In the process Jeremy moved away from the area.
"It's part of the plan, it's not fear," he told himself as he continued to walk away.
Drae'mon, on the other hand, was approaching the beast, who was distracted by consoling the two monsters. They looked just like a mother with her cubs.
Her presence was well hidden, but not so well as to be invisible.
Mama Putorius noticed that there was something strange in the air, she felt she was being spied on, and she nodded to the cubs. Without a second thought, the cubs obeyed their mother and ran away.
Well, sort of-they were going straight in Jeremy's direction.
After looking around without sensing anything unusual, the beast was beginning to believe she had been mistaken.
But just as she was about to return to her cubs, a blast of air hit the beast from behind.
"-50"
A very low damage hit the creature, which turned sharply, emitting a furious scream.
But nothing seemed to be behind it. This made the beast even more cautious.
Suddenly it sensed something coming from its right flank. Without thinking about it she immediately launched an airshoot, but it hit nothing but the tree nearby. Then a sensation of pain ran through his body.
"-250"
"-15"
Something had hit him, but he still did not know what. This made him so angry.
"-15"
To make matters worse, he seemed to have been poisoned.
Without holding back any longer, he immediately used his Storm skill, covering the entire 5-meter radius around him with furious air.
Then from behind he heard another shot coming from behind him.
"-50"
He was really angry. He could not see the enemy.
But then, a shadow seemed to move away from the storm.
Taking aim, the beast fired another Airshoot, hitting the skeletal creature.
"-1200"
"YAAA"
A scream emerged from the beast's mouth, almost exulting at the result.
Drae'mon had taken a hit, fortunately a glancing blow, but it still scraped a good portion of its HP.
However, the undead did not panic, retreating into the forest. He had now lost the advantage of surprise, but he was still confident of victory.
Besides, the magical beast was consuming his mana by keeping the Storm ability active. He had to keep wasting its resources.
The beast despite his successful strike did not let his guard down. It could not deactivate its Storm ability or it would go into CD, so it began to move chasing the skeleton's shadow.
Another shot tried to hit the beast from the flank; however, this time he saw it and managed to dodge in time. By now the skeleton had no chance, that was the beast's thought.
But then, a screech echoed through the forest. It was all too familiar to the beast.
It turned toward the screech, deactivating the Storm ability that slowed it down so it could run full speed toward its cubs.
But this action cost the beast dearly.
Drae'mon, coordinating with his master's action, charged straight toward the creature. He went straight with his combo, Ferocious Bite followed by Poisonous Claw.
"-375" "-19"
"-250" "-30"
Acceptable damage. Especially the poison damage, which was piling up, dealt damage directly based on the enemy's health.
SKREEEHH
A scream came out of the beast. It was furious. Despite the skeleton's low damage, this one seemed very cunning, always striking at the right time.
With a wave of his hand he wanted to push the skeleton away, but the latter used the Airshoot skill at point-blank range on the enemy so as to take advantage of the Knockback effect and keep his distance.
With the skeleton far away, the beast used its Air Bubble skill to protect itself from the damage that could hit it from a distance, and ran with all its might toward the area where it heard the scream.
The skeleton followed closely behind the beast, which was increasing the distance between them, being faster.
Then after some time he finally saw the face of the human, who had two monsters in his hands. They appeared to be dead. In reality they had only been knocked out, but the beast did not have the mental strength to analyze the situation in detail and so, without taking even a moment to observe the situation, it charged straight at the human.
He did not use any skills for fear of harming the bodies of his children.
Although he believed them to be dead, he still dared not strike them for fear of tearing them apart.
Charging like a madman, the beast did not notice the smile on the face of the human, who stood there still and watched the beast advance.
Jeremy was no fool. He had prepared a plan. There were a lot of big trees around and his plan was simply to drop one on the rampaging creature.
The beast, heedless of the impending danger already had a vision of the little human being devoured and torn to pieces by its teeth.
Then-
Jeremy used a Bone Spear directly on the tree that had its trunk already half destroyed.
This fell straight at the beast, who did not notice the tree falling on his head until it was too late.
The trunk fell on him, crushing his body violently.
"-4000"
A huge amount of damage hit the beast, which was stunned by the blow and stood there trapped under the tree.
A few seconds later, a Bone Spear struck the vulnerable creature.
"-125"
"Nice shot..." said Jeremy sarcastically.
"Good thing I'm smart, otherwise it would have been really hard to kill."
A few moments later the heavy cavalry arrived.
With a leap, Drae'mon charged directly into the flank of the beast, which was about to recover.
He proceeded again with the Ferocious bite combo followed by Poisonous Claw.
"-375" "-19"
"250" "-15"
A furious scream came out of the beast, who launched an Airshoot in front of him to free himself from the log, followed by Storm and Air Bubble.
He didn't care anymore. He was dying; he had little more than 100 HP left; he did not want to die.
No one wanted to die.
Fortunately, Jeremy had already moved away. With the Air Bubble activated, the boy could no longer deal ranged damage to the monster.
Meanwhile, the pile of bones took heavy damage from the Storm ability.
"-240"
"-240"
He wanted to move away, but the monster seemed to go crazy, following the skeletal creature as if it were the thing he hated most in the world.
"-240"
"-240"
Finding himself unable to escape, Drae'mon turned around and came straight at the beast's face.
This one was literally one step away from death, one simple blow and all would be over.
But the skeleton was also wounded.
So, with both creatures ready to destroy themselves, there was the final blow. Drae'mon attacked with a simple strike, all his skills were in CD. The beast, on the other hand, launched a point-blank Airshoot.
"-125"
"-2880"
Two extremely different amounts of damage followed one another.
Then-
The storm suddenly subsided.
A thud resounded soon after and dust rose from the ground.
"9950 exp gained."
Jeremy was out of breath. He did not know what to think. He firmly believed that Drae'mon would win, but seeing that ability hit him at such close range made him doubt whether the skeleton had survived.
Two interminable seconds passed, at the end of which the dust settled and a smile escaped Jeremy's lips.
"I knew you wouldn't let me down."
He shot straight toward his summoning, wanting to check its status.
Drae'mon
HP: 220
Jeremy sucked in a breath of cold air. Fortunately, he was not dead. He didn't know what would have happened otherwise.
Could he have summoned another undead with the same blessing?
That wasn't even the point. By now he had grown fond of the little monster that followed him around. He did not want to replace him.
Fortunately, they won.
"You evil beast, you were going to kill my friend here," growled Jeremy.
"Now I just hope you have the core, or else...or else..."
Opening his brain, Jeremy found the core of the beast.
"Core Rank D lv21 x1 Obteined."
"Yes, we can finally rank up."
