Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Mage rank

The large chamber fell silent the moment Ujaraq entered like the silence before a storm—calm, but charged with ancient weight. His presence was magnetic, impossible to ignore. His presence alone was enough to command respect—heads bowed instinctively, a symbol of the reverence and authority he carried. Tall and cloaked in flowing robes etched with the ancient sigils of the Infinity Clan, Ujaraq walked slowly towards Henrry, his gaze firm yet sorrowful.

"We will find your father's killer," he said softly but with weight. "And bring justice to his soul. In his death, we too carry blame. But destiny is a force beyond anyone's control. What is meant to happen, happens regardless of our will."

Henrry felt his heart tighten. Ujaraq's voice held a strange comfort, like the calm before a storm.

"I know your mind is filled with questions," Ujaraq continued. "Why you are here... what this world is... and what part you play in it."

Henrry nodded. He had carried those questions since the moment he arrived.

"To understand this world," Ujaraq said, "you must first understand the history of Abron."

Henrry looked up, eager. The moment had finally arrived.

"Mia must have told you about the clans and belts of Abron."

"Yes," Henrry replied.

"Abron," Ujaraq began, his voice resonating like an elder bard's tale, "is home to many races—mages, beasts, elves, dwarf, dragon, knights. Each has their own clan and belt. And every being in Abron progresses through levels of power All have nine levels. For mages, there are such levels as . Levels 1 to 3 are known as Beginner Mages. Levels 4 and 5 mark the Intermediate phase. 6 and 7 represent the Advanced rank. Level 8 is the Crimson. And the final, rarely attained 9th level, is called the Archmage."

Henrry was fully attentive now. His eyes locked onto Ujaraq's every word.

"In all of Abron's long history," Ujaraq said, lowering his tone, "only one man ever achieved Archmage. Over two thousand years ago, in the Imperial Clan, a man named Jacob rose to that level. His power was unmatched akin to god with his power first times Abron was united under his leadership and the other clans had no choice but to accept his leadership. He gave his clan the title of Royal Blood."

The air seemed to grow heavier as Ujaraq spoke.

"Generations passed, and the Imperial Clan remained at the top. One reason was their unique power—Memory Accumulation of Jacob that pass through next generation because of bloodline.

They could alter memories across clans, control narratives, and rewrite truths. But not on the Infinity Clan."

Henrry looked surprised.

"Why not infinity clan?"

"Because," Ujaraq answered, "we carry half of the Imperial bloodline ourselves. Jacob, in his quest for power, altered his clan's lineage so that only someone of Imperial blood could harm another of the same. But he didn't foresee the consequences. Their population growth slowed drastically. Each family could have only two children, and that limitation caused a severe decline over generations."

Henrry listened, stunned.

"Even today," Ujaraq said, "no one in the Imperial Clan has reached the 9th rank again. Barely one member per two to three generations reaches the 8th. Like your Grand Master Omar."

"But recently," he continued, "something astonishing happened. The Imperial Clan has had three 8th-rank mages in the last three generations. No other clan has seen this. Not Aushadhi. Not Infinity. Not even the Beast or Mirage clans."

"So, Yamada... he's one of them?" Henrry asked.

"Yes," Ujaraq replied solemnly. "Yamada, his father Zenith, and his grandfather Vedayaan. All are 8th-rank mages."

"Then why did they attack on Infinity clan?" Henrry asked. "We only had Grand Master Omar at that level."

Ujaraq's eyes, deep as the ocean, glinted with pain.

"Because of Yamada," he said. "When Omar reached 8th level, he discovered something hidden deep within the Infinity Clan's bloodline—Time-Space Magic."

Henrry's jaw dropped. "Time-Space Magic?"

"Yes," Ujaraq nodded. "Only 8th-level mages can access it. But Omar also learned something else—a forbidden art. He could transfer his power to someone else using a key."

"A key?" Henrry asked.

"Think of it this way," Ujaraq explained, "if a mage is at the 5th level, it can take decades to reach the 6th. But with power transfer, someone can gain decades' worth of power in moments. Omar planned to use this to elevate our clan."

Henrry began to understand.

"And Yamada found out. He realized that if the Infinity Clan survived, we could reach the 9th rank before the Imperials ever could. And he couldn't let that happen."

Ujaraq turned away for a moment. "That is why Yamada, allied with the Beast Clan, attacked us."

Henrry clenched his fists. His blood boiled.

"When they attacked Omar," Ujaraq continued, "he used his last resort. With his staff as the key, he activated Time-Space magic and vanished, along with two other mages. One from our clan, and one from the Imperials."

"They vanished?" Henrry asked.

"Without a trace," Ujaraq said. "In his place, only a strange glass plate remained. Yamada arrived shortly after, and we had to fight to protect that artifact. Many of our people died, but we succeeded. We split the plate and retreated from our belt."

He paused.

"Twenty days later, that plate blinked—we believe that's when you found it. That's how we sent Mia and Ronnie to your world. But after your return, the glass cracked. It's no longer functional."

Henrry thought for a moment. "If the stick ended up in my world, then maybe Grand Master Omar is there too."

Ujaraq nodded. "We considered that. Mia and Ronnie told me time moves slower in your world. They were gone for only three hours here, but they spent 45 days in your world. They searched for Omar but couldn't find him. He may have sacrificed himself to transfer power."

Henrry was silent. But his silence wasn't empty. It was filled with rage.

"There's more," Ujaraq said. "Mia also noticed something else—in your world, mage powers slowly degrade without mana in your world, mia in your world became powerless. Its like battery that eventually died in time. That's why she and Ronnie felt weaker. And without the glass key, you can't return easily."

Henrry stepped back, his eyes burning. "I don't care. I'm not going back until I avenge my father."

His voice cracked, but it held iron. The Henrry who once trembled with confusion was gone. In his place stood a boy whose anger had sharpened into purpose.

Ujaraq placed a hand on his shoulder. "Then we will train you. You must become strong enough to stand against Yamada.

I believe in you because Omar stick does chose unworthy master. You must finish what Yamada start."

Henrry nodded slowly.

The fire in his eyes told Ujaraq everything he needed to know. The real battle had just begun.

Ronnie suddenly added " Omar was the only one have the talent of space-time magic outside of imperial clan because of this he was able to send his magic stick to Your World"

Mia added " the plate was called Heavenly mirror it was made by Omar by burning his life force. Imperial clan now have other half of the heavenly mirror but now you are here with Omar stick we can connect other half of heavenly mirror and summon to our infinity clan hideout ".
