After a while, Heins and Lenissia finally departed, along with a grim looking Regner who shared a solemn nod with Marquis Van de Cederèz. Reish nodded back, his icy eyes dignified, but a tint of respect could be seen for the Earl within their cerulean depth.
"Rexy, why are you still bawling?" As they watched the family depart, Roxenne was utterly exasperated, comforting the crying Rexy who couldn't bear to part with Heins.
.
She even clutched her little hands on Heins unyieldingly, and only when the older baby coaxed her with the incomprehensible baby language that she finally let go.
Now, she burst out again. Roxenne sighed a little. What's wrong with her?
"My dear, how is Regner's born?" Reish was utterly amused, his cold eyes melted easily as soon as he laid his eyes on Roxenne. The lady leaned against him and giggled, "Oh dear, the boy was not ordinary at all. I don't know if it was just my intuition, but I feel like that boy could clearly understand every word I said. It was as if his mind was too intelligent to keep up with his baby body."
Reish raised his eyebrows and laughed, "Well, wouldn't that be good for little Rexy? I feel like this little princess would be as troublesome as you when you were young, so it's great that we could trust someone to take care of her."
Roxenne slapped his chest and scoffed, "Tsk, she was just a few weeks, and you're already thinking of giving her away. Although the boy was handsome, understanding, intelligent and cute, it wouldn't be so easy to take her away! And for the record, I am not troublesome! You're just too rigid! Right, my baby?"
Roxenne shook Rexy in her hands to vouch for her agreement, but she was speechless when the baby, who was clearly calm, suddenly burst out again, "What's wrong with you, my baby? Why do you keep crying? Damn, it's definitely because of that boy!"
The little baby girl became even more agitated, her bawling thunderous. Roxenne bit her lips, but in the end, she sighed like a deflated balloon, "Fine. Little Heins is so cute. He'll be perfect with you!"
Roxenne, who was initially trying to merely joke around, turned speechless when her little girl giggled and fell asleep immediately, turning all coy and cute, not at all like her prior demonic behaviour.
Roxenne felt a foreboding inside. She's not even a month old yet, it couldn't be that she would be stolen away immediately, right?!
Reish stood in silence as he watched them with a smile. His eyes gazed upon the boundless sky, and with a tint of concern in his icy eyes.
"Let's just hope they're not unreasonable. Otherwise, don't blame me for not being considerate!"
Meanwhile, in the Earl Regner Household.
Inside his own cradle, Heins closed his eyes and pondered deeply.
When his parents brought him home, his father immediately disclosed some details of this accident in their carriage.
The third wife of the Grand Duke is actually a heiress from a prominent Dukedom of Herebian Dynasty, one of the Woshtern Kingdom's allies.
But that's not important. The most eye-catching thing from this gossip was how strange it was discovered. It's not about how a baron's son and a Grand Duke's wife could conduct an elopement, though it was considered absurd, but how the accident was revealed.
It was said that a peasant was pulling a cart when a gold coin fell down from the sky. The peasant, considering this as an opportunity, went ahead to pouch it, but the coin rolled away as soon as it hit the ground, forcing the peasant to chased it.
The gold coin came to a stop before a confucianism building center, a well-known place where travelers and merchants from the Eastern Faction would gather. When the peasant bent down to get it, he saw a little slip of a letter hidden under a small gap below a stepping board.
And the letter contained of the baron's third son's 'reply' to the Grand Duke's third wife, where it mentioned some delirious and intimate conducts they had done.
The people on the second floor of the confucianism center coincidentally saw it, since most Eastern wonderers are quite sharp and attentive, and unlike the current Woshtern Kingdom's regime, where the scriptures to exvacate bodily potential was strictly distributed, the Eastern Faction freely shared a basic scripture up to a certain degree for everyobe.
Also, Easterner travelers and merchants couldn't be considered as ordinary in their hometown, having the right to travel outside. They're not by any means simple!
Thus, a commotion happened, and the 'culprit', the peasant, was unreasonably detained.
When they listened to the peasant's defense, they thought it was very absurd, so the peasant was tortured 30 times before the Crime Inspection Bureau confirmed it. After all, the grand stature of the Grand Duke was at stake here! It has to be checked and inspected repeteadly to ensure no mistakes were made.
Such a personal and complicated matter is usually not within its jurisdiction, but since it involved the esteemed Grand Duke, it must be treated at the highest order.
Unfortunately, despite this clear reasoning, Lady Roxenne was unlucky enough to be caught in this complicated quagmire before the result of the investigation was released, due to her disprespectful yet compelling retaliation towards the Grand Duke's third wife's sancitious attitude, so she couldn't escape the stigma of being an instigator of this whole ordeal.
Heins thought it was absurd, but realizing that his reincarnation, along with his 'genetical' cheat, were clearly more absurd, he became indifferent toward it.
I, a reincarnator, had no right to describe these insignificant matters as absurd!
With a disdainful coo, baby Heins yawned and snored immediately. He did not spend any points on Mind Computability, so his mental mind power was equivalent to an ordinary baby.
Well, sleeping is quite good too...
A week later.
"Pregnant?!"
Regner was so shocked that his eyes bulged, his jaw dropping and his body stiff. Lenissia nodded, showing a pristine smile on her beaming face. Clearly, the couple don't mind an incoming additional presence at all.
Sitting on the stool was Heins, who looked utterly listless. His parents had been at it for so goddamn long! A whole week he must resist the devilish temptation to peek! It's not that he is a pervert, but a baby's curiosity is annoyingly immesurable!
It was so bad he must increased his Willpower by two points, increasing it to three, and only then he could be at utter ease even they were shamelessly at it.
They clearly did not take him, a pure baby, into consideration!
Regner and Lenissia did not hesitate and once again kissed passionately, and little Heins was forced to suck on his thumb with baby black lines on his face as he turned his gaze away, his willpower ensures that his immesurable curiosity is under control.
He sighed, well, I shall wait for you, my little sibling...
After they kissed, Heins took his time to crawl towards the bookshelf, acting as if he was driven by curiosity and not at all by his interests, receiving him a series of cooes and awws from his shameless parents.
"Look! My little Heins wanted to read!" Lenissia's eyes shone in adoration. Regner hurriedly strotted over, not even wiping his wife's lipstick on his lips,
"Ohho! My little genius! I shall give you a ride today!"
Heins widened his eyes and cried in surprised when his father placed him on his shoulders and ran around the house, with laughters and giggles accompanying them all the way.
Regarding this, Heins was utterly conflicted. Yes, it's fun. Yes, it's like the dream family he had been dreaming of in his previous life.
But please, Father! Your son just wanted to read! Your son wanted to be the best version he could possibly be! So please ceased your foolishness and let your son free!
