Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Last Read

Shredder had always been a fan of anime, and for years, Naruto had held a special place in his heart. But now, as he read the latest chapter of Boruto, his love for the series was starting to wither away. The new generation didn't have the same fire that the old cast did, and Boruto felt like a cheap imitation.

"How could they mess this up?" he muttered to himself, his fingers flying over the keyboard as he furiously typed out a post on an online forum. The frustration had been building for a while now, and the latest developments in the series were the final straw. He just couldn't understand why the story had lost its magic.

But as he was typing, an unexpected noise made him pause. It was a deep, rumbling growl. He turned, looking around the room, but saw nothing unusual.

"Is that a… lion?" he thought, frowning. The growl grew louder, closer, and then there was a crashing sound from the window.

Before he could react, the beast pounced. A lion—wild and massive—had somehow broken into his apartment. Its claws raked across his body, and pain surged through him as the beast closed in.

Shredder barely had time to process what was happening. The world around him blurred, his vision going dark as the lion's jaws snapped around his neck. Then, everything faded.

When Shredder regained consciousness, he found himself lying on his back, his mind spinning. The first thing he noticed was the sky—an unfamiliar shade of blue that didn't quite look right. As he tried to sit up, he felt a strange weight on his body, his limbs feeling different.

"Where… am I?" he muttered, his voice hoarse. The ground beneath him was soft, but it didn't feel like the carpet he was used to. The air was thick with the scent of pine and earth. This was no ordinary place.

He pushed himself up, feeling disoriented as his hands touched the ground. His fingers were covered in strange gloves, and when he glanced down, his body was different—he was wearing a ninja's outfit, with a headband tied to his forehead. His hair felt longer, spikier, and his posture felt strangely familiar yet foreign.

Shredder blinked in confusion. His reflection in the nearby stream confirmed his worst fear. He wasn't in his body anymore.

He was in Kakashi Hatake's body.

"No way…" Shredder gasped, his voice thick with disbelief. "This can't be real…"

He stood up, trying to take it all in. The world around him—the trees, the distant mountains, the thick foliage—was unmistakably the world of Naruto. But how? How had this happened? Was he dreaming? Had he been reincarnated?

Suddenly, a realization hit him, and his heart skipped a beat. The last thing he remembered was reading Boruto… and then dying at the hands of a lion. But now, he was here, in the body of one of the most famous ninjas to ever exist in the Naruto universe.

"Well, I guess I'm stuck here," he said, his voice now laced with uncertainty and awe. "But if I'm Kakashi… I have some big shoes to fill."

As the wind rustled through the trees, Shredder—now Kakashi—took a deep breath and prepared for whatever adventures this new life had in store. The world of ninjas awaited him, and he was about to find out if this new life was a blessing or a curse.
