Chapter 3 - Echoes of Resurrection

A stream of white matter coursed through the void, spiraling like a celestial whirlpool. It twisted violently, then surged forward—piercing the darkness and slamming into Jugram Constantine's broken body.

He watched it from outside himself. A strange out-of-body sensation. As soon as the white energy struck—

His eyes snapped open.

Blurred silhouettes loomed above him.

"—What the hell!?" one of them gasped.

"He's awake! That wound should've… there's no way—"

Jugram blinked, disoriented. Pain screamed across his torso.

He sat up, groaning. His body was swaddled in white bandages. Bloodstains soaked through most of them. But what caught his attention was the long, deep crescent-shaped wound on his side. It glowed faintly under the moonlight like a scar carved by divinity.

Memories crashed into him like waves.

His mother.

The shadows.

The voice that echoed in the Void.

He gritted his teeth.

Someone handed him a hot cup of coffee. The warmth jolted his senses.

"How... how did I survive?" Jugram asked, his voice low, shaky. "And what happened to the man who… killed my mother?"

The man before him sighed heavily, a sorrowful weight in his eyes.

"Saved you? Hah." He chuckled darkly. "It wasn't us."

Jugram frowned. "Then who?"

The man looked toward the open sky, as if the stars held the answer.

"The one who saved you… was our leader."

Scene shift—beyond the mortal realm.

In a dimension tucked outside the known cosmos, an alert blinked on a translucent interface hovering over a gloved hand:

> [Inferior Being Detected] [Dimensional Interpretation Enabled—Adjusting Perception Protocols]

The interface vanished as the view slowly panned upward.

Flames swallowed the world in the backdrop. A battlefield of ash and steel.

In the midst of it stood a tall man, his sword impaled through an enemy, his breath steady.

He was radiant—a lean, godlike figure, dark-haired, sun-kissed skin, dressed in sleek black combat gear. His wavy hair was parted in a casual undercut. Eyes: deep brown with sparks of mischief.

And as he stood amidst the chaos, sipping casually from a thermos, he muttered, "Guess that's enough for today."

Back in the real world—

"His name's Arnav," the man told Jugram. "And he should be here any moment."

Just then—

BOOM!

A rip tore through space in the center of the warehouse.

A flash of brilliant indigo light, and with it—a man.

Torn coat, lopsided grin, sunglasses indoors.

"Yo, yooo! What's up, party people!?"

He somersaulted mid-air and landed in a crouch, then casually stood, brushing imaginary dust off his shoulder.

Jugram blinked. "This… is your leader?"

Arnav pulled out a double-shot espresso from somewhere and took a long sip. "Man, what a day. Fought a monster for like fifteen hours. Then went to this five-star spa resort, got a foot massage, had gourmet sushi, and finally—decided to drop by here."

He walked up to Jugram with a lazy grin.

"Ohhh, you're awake already?" He whistled. "Damn, that's some Constantine blood alright. I didn't expect you to survive that kind of wound."

Jugram scowled. "You gave me this wound!?"

"Technically, yes. But, uh... in my defense, you were already kinda half-dead when I got there. I just, you know, I kickstarted your Aweakning which you can't do alone"

Jugram's brow twitched. "Aweaking!?"

"Right! You haven't even seen it yet. Okay, i won't explain to you it'll be too much effort for me to explain to a pity guy just try this—say 'Come forth.'"

Jugram hesitated, then muttered, "Come forth."

Suddenly—

A message appeared in Air which looked like its from different dimension.

> [SYSTEM INTERFACE ACTIVATED]

Name: Jugram Constantine

Age: 18

Species: Human , ■■.... (??? , Unknown Potential Undetected)

Status: Injured, Recovering

Seals Broken: ???

Aweaking : ■■

Uhhh ----

Jugram's jaw dropped. "What… what is this?"

Arnav leaned in, sipping his espresso. "Welcome , my dude. This place is exclusive to Awakened Ones. And you? You're one of the rarest types ( I hope )."

He flicked his finger and summoned his own interface.

> [ - User ( Creator ) : Arnav ■■■]

Class: ■■■

MMU: ■■■

Skills: ?????

Another member walked over, summoning their screen..

> Class: Temporal Guardian Skill: Chrono Bubble [Slows time by 3x in a 5m radius for 15 seconds.]

Jugram's eyes darted between the screens. "So… you all have this? Am I like you guys?"

Arnav chuckled. "Well, yes and no. You have the system, but yours is… unique. You've already broken a Seal."

"Seal?"

"There are Seven Seals," Arnav said, growing a touch serious. "Think of them as internal limiters. Every time you break one, your power skyrockets—but it comes at a cost."

He held up a finger. "Break all seven, and you reach something beyond comprehension. But… no one's ever done that, and your Constatineienen family such a hard name , anyways that has a special skill and you do seem like a chosen one"

Jugram's eyes narrowed. "Why me?"

Arnav smirked. "Because of your bloodline."

Arnav takes jugram to side

—A machine scans Jugram's chest. Arnav stands beside it.

> MMU: 8500.

Arnav grins. "No wonder he was after you."

Jugram snapped back to the present. "Wait… what does this mean?"

Arnav leaned forward. "Your family has a hidden ability. It's called Triumph of Arrogance. It awakens in one Constantine every 500 generations. Every time you survive a near-impossible death, you grow ten times stronger. But only under certain fatal conditions."

Jugram reeled. "You're saying I'm… a walking weapon?"

"Well, more like a ticking time bomb. With infinite potential."

Jugram's head spun. "And the man who killed my mother?"

Arnav grew quiet.

He looked out the window, stars twinkling ominously.

"The one you saw… he wasn't a man. He belongs to something far darker."

He turned back.

"They call themselves the Archangels of Demonic Destruction. Sounds holy, right? Noble? But it's a front."

Arnav's tone dropped.

"Their real name… is the Council of Destruction."

Jugram's pulse quickened.

"They don't destroy demons. Yes they do

But in this case The Demons are US.

We are the One they destroyed.
