Planet Pandora, Year 2521 CE (Cosmic Era)
Alliance Headquarters: The Space Titans
(A/N: The Space Titans, one of the Alliance's three major powerhouses)
The bustling hum of the soldiers at the Alliance headquarters on Pandora Kingdom filled the air as Admiral Sun made his way to the stage. His gait was measured, his uniform perfectly pressed, and his demeanor calm—if a bit detached. The soldiers below stood at attention, awaiting his words with a mixture of anticipation and resignation.
"My dear soldiers, our beloved Alliance Government is on the verge of finally bringing peace to the Cigar Galaxy," Admiral Sun said to soldiers.
Sun Anwar, Admiral of one of the three powerhouses of the Alliance, the Space Titans, stepped onto the stage to deliver a speech to the soldiers under his command.
Three years ago, Sun had been the commander of the Vanguards, the unit responsible for destroying the Neo-Terran facility on Platinum. Nowadays, however, he seemed content with a comfortable desk job, delivering pretentious speeches to his subordinates rather than leading from the front.
It's the same no matter where you go, Alliance or Confederacy—those at the top live off the Labor of their Lesser…
"We, men and women of the Alliance, stand as guardians of freedom and common sense. It is our duty—no, our sacred privilege—to stand and fight against the oppression and tyranny of the Neo-Terran."
"In this country, we are deeply devoted to the principles of meritocracy, equality, justice, and liberty. These values, so dear to our hearts, are foreign to those barbarians," Admiral Sun declared.
Adam let out a yawn, barely able to stifle it as the Admiral's words continued.
(A/N: Adam is Adam Black, our novel's main character)
"As you've probably heard, in recent years the Neo-Terrans have developed frightening new technologies to spread their evil ideology across the Cigar Galaxy. That makes our mission all the more crucial!"
"Cast aside your doubts! You are the best of the best, the champions of all that is good! Some of you I've personally trained, and because of that, I hold the highest expectations for each of you!"
"Long live the Alliance! Long live democracy!" Admiral Sun shouted, his voice booming as he finished his speech.
The soldiers, fired up by his words, responded in unison: "Long live democracy! Long live the Alliance!"
Admiral's speech was met with rousing cheers, and after the victory at Platinum, morale was at an all-time high. And…
"Everyone, welcome on the board of Goliath," came a woman's voice from the stage, cutting through the cheers and applause.
Selana Aatre, captain of the ship, takes the Admiral's place. At the relatively young age of 32, she is already a decorated hero of the Alliance and the commanding officer of her own vessel.
'Seeing her in the flesh for the first time, my blood boiled in my veins,' Adam thought.
(A/N: Adam's inner voice (thoughts) will be shown like this: 'my name is adam.')
"In line with the principles of our beloved country, on Goliath, we uphold the spirit of diversity and tolerance. No matter who you are, you can be sure that you'll be welcomed as a friend and comrade in arms," Selana declared.
'In reality, 45% of the crew is composed of young women. The Alliance has been facing severe manpower shortages recently, and as a result, women have stepped up, filling every available non-combat position,' Adam
"Remember, the survival of this ship depends on every single member of the crew, from the captain to the trainees. Each of you plays a crucial role, and together, we make Goliath strong. So far, we've managed to avoid any damage or casualties in battle, and I intend to keep that record intact," Selana stated.
Adam looked in awe and muttered to himself, "That's one impressive feat... no wonder they call her 'Hero of the Alliance'."
"If we work together, defeat the Neo-Terran, and bring peace back to this galaxy, the end of this accursed war is near. I'm sure of it," Selana said, her voice unwavering. She stood tall, determination in her eyes. "Long live Alliance!"
The soldiers around her echoed in unison, "Long live Alliance!"
'Compared to the admiral's verbal lax, the captain's speech was shorter, more to the point, and down to earth. Adam couldn't help but smile. He could see why she was so popular among the space titans... No, the entire Alliance.' Adam
