Chapter - 25 Speech (2)
The sturdy steel-plated grounds of the pavilion held hundreds of people. Most ignored the pavilion's rusted view, as such a refurbished layout was quite common.
Ding!
Suddenly, a loud ringing noise echoed from the center of the structure, interrupting most conversations.
Stood within the Pavilion's epicenter was an elevated lectern several free above the grounds.
Standing behind the lectern's body was a relatively tall woman with a bountiful cascade of slick neon green hair.
Donned on her face was an expression etched with objective indifference.
Clearing her vocal passage the woman spoke.
"Attention!" voiced the intoxicating voice of the Overseer

Registering the loud sultry voice sound from within the pavilion's center I pulled my attention away from Leo and towards the sound's origins.
Casting my gaze on the Neon-green on the woman I indivertibly noticed that the majority of people halted conversation.
'that's an overseer, I'll tell you' Alex mused.
Viewing the woman's face Alex felt an odd sensation,
Unease,
The women emitted an aura of reverence, and yet this trait seems diluted by another factor….
Such an oppression feeling
It was malevolent,
Unconsciously Alex broke out into a cold sweat, his lip quivered, and his heart's rhythmic beat perverted increasing in speed.
"!!!!"
My primal senses were becoming increasingly more powerful,
'She's a threat,' Alex thought.
Why such a thought crossed his mind he didn't know.
It was just instinctive,
Collecting himself Alex began to exchange his attention towards the woman's voice.
"As most of you know, H-rank battle zones do not tolerate deserters. If caught embarking on such a fruitless endeavor I can promise you your death would be one filled in the writhes of agony."
Saying this the Overseer then took something from out of her upper garment pocket.
"You see this? Each one of you will be given a specialized chip or implant, where it would then be lodged within your nape." the Neon-haired woman said in a neutral tone which didn't quite suit the prevalent topic in mention.
"To satiate some lingering curiosity, I will now mention the purpose of such chips."
Giving my attention further to the woman I unconsciously furrowed my brows increasing intensity with each word that spewed from the woman's tongue.
"While it is true such chips hold little purpose for you lot of trash, and honestly your singular desertion holds no real relevant effects… it's just that," the woman spoke
"I hate traitors and weak-willed people. Simply put, for the few dull-minded persons, you leave without consent you die, if you stay then your chances of survival increase."
"Whatever you do amongst one another holds no relevance to me, so kill, fight, steal, etc.. one another, I will pay it no heed unless it effectively affects performance on individual merit.
Donning a soft smile the Overseer casted her gaze which contrasted the soft expression of reverence she poised.
Such a gaze was drenched in revolt, and disgust.
Of course, the woman felt so away, this upfront task of talking in front of the newbies was nothing more than a tedious extra task hindering her already packed schedule.
The Overseer gave further information and provided smaller details on how the camp operates. With a large depth detailing the Low-rank battlefield's relation to the empire.
What actual purpose did these domains of bloodshed provide?
None of that's what most people believed.
The overseer simply said nothing. Her answers regarding the topic were always akin to vague, curt replies.
"Good-bye, and welcome to Hell" Lastly spoke the overseer before her swift exit from the pavilion.
"Fucking hate that bitch," murmured several individuals who were conversing with one another.
"She was hot as fuck," said a man in a lustful tone as he licked his lips
"Tch"
"What?!"
"As if you can fuck her," said the other man with a roll of his eye
"Says who?" retorted the man in an annoyed tone
"That bitch is obviously an overseer for a reason, she is probably decently strong or some shit," the other man said with a lazy shrug.
"!!!"
"What?" The other man said observing his comrade's expression
"I'm looking for a woman to court for my duration here, you know?"
The man said this in a tone sealant to a person choosing the right vegetable in the produce aisle.
Finely built delicate figure, and other eye-catching traits.
Tomato-tomato, it was all the same for these people.
"Reasonable," the other man said with a muse.
Etching a cynical grin on his face the first man spoke.
"I just found one, I'll need your help she seems to be a feisty one," the man said in a tone of impatience and condensed excitement.
Listening to the surrounding conversations I couldn't help but grimace and have a slight blooming feeling of revolution towards these people.
"Are you going to do that as well," I questioned Leo as I folded my elbow up pointing backward with my thumb and towards the two men who were heading across the grounds with rushed steps.
Without a second thought Leo voiced
"No, such lustful desires only hold a person down, and I have no incentive to indulge in such," Leo replied in a serious tone, clashing with his normal tone of voice which is always opted with total nonchalance,
"Anyway the rest of our group is beginning to leave following the senor who led us here," Leo said changing subjects.
Realizing what Leo was saying, Alex agreed and then trailed behind the others.
