The sky split with magic.
Remu's voice echoed through the air as her arm carved a glowing rune midair—fiery and jagged. She slammed it forward.
"Orvus Kael."
A lance of violet lightning exploded from her palm, ripping through the battlefield. The ground shattered. Trees in the distance vaporized. The air screamed.
Angel dove first, flames bursting off her fur as she shifted mid-air, claws glowing blue. She curved around the bolt, hit the ground running, and tackled Remu just as the second spell formed.
CRACK!
Remu flipped, landed in a crouch, and fired a pulse-blast from her palm—Angel was thrown backward, crashing into a crumbled wall with force that left a crater.
Mob dropped from the sky. White wings flared, catching the light. His blade of light hummed as it clashed with Remu's summoned shield, sparks flying. He twisted, swept her legs.
She vanished.
