The sun set quietly over Tokyo, casting a warm orange glow over the Nobi residence. Nobita lay lazily on the tatami mat, dodging homework as usual. Doraemon, sitting beside him with his gadget pouch, sighed deeply.
"Nobita, at this rate you're going to fail again. Want me to help?"
"Do you have something that can do my homework?" Nobita grinned.
"I have something better," Doraemon said, pulling out a sparkling device. "The Time Echo Recorder. It lets you listen to your future self's answers from exams — but only if you studied."
Nobita's smile vanished.
As they argued, a faint vibration shook the room. The window rattled, and a bright blue light lit up the sky outside. Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo rushed in seconds later, breathless.
"Something's happening at the old park," Shizuka said. "There's a giant portal!"
