Day 29, month 12, year 1500
Border
Forest of the Silent Void
The demon, sensing sacred energy, gave a grim look. His body disappeared and turned black like gravel. The black liquid fell to the ground, and at that moment, the ground trembled slightly. The black liquid expanded to a diameter of 10 meters, and from that thing began to form much larger needles, aiming directly at Cristina.
The greatest enemy of a demon, without a doubt, is sacred white energy, also known as sacred mana. Golden flames or, depending on the user, its power varies. But Cristina, belonging to the ducal house devoted to the goddess of light, with her divine blood running through her veins, usually has the most powerful sacred mana in the world. On the other hand, the bright white wings on her back represent the goddess's lineage...
Cristina looked coldly at the pool of blood. The sword in her hands expanded, reaching two meters in length.
Sacred Sword: Incandescent Flames.
Her voice was soft. With a diagonal cut, the pool of blood boiled, and the black pool emerged. From the whispers full of malice, shapes of specters began to form...
"She's trying to escape!" The roar of the red wolf covered in flames thundered, and its eyes were bloodshot.
Flame of War: Explosive Flames!
BOOM!!!
Red flames like blood rose around them. The crazy murmurs stirred, and a screeching sound, capable of rupturing eardrums, came from the specters that began to merge into each other. From them emerged the demon again, with a cut on his chest that glowed faintly, from which gray blood droplets fell. Behind him, two pairs of horrible bat-like wings. His black eyes turned gray and hollow.
Demonic Blood: Mental Division.
"Old Colder, where is Nox?" The little girl tugged at the old Colder's church robe, frowning and asking with some annoyance in her voice. She was wearing a lovely white dress, and around her were her other well-dressed siblings.
Today was supposed to be a very important day, or rather, a very important night for the little family in the church. It was time to pray to the goddess of light, as had been said. Even if it's a small village far from the empire, they were obligated to have a deity to offer their sincere prayers. In this case, old Colder, a believer in the goddess, along with the nun Jenny, also marked this as a special night because it was the last night they would spend with Nox before he was taken to the empire. Because of all this, little Anna was very upset with Nox...
Old Colder sighed for a moment and smiled slightly: "I said he had some things to do before leaving. He mentioned that he would join us soon, so don't be so angry, little one." He gently stroked her head, and Anna pouted: "Fine."
Old Colder sighed internally: "May the goddess protect her." Speaking to himself, he slowly closed his eyes.
"Well, let's begin. Nox will come, just give him a little time." Trying to lighten the mood, Old Colder had the children kneel and join their hands...
"Goddess of Light..."
A small village, far from the empire and so close to the Silent Void Forest, a place more than dangerous, it is practically impossible to live peacefully in it. This small village draws attention: human souls, bright like the sun and full of vitality, defenseless. After all, they are humble country folk; none of them know how to use magic or wield a sword. But still, being so close to such danger, nothing strange has happened to threaten their lives. Quite strange. For the demons, this village is no different than an all-you-can-eat feast. However, in a way, this village had been practically invisible just a few years ago. No one in the empire knew the name of the village. It wasn't until a prodigy in mana emerged from it, a girl with grayish-white hair and gray eyes, that quickly drew the attention of powerful people from the empire. They came and took her, adopting her into a great ducal family and naming her the saint of the goddess of light...
The origins of the saint spread, and people learned about the village from which she came, a village of farmers and peasants, but curiously located near the Silent Forest... a deadly and extremely dangerous forest. Because of this variable, the village drew some attention, but it also brought unwanted attention...
Nox walked perfectly through the night. His black eyes could see perfectly in the dark. In the midst of towering trees that seemed to reach the sky, the path was safe. On his shoulder, the shadow chicken stared at one place, and it was the same place he was heading. From that spot, explosions and the horrible sound of metal clashing with metal could be heard. Similarly, a warm breeze occasionally brushed against his body. It was pleasant, as the night was always cold.
Gods and demons, at first, the ideas he had about them were vague. He didn't believe in either until he saw it with his own eyes, just demons. But of course, seeing a demon makes it clear that gods exist. If one exists, why doesn't the other? For simple balance, they must both exist at the same time.
After a few moments, Nox arrived at the place where a great battle was unfolding. He inspected the area and raised an eyebrow. He looked at the three young people who were supposed to take him to the academy, but instead, they were in a desperate and deadly battle...
There were two identical demons. They were the image of the other. From both of them emanated horrifying whispering voices full of madness. Where they went, it seemed like they could make you fall into despair...
"A demon with mental attacks," he murmured to himself. It was the first time he had seen one of its kind. Briefly looking at the two demons, he changed his gaze...
"Bloodlines." Nox looked carefully at the physical changes, the only ones he could see at first glance. The young woman with golden hair and matching eyes had two beautiful angel wings behind her back. On the other side, there was a large wolf surrounded by red flames, and lastly, a young woman with blue hair. Half of her body was human, while the other half was that of a fish... a mermaid... He opened his eyes slightly, surprised. After all, it was the first time he had seen such a transformation.
"Let's watch for now." He spoke to himself.
