Chapter 3 - Neuro Inc.

It's year 3025, and I'm exactly four years old today.

But today wasn't just any normal day. Nope, this wasn't your typical birthday with cake and balloons. Today was the day of my baptism. But not the kind you're thinking of. No, this wasn't some religious ritual. This was the baptism—a special procedure called the "Scientific Baptism" that everyone goes through when they turn four.

It wasn't always a normal thing. Not too long ago, it used to be an experiment, a wild concept that no one really thought could succeed. It all began with Neuro Incorporation, the colossal, world-changing force behind the future of human evolution. Neuro Incorporation wasn't just a company—it was a global powerhouse that changed the way humanity thought about technology and human potential. Its visionary founder, Elion Yamamoto, was a genius born to an American father and a Japanese mother, who started Neuro Incorporation with one singular, audacious vision: to integrate artificial intelligence directly into the human brain.

Elion Yamamoto, now 53 years old, was a man ahead of his time. In the early days, his idea was met with ridicule. People told him it was inhumane, that it would harm humanity, and that only those who were suicidal would use his product. But Yamamoto remained resolute in his mission. He invested in skilled workers and scientists who believed in his dream, and fought tirelessly against waves of skepticism and mockery. He knew deep down that his work would change the course of history.

Then, one day, it happened. His technology worked.

Neuro Incorporation's once-controversial product—the chip that could enhance human capabilities—became a resounding success. The impossible had become reality, and the world was changed forever. Neuro Incorporation went from a startup with an impossible dream to the leading corporation in global innovation. People all over the world marveled at its capabilities. Yamamoto's dream had become humanity's new reality, and with it came the dawn of a new age of human evolution.

The first trials were conducted on animals—monkeys, specifically. The scientists implanted chips into their brains to observe how their cognitive abilities were enhanced. The results were extraordinary. With enhanced intelligence, these monkeys could learn faster, process information better, and even solve complex problems. It was a huge breakthrough, and soon, Neuro Incorporation moved forward with human trials. They initially tested it on adults, and the results were beyond their wildest expectations. But soon, they realized that the optimal time to unlock a person's true potential wasn't in adulthood—it was during childhood, at the age of four.

That's when the process became a standard. Now, every newborn receives the chip at birth. It doesn't activate immediately, though. The chip must first sync with the child's developing brain and nervous system. This process takes four years. Once the child reaches the age of four, that's when the chip is activated, fully integrating with the child's body and mind, making it a natural part of them.

That's when the "Scientific Baptism" takes place. It's not some grand ceremony. It's a medical procedure, a technical event that marks the child's transition into their full potential. The chip is activated, and in that instant, a world of possibility opens up. The child's mind is now directly connected to the advanced systems designed by Neuro Incorporation, enhancing their mental and physical capacities in ways that were previously unimaginable.

At first, there were a lot of questions. How would the chip impact a child's development? Would it change them in ways that were too extreme, too uncontrollable? Would it be dangerous? But as the years went on, the results spoke for themselves. Children who underwent the Scientific Baptism began to outperform others in every aspect of life. Cognitive abilities skyrocketed. Physical agility, strength, and reflexes improved. The potential of the human mind and body had been unlocked like never before.

This wasn't just about making people smarter or stronger—it was about pushing humanity to new heights. It was the key to human evolution, offering endless possibilities to anyone who underwent the procedure.

The procedure itself takes place in state-of-the-art facilities, designed to blend science and innovation in a way that almost feels otherworldly. The child is placed in a capsule, where they remain for the procedure. There is no pain involved—just a brief moment of transition. The chip, once activated, begins its synchronization with the child's nervous system, and within moments, everything changes. The mind becomes sharper. The body responds faster. A vast new world of capabilities is unlocked, and the child becomes something more than they ever imagined.

While the process is relatively simple, it's not without its controversy. Many skeptics argue that tampering with the human brain like this could lead to unforeseen consequences. Others fear the loss of individuality, the idea that people might become too "programmed," too dependent on technology. But in the face of this criticism, Neuro Incorporation pushed forward, confident in the positive results they had seen.

For me, today was the actual beginning. The Scientific Baptism would mark the start of my true potential being unlocked. While I didn't know what powers or abilities I'd gain, part of me wondered if I'd feel different—if the change would be noticeable immediately. Maybe I'd be able to shoot fireballs from my hands, or even unleash a massive spirit laser with a shout like I was about to launch a Kamehameha wave!

But there was one thing I was certain of: this was the future. This was my future. The world was changing, and with the Scientific Baptism, I was stepping into that change.

And as I lay there, grinning like a maniac, my excitement practically radiating from every pore, I couldn't help but think—this was gonna be awesome.

My life would never be the same again—and neither would the world. At least, I hoped so. Shooting spirit fireballs in the palm of my hand...
