As the hands continued to drag him down, focused his eyes on Vex and they began to glow light red. This was the effect of his cancelation ability. Vex who couldn't believe his eyes was in awe and disbelief.
"You! What have you done?" Said Vex
"I thought I told you, I nullified your power." Answered Eren
"That's not even possible. What kind of assured power is that?" Only the purifier bullets and those damn belts they put on us should have that effect!" Said Vex who was shocked at what he witnessed
"Well, I guess I'm a special case than. Now, let's see how this power of yours work." Said Eren
His eyes slowly changed colour's and went from Red to blue, this change was to show that he's ability changed from nullify to copying.
After he successfully copied Vex's ability. He formed two giant shadow spikes and aimed them at Vex, who had just regained his power. Vex used his power to move from one shadow to the next in order to save himself from the spikes.
"You really are capable of copying abilities!? I bet the underworld will pay a high fortune for you. I'll make sure to drag you with me, even if it means I have to break all bones in your body!"
Vex also forms weapons with his shadow's and times them at Eren, who instead of fighting with brute force decided to use his brain as he switches from Copying to nullify abilities. Although his timing is sloppy as there is a 10 second gap in the switching of abilities. However, due to his unique attack pattern he ultimately wins the clash of Shadows. Vex who saw this fight as a losing game couldn't belive that he was losing to a newly awakened meta human.
The fight concluded with a sharp shadow spike stabbing him through the stomach, resulting in a fatal wound.
Erens parents stood amd watched at the background as thier son fought Vex. Even though they wanted to help, they knew that by getting in the way they would just be a burden to their son.
They quickly went on to consult their son as he just stood there after his fight with Vex. They quickly ran back to the house and Calked the police, however instead if saying it was their son who fought off Vex, they said it was a passing by meta-human. One of the police however didn't buy their story, he had a watch that can scan the area around him for any Meta-humans.
"Mr and Mrs Wayne. Do you two stay alone by any chance?" Asked the policeman
"No, we leave with our son. But he hasn't come back home from work yet." Answred his father
"Is your son a Meta-human by any chance?"
"No officer, he hasn't yet awakend his meta gens. If anything I pray it stays that way." Said Mrs Wayne.
"Alright, Mr and Mrs Wayne. Thanks for your time. And if your son isn't back by tomorrow you can come by and fill in a missing person case. Cheers."
A month had passed since the issue with Vex, Eren struggled to come to terms with his newfound powers. The memories of the catastrophic event that had granted him these abilities still lingered in his mind. He couldn't shake the feeling of guilt and responsibility for the destruction he had caused.
As he wandered the streets of New Haven, Eren stumbled upon a group of rogue meta-humans terrorizing a local market. The meta-humans, with their vibrant costumes and flashy powers, seemed to be enjoying the chaos they were causing. Without hesitation, Eren sprang into action.
He focused his mind, reaching out with his powers to copy the abilities of the meta-humans. It was a strange, tingling sensation, like his brain was expanding to accommodate the new information. As he copied the powers, Eren felt a surge of energy and confidence.
He quicky out on a mask and with his newfound abilities, Eren charged into battle. He used the meta-humans' own powers against them, creating a dazzling display of light and sound. The crowd watched in awe as Eren took down the villains one by one.
When the dust settled, Eren stood victorious, his chest heaving with exhaustion. The crowd cheered, and for the first time, Eren felt a sense of purpose. Maybe, just maybe, his powers could be used for good.
As Eren quickly walked away from the scene, he was approached by a figure in a black suit. The man introduced himself as Agent Thompson.
"Eren Wayne, you have a gift," Agent Thompson said, his eyes gleaming with intensity
"We can help you develop it, teach you how to use your powers for the greater good. Are you interested?" Eren hesitated, unsure of what to do. But as he looked out at the city, he knew that he had a responsibility to use his powers to protect the innocent.
"Look ,I don't know know what you're talking about, man." Said Eren as he continued to walk away, that was until he heard what came out of Agent Thompsons mouth next.
" A month ago you awakened your powers and Killed Victor Vex and his goons. Your parents calked and said that it was a passing Meta-human who saved them , but it was you. And a month ago i chose to overlook this meta and not arrest you for murder and your parents for lying to the police on the spot." Said Thompson
Eren who froze in fear upon hearing this slowly turned and looked at Thompson.
"What do you want?" He said
"Like I already told you, I'm here to recruit you to Join Luminari. It's a project that was funded by the our government to create a super hero unit that will be our planets last line of defense."
"Fine. I'll go with you, but on one condition."
"What's that?"
"Don't you ever threaten my family, ever again." Eren unleashes a murderous aura. "Are we clear?"
"The little pup has some bite in him, that's cute. But, here's a lesson for you, kid." Agent Thompson instantly appears next to Eren with a knife on his throat. "Don't think I'm a push over, alright?"
