Auron Power System: Skill Activation and Power Mechanism

The power system in Auron is an intricate blend of Mana, Divine Energy, and Imagination, each playing a vital role in skill activation and effectiveness. These elements work together in a dynamic way to shape the abilities of both locals and Proxies in Auron's world. Below is a cohesive and detailed overview of the skill activation process, the interaction between Mana and Divine Energy, and how Imagination becomes the key to unleashing power.

Key Components of the Power System

Mana (Energy Source for Skills)Mana is the fuel that powers skills. It is stored and accumulated in the body, with each being having a specific Mana Pool that determines how long and frequently they can use their abilities. Mana itself doesn't influence the potency of a skill—it only determines how long the skill lasts and how frequently it can be used.

Divine Energy (Skill Quality)Divine Energy is the essence of a being's connection to the Seven Deadly Sins or the Seven Heavenly Virtues. It defines the quality, potency, and effectiveness of a skill. The more Divine Energy a person accumulates, the more powerful their abilities become. Proxies are naturally gifted with stronger Divine Energy, making their skills twice as potent compared to the locals, even at the same accumulation level.

Imagination (Skill Activation and Execution)The activation of skills in Auron does not follow traditional magic circles or rituals. Instead, it is driven by the imagination of the user. The user must visualize their desired outcome or effect, guided by the divine power they channel. The skill is then triggered by a strong mental imprint or image, which ignites the energy needed for the skill to take form. Imagination plays a central role in how Divine Energy is molded and utilized.

Skill Activation Process

Divine Energy determines the quality of the skill. A Proxy with a higher Divine Energy will execute more refined and potent abilities compared to a Local, even if both are using the same amount of Mana.

Imagination acts as the catalyst that triggers the activation. A clear and vivid mental image of the skill guides both the divine energy and mana to form the desired ability. Without a strong imagination and focus, the skill activation might fail or come out weaker than intended.

Mana fuels the duration and repetition of the skill. Once a skill is activated, the mana in the user's body is drawn upon to maintain the effect. The more Mana available, the longer the skill can last before the user's Mana is exhausted.

The Skill Activation Cycle

Imagination and VisualizationTo activate a skill, the user must first imagine it in their mind. This can be any form of mental representation—whether it's a simple image or a more complex visualization. For example:

A fireball might be visualized as a glowing orb of fire, floating in the air, ready to be hurled at a target.

A healing aura may be imagined as a radiant light enveloping the target, soothing wounds and restoring energy.

Divine Energy AlignmentOnce the skill is visualized, the user channels their Divine Energy. This energy interacts with the mental image, shaping it into a physical or magical form. The alignment of the user's Divine Energy influences the quality of the skill. For example:

A proxy with strong Divine Energy connected to Lust might manifest a charming aura that draws others in with overwhelming force.

A local with Divine Energy aligned to Humility may conjure a calming presence that neutralizes aggression without causing harm.

Mana ActivationThe Mana is then consumed to fuel the skill. The strength of the skill's activation is partially determined by how much Mana is available to the user. If the user has a large Mana pool, the skill will last longer and can be repeated more times, but its quality will always be dictated by Divine Energy. For example:

A fireball could last a few seconds with a lower Mana pool, but it would fizzle out quickly.

With higher Mana, the fireball could last longer, causing more sustained damage or covering a larger area.

Skill Execution and MaintenanceAs the skill is activated, the Mana is consumed continuously until either the skill is deactivated or the Mana pool is depleted. Divine Energy is typically not consumed in the same way but instead empowers the quality of the skill over time. The user's focus and mental control are key factors in determining how effectively the skill is maintained, especially for complex or multi-layered abilities.

Proxies vs Locals in Skill Activation

Proxies:Proxies have twice as potent Divine Energy compared to locals. As a result, their imagination and mental control over the skills they visualize are magnified. The skills they activate, even with the same Mana consumption, will be far more powerful and refined.

A Proxy can cast a destructive spell with less Mana than a local, and the result would still be more devastating and long-lasting.

Proxies are also more resilient in skill activation, with better mental clarity to visualize their skills and manage their Mana.

Locals:Locals, despite having larger Mana pools, tend to be less refined in their skill activation due to their weaker Divine Energy. Their skills are more versatile, but they require much more Mana to maintain, and their quality is lower compared to Proxies. They often need to rely on large-scale or sustained effects due to their ability to accumulate more Mana.

A Local might be able to cast a fireball multiple times, but each cast would be weaker and consume more Mana than a Proxy's single cast of the same spell.

Example of Skill Activation Process

Tobias Quinn (Proxy - Lust and Chastity)

Imagination: Tobias envisions a temptation aura that could debilitate and charm his enemies. He sees it as a pulsating wave of energy that radiates outward, wrapping around his enemies and pulling their will to his side.

Divine Energy: His connection to Lust amplifies the charm and allure of the aura, making it powerful enough to weaken the resolve of multiple enemies at once.

Mana Activation: Tobias fuels the aura with his Mana to maintain the effect for as long as possible, choosing to extend its duration rather than amplify its initial burst.

Liora Vance (Local - Greed and Charity)

Imagination: Liora visualizes a shield of wealth, constructed from a swirling mass of golden coins, gems, and riches, to protect her and her allies.

Divine Energy: Her connection to Greed ensures that the shield has a strong defensive capability but at the expense of being heavily draining on her Mana.

Mana Activation: Liora's large Mana pool allows her to maintain the shield for a longer time but requires constant replenishing of her Mana.

Conclusion

The power system in Auron hinges on the interplay between Mana, Divine Energy, and Imagination. The Proxies, with their superior Divine Energy, have access to more potent and focused abilities compared to the locals, who are more versatile but less refined. Understanding how to channel and balance Mana and Divine Energy through vivid imagination is the key to mastering skills and excelling in the game of the gods.
