Chapter 2 - spoiler part 2

Alright, let's dive back into the world of alliances and rivalries—because, as I said earlier, it's time to set the stage more clearly, especially when it comes to the countries and their leaders.

The world may be vast, but when it comes to powerful nations, there are only a few. For example, the light elves have a single, united kingdom, while the dark elves control a smaller—but fiercely powerful—country of their own.

Once upon a time, there was unity between the light elves and the dark elves. They stood together, allies through war and peace. But those days are long gone. Now, the dark elves are counted among the enemies of the light.

The kingdom of the light elves is simply known as the Elf Kingdom. It is a monarchy, ruled with grace and tradition. Beneath the king, a council of wise elders serves as sub-leaders, guiding policy and protecting ancient customs.

The current king is Elrand Silvertongue, a name known across continents. He is the oldest of all the current world leaders—ancient even by elven standards—and carries the weight of centuries on his shoulders.

Zephyr Mountainveil—a kingdom that shares its name with the royal bloodline—is the proud nation of the dark elves. Yes, the kingdom and its ruling family bear the same name, a symbol of their deep-rooted identity and power. Like their light elf counterparts, Zephyr Mountainveil is governed by a monarchy, with authority firmly in the hands of its royal family.

Over 800 years ago, this land was once a part of the Elf Kingdom. But a bitter war—one that never truly ended—led to its secession. The scars of that conflict still linger, etched into both history and the hearts of its people.

The current ruler is Queen Elara Zephyr, the 23rd monarch to sit on the obsidian throne of Zephyr Mountainveil. Under her rule, the kingdom commands two vassal estates, each powerful in their own right, and loyal to the Zephyr bloodline.

Now, let us turn our gaze to the neighbors of the elven realms—the enigmatic Xing Fu Dynasty.

Shrouded in mystery and veiled in lost history, the origins of this dynasty stretch back so far that some claim it has ruled for over 10,000 years. The Xing Fu Dynasty is home to the vampire race, an ancient lineage with a legacy steeped in blood, power, and elegance. Despite the shadows that obscure their past, their present influence is undeniable.

For the past 3,000 years, the Xing Fu Dynasty has waged an unrelenting war against the Light Elf Kingdom—a conflict known across the lands as the VEW War (Vampire-Elf War). And while they are sworn enemies of the Light Elves, they have long maintained an unspoken alliance with the Dark Elves of Zephyr Mountainveil.

Unlike traditional monarchies, the governance of the Xing Fu Dynasty is unique. Though the title of "King" exists, it is not inherited by blood. Instead, a Council of Fourteen—vampires chosen for their wisdom, strength, or cunning—elect the ruler from among two nominated candidates. The one who garners the most votes ascends to the throne. And in rare instances of a tie, the decision is settled not with politics—but with a friendly duel, as is their ancient custom.

The current ruler of the vampires is King Bryce Norton, a strategist and statesman with a presence as commanding as the twilight itself.

Now, we journey into the untamed and vibrant lands of the Demi-Human races—a diverse collection of tribes and lineages, each blessed with unique traits drawn from the wilds of nature itself.

From the graceful catfolk, the proud lionkin, the fierce tiger clans, to the wise deerborn, mysterious crows, cunning serpentine folk, and many others, the demi-humans form a rich mosaic of cultures and abilities. Though their tribes are many, they are united by common values of strength, honor, and freedom.

Their civilizations are largely centered around two primary kingdoms—both strong allies, bound by ancient oaths and shared bloodlines.

They reside in the powerful and sprawling Tibetci Nation, a vast region known as the sacred homeland of the demi-humans. It is not only a political entity but also a cultural sanctuary where traditions are fiercely protected and ancestral wisdom is passed down through generations.

While the demi-humans make up a multitude of beastly races, there exists another proud and independent aquatic kingdom: the Merfolk, who rule the great oceans with elegance and power. Though not part of the Tibetci Nation, they are recognized as a sovereign people with longstanding friendly relations with the demi-human kingdoms.

The current King of the Merfolk is Undarius, a ruler as fluid and unpredictable as the tides themselves.

