Chapter 1 - Prologue

"We are at the end of the journey...what did you learn?", the thing asked. A soft answer, filled with underlying emotions such as hate, despair, restlessness but foremost - love, resounded in the air: "I yearned for so much yet in the end -- all the things I ever wanted...when I had them - they felt like nothing. It felt like they meant nothing. Than I ---- lost them and it felt like... I lost my whole world." The darkness that encapsulated the being and him ---- him who gained everything and lost everything at the same time, made them not discernable. Swallowed the words that followed after.

Let me tell you all a bit about this world. This world is set in a fantasy setting. There are living beings such as dragons, cthulhus, wyverns and ghouls. Those are some of the predators. There are others as well that you may know to well. For example hippos, wolfs and sharks. There are also other normal living beings you may know from your own world. Sheeps, pigs, cows, birds like a blue jay. Not only reagarding towards the wild life there are different kinds of beings. Societies you never know existed. Magic exists - maybe you have such magic before but you could be in for a suprise. On this journey, nothing is impossible. You may think of gods and what so ever but don't limit your imagination. Explore it and it may come into being in this story.

A small city lies ahead. Surronded by a lush forest. Painted with red spider lilies, buttercups, violets and fern. Trees ranging into 20- 50 meters in height. Birchs, oaks and some unknown variants that one would only know about when you start exploring them yourself. The dangers and wonders they entail. In this small city...sparks live. Sparks of stars. Every inhabitant is such a piece of a star.

In a house that is 15 meters in height to the roof truss and having a living space of around 200 m² a family of 6 lives. A Father and a mother with their 4 children. The parents one brown haired with blue eyes. His skin colour turning brown in just a day when he is working in the sun. He is nearing 40. The mother in her mid 30s, blond and green eyes with a skin that gets fresher the more she is outside. The two sons and two daughters.

The eldest a boy with the age of 14 having brown hair and blue eyes. Inheriting the looks of his father. A skin that is brownish like an Italian in your world. A build that shows that he works with his body not just on occasions but rather puts it into action but still in his youthful years, developing. After him his two sisters were born. The first one just shortly after him. She is 13 now. Brown hair and blue eyes as well. Her hair curly. Right now she is just at the same height as her big brother and has got the same skin characterisic. The second sister, seven years of age, blond hair like her mother with blue eyes and a softer whiter skin than her two bigger siblings. Than the fourth one. The youngest brother. He is six and has the green eyes of their mother, the brown hair from the father and as it happend to be the genetic base of his skin as well.

The father working in the medical profession is highly respected in this small city. Hard working and never shying away to put effort into his profession and trying to save his patients. The mother always helping him with it and taking care of the house and the kids when the father doesn't need her help. All of them are taking on school. The family can afford it thanks to the efforts of the father and mother.

"Selia, don't run to far ahead. We'll not be to late for school. Don't worry!" Atticus, the oldest brother shoutet down the road. "But I wanna be there as soon as possible! I wanna play with my friends!" Selia shouted back as she jogged in a zig-zag motion through the crowd. "I know you are eager but don't crash into other people while hurrying along. You could get lost when you run around like this!", Atticus warned stearnly without getting a response from his youngest sister. "Don't worry...everybody knows us here brother..." Adeline the eldest sister said to him softly. "I know but I can't help but worry. There can always be new folks in town. Mother and father always warn us about this." Adeline nodding, "you are right but it's really unlikely." He sighs: "It is but none the less...she shouldn't run that far ahead" This scenario was all to common for the siblings. "But we now have Nicolaus with us. He can't walk that fast yet." "She will learn, I am sure of it." Atticus looks and Adeline and nods. "She will. Are you alright Nicolaus?" he asks as he looks back to his young brother. "mhhh...yes" he nods "I am also looking forward to school but I am quite nervous-- will I find friends to get along with?" Adeline looks at him saying reassuring: "Don't worry. Your friends you play with in the garden from time to time will also be there! So don't worry about it! You definitely will find some people to get along with!" As he hears her words Nicolaus lights up. "Thats true! I forgot that!" and he starts skipping happily along side his eldest brother and sister.

"Brother - aren't you starting advanced magic classes and adventuring today?" Adeline asks, "Yes, actually I do...I am quite looking forward to it! I am eager to learn a lot of new stuff! I wonder what there is to experience with magic! How are your basic lessons coming along?" he asks Adeline in return, she responds with a groan "Don't get me started. The end exams will be held after this year for the magic classes and its so much to keep in your mind!", "Oh yea, that's true. IT truly was a hassle last year. Even tho it was a hassle I am glad I put the effort in. You should as well! We cannot let our fathers and mothers efforts be in vain." Atticus reminds her and turns to Nicolaus "and you should as well...you start today your first ever magic lesson! Look forward to it!", "I DO" Nicolaus shouts with a wide grin as they get closer to the school gates, Selia waiting for them.
