Chapter 12 - ~DAEMUN CLASSIFICATION~

~THE THREE TYPES OF DAEMUN CLASSIFICATION~

Low-Class Daemun: Tier 1 - 3 (Receiving 1 - 3 Bronze Stars)

Middle-Class Daemun: Tier 4 - 6 (Receiving 1 - 3 Silver Stars)

High-Class Daemun: 7 - 10 (Receiving 1 - 3 Gold Stars)

~ ENTITY 003 ~

Daemun (Dark Entity 003) Classification: Tier 6. (3 Silver Stars).

003 is commonly referred to as a Fyre Hound. In DRENGR'VERE, the character "y" is pronounced as "ea" as in the English word "fear", which is what this Daemun is known for and how it got its name.

DESCRIPTION: 003 is a Daemun with long black fur, three red eyes, and an oddity of either two tails or six legs. 003 is wolf-like in appearance, and, being a formless entity, 003 cannot be seen unless it has been summoned and is wearing a mask.

Adult males weigh an average of 95kg(209lb) and are an average of 1.75m(5.7 feet) tall from head to toe. Adult females weigh an average of 80kg(176lb) and have an average height of 1.75m(5.7 feet). Females are slimmer than their male counterparts and just as dangerous.

The Daemun's front legs are long and thin, and its two front feet resemble human hands, with four, sometimes five, fingers equipped with sharp retractable claws and a thumb. 003 uses its front paws to latch onto its prey tightly and its sharp claws to rip out its prey's intestines.

003 produces a high-pitched click at the back of its throat, which has the distinct sound of snapping bones. 003 uses this click to terrify its prey. 003's clicks are unsettling, eerie, and overall designed to make its prey uncomfortable. 003 has full control over the pitch, tone, and volume of its clicking, and can often trick its prey into thinking that it is further away than it is or change the sound of snapping bones to something resembling the inner working mechanisms of an old clock, reminding its prey that it is only a matter of time before they die and get ripped apart by 003.

At top speed, 003 runs an average of 55km/h(34.19mph). Indefinitely. It never gets tired and does not require rest. It is a relentless predator.

003's hunting method is primarily focused on smell. It is capable of smelling prey over 10km(6.21 miles) away and can even track its prey under the water. 003 can swim better than most of its prey.

NOTEWORTHY OBSERVATIONS: It will not attack unless its presence is known. 003 will announce itself either by clicking or touching the prey with one of its front paws. In the event in which the prey flees, 003 will not pursue the prey with the intent to kill, but instead, 003 will amuse itself by toying with its victims.

003's main source of food is fear, so it will do whatever is necessary to ensure its victims stay afraid of it for as long as possible.

After its victim is dead, 003 will rip its corpse apart; however, 003 will not consume its flesh or any part of the victim's body. The Daemun does not digest flesh and lacks the stomach to do so. Instead, 003 will smear the blood and guts of its victim all over its body and absorb the dead's accumulated fear through its skin. 003 consumes the remnants of its prey's emotions still left behind after they have passed.

003 will often hunt with others of its kind unless they are from a separate clan. They are not territorial, and clan wars are not tied to territory or prey but are rather tied to the Cains, who are viewed as their rulers. Wars between clans are fought for the right to serve the Cains. 003 can be found anywhere on Ri'elle and Ataraxia'a.

003 is capable of speech, however, they rarely choose to converse. The only time they wish to be heard is when they are clicking.

TERMINATION: 003 cannot be killed. They can only be sent back to the nether, Ataraxia'a, when their masks have been broken. Of course, when 003 is not summoned and present in the flesh, shattering their crystal will weaken them, but they will not die. They will roam the nether until their crystal regrows, which can take anywhere from a hundred years up to a thousand, depending on the mana density.

SUMMONING: 003 can be summoned by engraving the Daemun's full name in DRENGR'VERE onto the skull of a deceased wolf.

The skull must be soaked in white water (this is water blessed by Ataraxia'a, the queen of Daemun, and the goddess of war), dipped in fyre salts (ash left behind from fire spirits after burning ashwood), and boiled in daesmyr oil (extracted from daesmyrahn tree roots that grow in a dry and desolate terrain such as Ski'Mar) before the Daemun's name is engraved.

The blood of the Daemun is required when engraving its name into the bone mask. It is the most important ingredient and the most difficult to obtain.

When summoning, the summoner circles their blood over the name of the Daemun and speaks its name in a loud and clear voice.

When the summoner's blood mixes with the Daemun, a contract is temporarily formed, and the entity is summoned. It will attach itself to the blood on the mask, using it as its vessel, and a body will materialize underneath it.

When the mask is damaged, specifically the summoning circle underneath it, the entity will return to the nether, and its materialized body will turn to ash.

~MAEVE~

N'Maeyes Maevyrnn Demicaux.
