Rahmat in Senior High School
Rahmat, you know you're my First female child and I want to see you at top. As you are going to the boarding house, I want you to be the good girl I have always known. Be content with what you have. Just focus on your studies and become the woman I have always wanted you to be. I pray the Almighty protect you and guide all your footsteps.My mom said this to me when I was leaving for the boarding school to begin my Senior High School education in a town far from our place.
I got admission to one of the best schools since I got a better grade.I was so happy because I was going to the boarding house. Some SHS graduates in our area use to tell me how interesting boarding house is and I have always waited for this moment. However, the day for my departure to school approached so my parents and siblings took me to the Senior High School I was admitted to. I was thrilled when we got there. The school building was so nice.My parents brought my things out of the car and gave me words of encouragement and left me. At a point, I was sad because am not going to see my family for some months.
As I was about to carry my things to the dormitory, A girl came and helped me out.We started having conversation and got to know ourselves a little bit.Luckily for us we got the same dormitory. We became friends and did everything together. Even some people thought we were sisters because we somehow resemble each other. Ayisha was a loving and caring friend I have ever had. And would like to be with her every time. Unluckily, we wasn't in the same class buh we both offer the same course. That's Science.
During break time, Aisha will come to my class and call me so that we can eat together. Aisha made more friends with both males and females because she was a jovial type but I wasn't . Each time we go to the cafeteria to eat, We don't pay. There is this guy from Aisha's class that always pays for us. Ayisha claim is her friend and he is a nice and a caring guy. This happened for some months and all this while I haven't talked to the guy before. On this day, we went to eat and met the guy at the entrance of the cafeteria waiting for us. We got there and they both started talking. I went to sat down to wait for Aisha to come so that we can eat. They kept talking and the bell rang for break over . I stood up and went to class without uttering a word to Aisha.
We always go to the dorm together but this time I went earlier. I was so pissed even though we wasn't the one paying for the food we have been eating. I can afford our food buh since Aisha said the guy insisted of buying us food. I kept mute. I never wanted these things from day one because my mom advised me about how these SHS guys are.
Rahmat came to the dorm and apologised for what she did. I forgive her and her she shouldn't let the guy buy us food again. The guy stopped buying us food and since then I have been the one buying food for both of us. Anytime we go to eat, this guy will be staring at me. I always ignore him because am not a fun af making friends with males. He even went to the extent of coming to our class when ever there's no teacher in our class. He had friends in our class. He always stares at me when ever he comes to our class, a classmate sitting beside me told me. Even our class members thought we were in a relationship.
