Chapter 6 - Chapter 006: Conqueror's Haki!

"Alert—!"

Suddenly, a terrified voice came from the lookout post.

"Bad news! There's a monster up ahead!"

Sure enough, waves surged across the sea's surface as dark shadows writhed beneath.

One after another, giant creatures swam swiftly toward them.

Upon seeing this, panic spread across the deck.

"We're doomed! Monsters are coming!"

"Captain, we have to change course—fast!"

"I'm gonna die before I even get married! Aaaaah!"

"Look at the size of those Sea Kings—ayaya!"

Even the usually fearless Burgess was shaken by the sight of those dense, moving shadows.

"Captain… are we seriously going through this? Isn't this way too dangerous?!"

Doc Q shook his head and muttered,

"With beasts this massive, even poison probably won't work…"

ROAR—!!

A thunderous howl echoed.

A huge swarm of monstrous sea creatures emerged from the water.

Some had serpent-like bodies, others feline faces, others resembled giant crabs…

Their cold, piercing gazes locked onto the Chris.

It felt as if they were just moments away from launching a devastating attack.

Now, even the bravest crew members lost their composure.

Some collapsed onto the deck, others burst into tears, a few clutched their heads in despair.

"Chris, we can still escape if we leave now!"

Even Betty couldn't keep calm anymore. She frowned and spoke quickly:

"If all these Sea Kings attack at once, then—"

She didn't finish the sentence, but everyone understood the implication.

"We should retreat, Captain."

Burgess wiped the cold sweat from his brow, clearly terrified.

"They're too huge. One of them could crush the whole ship!"

Then, as if on cue, the Sea Kings let out a unified roar and charged at full speed.

They loomed like mountains crashing from the sky.

It was terrifying—an unstoppable wall of destruction.

"AAAH—!"

Screams erupted from every corner of the ship.

Despair spread like wildfire. Everyone thought it was the end.

"Captain, what do we do?!"

Burgess and the others looked desperately at Chris.

But Chris didn't respond to the panic.

Instead, he stepped forward.

His gaze sharpened.

"Get lost."

A titanic force burst from his body.

The air shimmered—waves of pressure rippled outward.

Silence.

The entire world seemed to go still.

All the Sea Kings froze in place.

Their massive heads dripped with cold sweat.

Their eyes locked onto Chris—filled with pure terror.

SPLASH—

With a series of splashes, the Sea Kings turned tail and fled, diving deep into the sea.

"Keep moving forward!"

Chris stood with his back to the crew and shouted.

The entire ship was shocked into silence—then erupted into cheers.

"Long live Captain Chris!"

"With the Captain around, I fear nothing! Charge ahead!"

"So strong—Captain, you're insanely powerful!"

"Get lost?! Damn, that was badass—AAAH!"

"Captain Chris, I'll follow you forever! sob sob sob…"

Burgess stared at Chris's back with growing awe and admiration. He burst into laughter.

"So this is the Conqueror's Haki the Captain spoke of. It's insanely strong! Wehahahaha!"

Even Doc Q, usually grim and coughing, looked unusually respectful—and didn't cough for once.

"As expected of our Captain. I'm convinced now."

Baccarat silently watched that towering figure, eyes flickering with something indescribable.

Then Betty turned to Burgess, curious:

"You just said that was Conqueror's Haki. Is that really what Chris used?"

"The Captain once explained there are three types of Haki in this world," Burgess replied excitedly.

"The first two can be trained by anyone, but the third—Conqueror's Haki—is determined by potential alone."

"He said it's incredibly rare. Only one in a million people have it."

Burgess looked at Chris's silhouette with reverence:

"At first, I thought he was just bragging."

"But now… he's even stronger than I imagined. Wehahahaha!"

Doc Q nodded solemnly.

"The Captain is truly extraordinary. None of us can compare."

"With a leader like him, our name will surely spread across all the seas. cough…"

Betty furrowed her brows slightly, whispering to herself:

"Conqueror's Haki…"

"A power this overwhelming actually exists? It's unbelievable."

Her beautiful eyes landed on Chris again, a faint smile forming as her thoughts stirred.

"No wonder he dares to dream of changing the world. He really has the strength to back it up."

"This captain—I'm all in. I can't wait to see the day he topples the Celestial Dragons."

Baccarat also smiled gently, her tone filled with certainty:

"When I chose to follow Chris, I already knew."

"He's not just any man—he's destined for greatness."

"Now I see it clearly—I made the right decision."

From this moment forward, every crew member on board fully gave their hearts to Chris.

He wasn't just their captain anymore—he was their unwavering leader.
