So how did I get to a crossroads with a police officer looking at me look down at a demon? Hi, that man dressed in black with burnt runes on his body is me. I am Drakklin Evenglade. I am an Exorcist. I go by Runic. I use runes. Oh, wait back to the crossroad demon.
"Exorcist you not the type to make deals." The crossroad demon said with a hiss of his words. I looked at him as I took off my gloves and put them in my pocket.
"I need that soul, Demon." I said to it as I opened a booklet.
"What type of soul Runic?" The Demon said to me as he adjusted his tie.
"You know the soul you bastard!" I shouted at him. He smiled at me as I felt my blood start to boil. The Crossroad Demon knew he had me where he wanted me. I grabbed him with my hand which surprised the Crossroad Demon.
"Where is the soul of Ash Lovegood?" I asked again as I stood there holding his face close to mine. The Demon looked scared at this point.
"I have it, but you aren't getting it without a deal." The Crossroad Demon stood there as he released my hand. I walked over to my black 2009 Ford 150 and opened the tailgate.
"Sir, what are you grabbing?" Officer Mia Chanti asked me as she looked confused. As the tailgate dropped, she saw a body in the back. She put her hand on her gun. Mia Chanti is a newbie cop with mid-tone brown skin, brown eyes, a cute button nose, and Braided long hair. She looks like a small kid playing cop, but you can tell she is an adult.
"I didn't kill her the last person who owned the body gave it to me." I said as I grabbed a booklet. I closed the tailgate and walked back up to the Crossroad Demon.
"I will give you the names of five people who broke the law in bad ways if you give me back her soul." I try to bargain. The Demon looked at me with his yellow eyes. They glowed with glee at the idea of getting a better deal.
"Broke the law how?" The Crossroad Demon asked with excitement.
"Murders and serial killers." I explain as I rip out the papers.
"How many souls did they release all together?" The Crossroad Demon asked as he took the paper
"Nineteen souls all together." I explained. I saw him smile with glee and his yellow eyes grew big as he read the papers. The Crossroad Demon pulled out a jar and a contract.
"A trade." I asked as I grabbed the paper with the locations.
"Fine!" The Crossroad Demon shouted with annoyance. He made a table appear as he put the jar and contract down before handing me a pen. I signed the contract before having the Demon read it over.
"Okay, she is yours." The Crossroad Demon said as I handed him the papers.
"Officer open my tailgate!" I shouted. She looked confused as I stood there holding the jar.
"Open it now come on." I said again as she looked at me.
"What is in the Jar?" Officer Mia asked.
"It is Ash's soul." I said as I stepped closer. I opened the tailgate and put the jar next to the body. I opened the jar and watched the soul go to the body. We stood there watching as the chest started to rise and fall.
"What the fuck are you?" Officer Mia asked as she grabbed her handcuffs.
"I am Drakklin Evenglade. I am an exorcist that uses runes to battle demons, spirits, and gods' evens." I explained as I stood there putting my gloves back on. I put my arms out.
"You could arrest me, or I could follow you to the hospital." I went on to offer an option.
"Follow. I don't want your truck here or for others to find the body that came back to life." Officer Mia said as I got back to my truck. I followed Officer Mia to the station. I turned on the radio listening to Five Finger Death Punch Wrong Side of Heaven blasting out of my truck open windows. Driving into the small town I saw it looked like a ghost town. Park cars and trucks, closed businesses, and sleeping houses that lights came back on.
As we got to the Police Station I parked on the street as I turned the key to turn the truck off. I rolled the windows up and opened the driver-side door open. I stepped out seeing the pissed-off faces of the police officers.
"Hey, asshole did you think blasting music was a good idea?" Officer Mia shouted as I stood there with a smile.
"I was enjoying my drive." I said with a smart-ass tone. I was put in handcuffs and started being brought into the station.
"Den protect the truck!" I shouted as I was taken into the station. The officers looked at the truck thinking if they should touch it.
