Stacy's phone rang, breaking the silence. "Stacy, Stacy, Lydia is calling," the voice assistant announced.
"Why are you calling me?" Stacy asked, raising her pant leg to adjust her sock.
"I have to tell you something," Lydia said, her voice laced with urgency. "Mister Yan's nephew has come back, and he wants to take over the company."
"That's not true," Stacy replied, skeptical. "Mister Yan doesn't have a nephew."
"If you think I'm playing, then come and see for yourself," Lydia challenged. "I have to go to my office. Meet me there."
Stacy couldn't believe the news. Mister Yan had never mentioned a nephew. She made her way to Lydia's office, wondering if it was some kind of prank.
As she arrived, she saw a commotion outside the company building. A mass of media personnel swarmed the entrance, all eager to get a scoop.
Mister Yan's nephew stepped out of a sleek, black car, flanked by a burly bodyguard and holding the hand of a young boy. Stacy's eyes widened as she took in the sight.
He was handsome, gorgeous, amazing, and cute, all at once. The media frenzy intensified as he walked towards the building, his eyes scanning the crowd.
Stacy's job as head of security meant she had to escort him to the board office. She approached him, trying to compose herself.
"Hello, nice to meet you. You're welcome to Vision Industrial Mobile Company. We're happy to see you."
The nephew's piercing gaze made Stacy's heart skip a beat. "Thank you, but I didn't need all those remarks. Can you take me to the board office?"
Stacy felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she led him to the office. The atmosphere was tense as they entered. Mister Yan, the CEO, looked up from his seat, a mixture of surprise and unease on his face.
As Sebastian, the nephew, approached, everyone stood up to greet him, except Mister Yan.
"Everyone, this is my brother's son, Sebastian," Mister Yan said gruffly. "He's been... abroad for a while."
Sebastian's eyes locked onto his uncle's, a hint of accusation in his voice. "So, you believed I was dead?"
Mister Yan shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "We... thought you were."
Sebastian's gaze turned icy. "You sent your henchmen to kill me. I suffered because someone lost their life. You took over the company, didn't you?"
The room fell silent, with all eyes on the unfolding drama.
"I want to know what really happened," Sebastian demanded, his voice firm but controlled. "I want to know why you betrayed my father and me."
Mister Yan's face paled, but he remained silent, his eyes darting around the room.
As the tension escalated, Stacy realized that she had stumbled into a web of deceit and betrayal that went far beyond a simple family reunion.
