Aries– veryyyy strong, passionate about being able to protect others while keeping their goals in mind. probs would have an animal-related mutation. (maybe like a cheetah, ram, or smth...)
Leo– more docile... i imagine them being like this sassy teacher EVERYONE loves at school. would totally be friends with Martin and gossip between lunch and breaks. wouldnt have a mutation, but has the potential and other factors to make up for it.
Sagittarius– sharp shooter based off the fact they are literally represented by the archer. they would have a mutation to have advanced eyesight!!!!! VERRRYYY useful in battle as a supporting sniper out on excursions.

Earth Signs:
Taurus– The MEDICCCCC!! got a bull and earth mutation. idk the science behind it but they would TOTALLY have a way by using herbs they produce to make cures. in both agriculture and medicine, would get along with Gertrude.
Virgo– tough one. i think... maybe like a veryy meticulous scientist. totally has carbon mutation. fell on the ground, got a carbon mutation!! (mainly based it off a google search of virgos being practical, analytical, and meticulous... so dont kill me.
Capricorn– IMGMGMGMFM!!! MOTHER FIGURE OF THE GROUP!! brings all the supplies, reliable, helps youth. teacher vibes, but they actually a student!!!! one of the older ones, actually. no mutation, but is very strong and mature. muscles on u are STRONG.

Air Signs:
Gemini– mutation where you have two traits of everything. maybe a spider? kinda like one of the teachers mr. xan. ur related by mutation, but not biologically. u both get along realllyyy well because of it :3
Libra– lion mutation. u nearly got mauled to dearh when the whole thing happened with the magical radiation. so u merged with a lion, using ur power to keep balance. this wasn't mentioned in the original novel, but u would be put in a specialized police unit meant to keep peace, law, and order.
Aquarius– sea mutation. going for a swim with Marcus, then the radiation hit! you both were in the same swim club, so u both got similar abilities. u both get along, and u and his girlfriend, Gertrude, are besties.

Water Signs:
Ima be honest. New Z-VIRUS unused lore, but there was a faction outside the walls where alll the big bad was. I imagine the water signs being the bad guys. Why?
1. ITS UNPRECEDENTED!! Plot twist, the sweet and supporting characters are evil! WOAH!!!
2. I like the idea of stereotypical softies (like Cancer and Pisces) finally acting like actual people that can actually do wrong and not js be cry babies.
Cancer– side villian. resides in the faction outside the walls that Scarlet and the others encounter. while not super strong, they are cunning, leading Scarlet and the others where they can't escape and often trapping the crew inside a situation. typically would have a mutation which allowed them agile movement. cats, crabs (yes, they are agile), or any flexible/agile animal!!
Scorpio– silent assassin, keeps distant. has a poison mutation. scorpios would definitely have somewhat ANY way of getting a poison or (in general) a harmful mutation. hooded and mysterious. while seemingly edgy, they can pretend to act like any other person when the hood comes off. manipulative and reliable.
Pisces– THE BIG BAD OF IT ALL!! Infiltraded the walls AOT style!! Gained trust, then mysteriously vanished only to be found with the enemy. While not the primary big bad, they are even worse– THE RIGHT HAND MAN!!! Gathering info, then sending it right off to their leader.

As you can see the theme: capricorn being the nurturing parental figure in school only to be the one responsible for everyones problems with a smile on their face.
