Hearing the footsteps getting closer, Joaqin had no choice but to take the shaking egg with him and escape from there as quickly as possible.
"It looks like the dark witches know I'm still alive," Joaquin muttered as he continued to run through the now-gripping forest.
Again, the egg in Joaqin's arms shook as if it understood what he was saying. But Joaqindidn't have time to think about this; even though he wanted to give up, he didn't want to die at the hands of those damn dark witches.
"Damn it!" Joaqin Wore when he realized that the people chasing him were getting closer; he could even feel goosebumps on his neck because of the evil aura carried by the people chasing him.
A dark shadow moved quickly towards Joaqin, and the shadow pulled Joaqin's leg and made him fall hard to the ground.
The egg in Joaqin's arms was thrown a short distance from him. He tried to grab the egg back, but again, his leg was pulled by the dark shadow.
Joaqin tried to break free from the grip of the dark shadow by struggling with all his might, but his efforts were in vain because the grip was getting stronger.
"Get the hell off me!" Joaqin hissed harshly as he continued to try to free himself.
The distance between Joaqin and the egg grew further and further away. Joaqin was pulled almost 100 meters by the dark shadow before he could finally see the figure pulling him out of the darkness.
Joaqin's whole body aches from being scratched by the branches and rocks around the forest.
Joaqin's body stiffened when he finally got a glimpse of the figure that had been chasing him. Joaqinhad previously thought that the group attacking his kingdom were dark wizards, but now he realized that it wasn't them.
Joaqin could see that the people chasing him had no faces; they were wearing all-black robes, and he couldn't see their faces behind the hoods they were wearing.
Not only that, but the fact that they were floating made Joaqin's hair stand on end. Joaqin had never seen such a terrifying figure before, so he didn't understand why they had come to attack his kingdom.
"Impossible, how could this happen?" Joaquin muttered in disbelief, his eyes round with shock.
He was so shocked that Joaqin's body stopped resisting, and he stared straight at the terrifying figure before him.
Joaqin even forgot to breathe when he learned this fact. It was then that Joaqin saw a ball of energy starting to gather from the terrifying figure, and Joaqin realized that they intended to kill him, too.
Only then did Joaqin feel panic at what was happening? As the vortex of accumulated dark energy began to move towards Joaqin, a golden white light radiated and made Joaqin close his eyes because the light was too bright for him to see.
The moment Joaqin opened his eyes again, he found that the terrible figure was no longer there.
"Oh my God, I almost died for real," said Joaquin, finally able to breathe a sigh of relief at this point.
Joaqin also lay down on the ground with relief; at least for now, he didn't have to fight the shadow that was chasing him. However, Joaqincouldn't just be relieved because he heard a howling sound not far from him.
Instantly, Joaqin's body stiffened again, and he turned his head to the source of the howling.
For a moment, Joaqin couldn't believe what he was seeing. Not far from his current position, Joaqin could see a small wolf with silvery white fur that felt familiar to him.
The small wolf's sharp, confused eyes stared straight at Joaquin. For a moment, Joaqin and the little wolf stared at each other until, finally, Joaqin remembered his egg.
"My egg?!" Joaqin hurriedly got up from his position and ran to look for the egg that had been thrown out of his arms earlier.
When Joaqin managed to find the egg, he found that the shell had broken. And not far from the broken shell was the little wolf he had seen earlier.
Joaqin stared back and forth at the little wolf and the broken shell, still unable to understand what was happening.
"Don't tell me you hatched from this egg?" Joaqin pointed at the little wolf, who was tilting his head in confusion.
Seeing the wolf's reaction, Joaqinfelt stupid for trying to communicate with a Beast. Maybe Beast Tamers would easily communicate with the Beasts.
However, Joaqin was not a Beast Tamer, so he could not communicate with these Beasts. Joaqin sighed softly and shook his head to refocus.
"I'm sorry I confused you. I was stupid for trying to talk to an animal that couldn't talk," Joaqin continued.
Joaqin crouched in front of the broken egg and began to collect the pieces because, no matter what, this egg was his mother's last legacy.
"Who said I can't talk?!"
A voice was heard in Joaqin's head, which made him look around to find out who was talking to him. He found no one around him.
"Hey, stupid boy, I'm the one talking to you!" The little wolf began to jump up and down in front of Joaqin while staring at him fiercely.
"You can really talk?" Joaqin was stunned when he saw the little wolf staring at him angrily.
"Of course!" The little wolf proudly raised his chin, showing Joaqin that he was no ordinary Beast.
"But I'm not a Beast Tamer. How could you possibly communicate with me?" Joaqin was still in shock as the little wolf's voice continued to ring in his head.
This time, the little wolf was silent and stared intently at Joaqin without answering his question.
"Stupid boy, we have to go. The evil creature has returned to chase you," said the little wolf seriously this time.
Joaqin looked nervous when he heard that the terrible figure had returned and was chasing him again. Joaqin was so anxious that he did not realize the call the little wolf had given him.
When Joaqin was silent, the little wolf stepped towards the broken shell, and when its little paw touched it, the broken shell was sucked into the little wolf's body.
Joaqin's eyes widened in shock at what the little wolf did. It didn't stop there; the little wolf started jumping on Joaqin's head.
"Let's go quickly! What else are you waiting for!" The little wolf scolded Joaqin again because he was still silent like an idiot.