The chosen Representative of the Demi-Human Nations on the world stage is Lucas Fortune, a charismatic leader known for his strength in battle and wisdom in diplomacy.

Together, the demi-humans and merfolk stand as one of the world's most adaptable and resilient forces—often underestimated, but never outmatched.

Humans… ah, humans. Honestly, I'm getting a little tired of spoiling everything, but fine—let's dive into their side of the world.

Let's start with Alexander Palijack, the 103rd King of the mighty Ausha Empire. Among all human nations, the Ausha Empire follows the authority of the central council more strictly than any other. The Empire itself is only 300 years old under its current name, but its roots stretch back over 1,100 years, through bloodshed, ambition, and a whole lot of throne-snatching.

Next comes Cyril Park, the King of Nonceso. This country is like a puzzle box—full of twisted borders, odd treaties, and murky politics. Fittingly, their king is just as complicated. He smiles like a saint, stabs like a devil, and no one's ever sure which one they're talking to.

Then there's Edmund White, King of Tasia—a land famed for its silk, spices, and subtle diplomacy. Tasia is a proud ally of Ausha and Nonceso, along with a collection of smaller but historically significant territories.

Now, don't get me wrong—there are more kings. Plenty more. But if I give it all away now, who's going to read the rest of the novel, huh?

These three kingdoms—Ausha, Nonceso, and Tasia—along with a few lesser lands, have formed a powerful alliance known as the Luciana Union. Their pact? If even one nation in the union is attacked, the others will rise and strike back without hesitation, even if they weren't touched. Sounds a bit too idealistic, right? Or reckless? You'd be surprised how many real-world treaties are just like that. But hey, let's not get political…

Now, let's return to the again humans, shall we?

I can already hear you thinking: "How many times do I have to read through this mess?" Maybe you're annoyed. Maybe you feel empty from all the spoilers. Fair enough. But let's cut through the nonsense and focus on what really matters.

Marmaduke Blackstart—leader of the Seven Dark Clans, ruling over a shadowy domain. He stands as one of the fiercest enemies of the Luciana Union.

Theodore Cleisthenes—Prime Minister of the Rance Republic. Once the war minister of the Ausha Empire, he tried to bring reform but was ultimately forced to flee. Rescued by rebels, and with a tangled web of peace treaties and the eventual fall of the Hero Nation, the Rance Republic rose from the ashes. It now operates as a democracy, though its roots are stained with betrayal.

Rowan Sun—a former farmer turned revolutionary. He rallied the broken and disillusioned, founding the UPSC—a republic that pretends to be a democracy but runs like a dictatorship. Religion? Banned outright. Rowan believes war and chaos stem from faith and divinity, so he purged both from his system.

Oh, and about the Hero Nation—it no longer exists. Once a symbol of power and unity, it crumbled. What's left of it became the Rance Republic and parts of UPSC.

This is the state of humanity now—fractured, conflicted, and constantly at odds with itself. Internal strife is a constant, even when the bigger threats loom on the horizon.

The three nations—Rance Republic, UPSC, and the Dark Clans—have turned against humanity. They've allied with demons, vampires, and dark elves.

Let that sink in.

And finally… the Red Moon Empire. I mentioned them before, but now let me properly introduce you to the last and perhaps most mysterious of all nations.

Hidden deep within the ancient lands lies the Spirit Kingdom, also known as the Fairy Kingdom. Very little is known about them—not even Elrand Silvertongue, the oldest of all elf kings, can claim to understand their ways or origins. Their existence is cloaked in myth, legend, and whispers carried by the wind.

They are a nation of complete isolation.

Neutral in every war, uninvolved in every alliance. They've refused every call for aid—no matter how dire the threat. Outsiders are strictly forbidden from entering, and those within are forbidden from leaving. Their borders are sealed tighter than any fortress.

As of now, no one truly knows what they look like, how they live, or what power they hold… only that they exist—and they share a single border: with the Red Moon Empire.

What lies beyond that veil of secrecy? That… remains a mystery.

This is just the beginning.
