the ground. Kai lies on the gound until a mysterious, hooded Eclipser that appears to be in his twenties approaches the breathless boy. ???: "wow they socked you... And they stole your shard. Those hollow blades are real disrespectful." He harnesses a bit of Aether and brings a heart beat back into Kai's chest. Kai: "Huh? How am I still..." ???: " Hey there buddy. I'm Lysander. You really got socked huh" Kai: "shut it!" Lysander: "No on a serious note you aren't going to survive a world like this without training. Hmmmm... I would recommend the Twilight order if they weren't a gang of outlaws. You know I'm actually a former member of the Twilight order." Kai: "Do you ever shut up?! All of these dumb factions! Their all a bunch of morons!" Lysander: "Here's a crazy idea... How about I go scouting for young Eclipsers and..." Kai cuts him off "that's definitely a crazy idea... I refuse to start a faction with you" Lysander: "Oh c'mon. I literally just resurrected you buddy" Kai: " I don't care! I never asked you resurrect me!" Lysander: "I'll even ask Rhea to help you with your Aether mastery." Kai: "You know about Rhea?" Lysander: "Uh huh, and I know that you find her quite..." Kai attempts to hide a blush before agreeing to Lysander's proposal Kai: "Alright, alright. Just shut up already!" After a week Lysander buys a little facility. The recruits involved the 4 children that Kai saved during the fracture beast attack, Rhea, Zara (Zara is one of Kai's female childhood mates. Kai and Zara were separated after brawl between their families) and Elder Seran. Rhea: "I heard that you died and got your shard stolen." Kai: "yeah" Rhea:"looks like the elder has got his work cut out for him" Rhea walks off. Kai walks up to Zara but isn't able to say anything. After a few minutes of awkward silence between the two, Zara removes her scarf and finally speak "I'm sorry... about how my parents treated you and your family back then." Kai: "no Zara, I deserved it. I tore your favourite scarf and got your dog killed." The two hug but Lysander rushes to Kai, Lysander: "I almost forgot the most important thing about a faction!" Both Kai and Zara are confused. Lysander: "the name stupid!" Kai: "oh. I was thinking we could name it... The Aether Kings" Lysander: "that's dumb we should name it the... standard Eclipsers" the two argue for a bit until Zara speaks "We should name it... The Eclipse Syndicate!" Lysander: "Sure" Kai: "that checks out"
