The dragon fell silent, then breathed black dust forward, which had the power to turn flesh to ash.
Yet, that did not scare Aiden. Instead, he pointed his right hand forward to emit a dazzling light. From his palm, he created chains of light using his mind and magical energy.
The chains of light bound the shadow dragon, making it difficult to move or attack. Just as the dragon was under his control, Aiden clenched his fist, causing a small explosion of light to burst from his palm.
The shadow dragon roared loudly, filling the area with noise. The shadow dragon felt pain as the light chains binding its body released heat energy, as if burning the dragon's body.
